The 30fps frame rate definitely hurt my hype for this game.
From a side: 30 fps( i remember you its a console, not a 3000$ pc)
Other side: deepest story, AWESOME performance by melina, art style and audio are at top level, all the combat is capturated with over 72 hours in camera( and no combo build in computer) , every aspect of the game is to focus on senua's journey
And what do you think in the most: 30 fps, ok.

i love short games, the problem is does it have replayability, unlockables and such.. resident evil games can be beaten in 4 hours but can be played hundreds of times.........i doubt hellblade will have any replayability AT ALL and what everyone else says 30fps sucks too

Who wants to get excited for some walking simulator like the boring ass first game
I quite like that Ninja Theory's big pre-launch event was about psychosis and how it is portrayed in their games. This is their passion project so I really don't mind that it's all fairly lowkey, like the original - dev diaries were the main marketing for it, rather than weeks (or months) of trying to pretend a pretty niche game is the latest AAA standard bearer for a console. I'm a PC gamer though so my excitement to play has survived seeing the specs.
Hype is a double edged sword. Look at Fallout 76, Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man's Sky. All of them had major hype behind them, because gamers had a bloated image of what game they were about to play, due to unfulfilled promisses and false advertisements. At least Ninja Theory is transparant on this upcoming release.
The original was one of the most powerful emotional experiences I’ve ever had. But I can’t justify the expense of buying an Xbox for this one game, which will then sit idle for months on end after completion. There’s a large part of me that hopes this game will go beyond Xbox exclusivity. But, I think it would have to perform badly for that to be the case. Which is not something I’d wish upon the creators involved. Layoffs and closures are rife at the moment.
Can anyone explain to me why 30fps is such a big deal? Cuz to me, it just seems like a trendy nitpick. We've been playing 30fps for years and years. 60 isn't the standard, yet.
Nice comment from 2013. Almost every game runs at 60 FPS, that's why the games that don't go out of their way to specify it
If you have an OLED 120Hz tv 30fps is almost unplayable. Stuttering is exacerbated, almost to the point of being nauseating. It is better with VRR enabled or if using an LED panel, but with OLED 30fps feels almost like 15fps.

Lock in 30FPS for cinematic reason is bs,let player choose how they want to play their game or just admit they needed more time n 60fps will be available in the future, Bethesda said Starfield is lock in 30fps cuz it's crucial for the game to run properly n now they're releasing a 60fps update soon, Xbox's game dev has a habit being being inconsistent in their statement n when this game eventually comes to Playstation they're gonna has 60fps mode

One of xbox's biggest problem is they barely advertise anymore. I work in a bar with a dozen plus TVs set to all different channels, i see PS ads all the time, ive seen Halo TV shoe ads, and Fallout TV show ads, but ZERO game ads in a long time

Even if the game is more 'cinematic', do you never rewatch movies? I replayed the first Hellblade at least 5 times, because it is a short time investment and the story is really good.

When most the audience I’m seeing was on PlayStation yeah don’t see it doing too hot as not many are gonna buy a Xbox for game that runs at 30 fps and is really short. Also there’s next to no marketing as I’ve yet to see anything since the preview stuff and learning about its frame rate like was it March I last heard something talk about it? Overall it feels like jojo part 6 where it was dropped on Netflix where all hype kinda just died
In my opinion I can’t get excited for a game that took 8YRS and it’s only 8hrs long. Not a fan of that at all.

I think the recent revelations (30fps, forced letterbox, one-on-one combat only) definitely threw some cold water on the hype. I'll be very interested to see some uninterrupted gameplay (whenever they decide to show it).

No phsycial, 30fps[not sure if PC is but wit hthem saying they wanted to do that to make hte game feel more like the 30fps movies. I'm guessing PC version is capped at 30fps also. The game is very very niche. even on ps4 it wasn't really all that well liked. it was just boring.

Stellar Blade happened. With that setting records, all the controversy, hatred from DEI where Microsoft signed on to it banning attractive females and all the agenda pushing- Kabrutus has placed Microsoft on their list and as result so many just blacklisted it. For me, Xbox fanboys mock us on PS but were bragging about Hellblade 2 yet the game itself? It just is so meh sorry. 1v1 every fight, Eve in contrast is swamped easily and has to use timed defense from parries to dodges to using her skills... Eve has dominated the news and discussions for good or ill whilst Hellblade 2 is only discussed in disappointment- that's why you've seen zero hype for it

Announcements years and years out from a release, and even before production starts, are often because the studio is recruiting staff to make the game they're announcing.

The problem is you are expecting xbox to market this game like PlayStation would. PlayStation would spend millions to market this game. Xbox? They would just post a tweet saying "hellblade 2 hits gamepass may 26" thats it, and thats the problem. Plus it being only 30fps and like what? 7-8 hours? I think the 30fps on series X has damaged it as well as the combat and puzzles haven't changed that much, in my opinion i dont think Hellblade needed a sequel it felt like a complete story, of course if Microsoft didn't buy them they would have shut down and real reason your not seeing any Hype Alex its a indy AA game its not AAA game also it will come to PS5 a year later.

I tried the first game 3 times to play the first one and was just too bored to push through multiple checkpoints in one sitting. Admittedly this interactive movie type games aren’t for me, simple kinda lame puzzles , beautiful but empty corridors with no collectibles or really anything of interest. And two button combat. This game is gonna go like a fart in the wind in one weekend, I like listening to him talk about it but I have zero interest even for free on gamepass
Honestly I never heard of the first one until it had been out awhile, and you know me typically I know about every upcoming game. Either way it is kinda strange considering this was one of there biggest reveals when the Series X/S was announced. Hype or no hype it's day one for me. Except I will be playing it on PC lol
Of course it would sell better on the console that has twice as many units. Starfield sold 3 million copies on xbox Because most played it on gamepass. There are those of us that buy xbox exclusives without a gamepass subscription but not enough to push any type of numbers
Gamepass really kills any profit could be made. In my opinion an exclusive should not be day one gamepass I’d say drop one on gamepass in 2-3 years at least.

I can see a lot of casuals buying an Xbox if Call of duty games are on gamepass, but that doesn't mean anything to developers selling their games cuz casuals don't buy many games anyway. Sports, CoD, GTA, maybe a few other games.
Lets be real, the first game was very mid tier. It bairley did just enough to keep you interested. I was just confused during the whole game. Was it real or was it all in her head? No clue. Compared to the blockbusters that sony puts out, this doesnt compare.

First off there is hype, especially for the people that love the first game. Second off the game isn’t 60 it’s 50 so not even full price. Third the game will be at least 8 hours long. And fourth it’s on gamepass so if paying 50 for a 8 hour game makes you cry then just pay for one month of gamepass for 15 bucks and play it and be done.

@@Cheddar_96He is right though. The game shoulr have been $40 for what it is. $50 is a bit too much for 8 hours game. And on top of that half the game is scripted movie. And no I am not going to subscribe to Gamepass just to play one game. I like owning the game I paid for. I will probably wait for a steep sale now.
