Sun Haven would be a nice fantasy farming game...if not for the slow loading times and frequent crashes This issue is more apparent on the switch port. Devs are working on patches but I suggest keeping the game on wishlist until further updates
@SiobhanR28 Sun Haven is definitely fun and gorgeous but I gave up with the game crashing every so often. And it doesn't help that saving the game only happens after sleeping. If there was a quicksave button, the problem would be solved.
Yeah, i bought it not knowing of the crashes so I'm kinda bummed, but I hear the devs have the patch ready to go, it's just being held up by Nintendo. So hopefully in the next week or so it should be playable.
My gaming goal for this year is to complete 3 games from my backlog. More challenging than it sounds because they're mostly 50-100 hour games and I only have 1-2 evenings a week to play them. Current candidates are Romancing Saga 2, Pokemon Legends Arceus, Unicorn Overlord, and SMT5V.

That Sun Haven looks amazing with rune factory star dew valley vibes and would be perfect as a new cozy games! 2025 will still be an insane year for the Switch! Suikoden remasters and Xenoblade Chronicles X are my most anticipated games! I can soon finally own a physical copy for Suikoden remaster. Played these on the PS1 way back highschool and one of the reasons i fell in love with the jrpg genre, particularly 2. Good ol' days! Can't wait to see more videos from you guys this 2025!❤

my new years resolution was to finish my backlog before buying new games because reviewed just how much I picked up in the last year and a half, I can still enjoy these videos altruistically!
Whats everyone hoping for in 2025? I'm hoping for more Ports, a Switch 2 that can handle ports of PS4 games and inspire EA to release a mainline The Sims game on it. However if we get new IP, I'd like to see more realistic racing sims like Forza Motorsport and Horizon and RTS games like Age of Empires and Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun. I know these are lofty, pipe dreams but its the only way I can see me investing in a Switch 2 over a Asus ROG Ally X or similar. Cheers SwitchUp 😊!
Just a heads up, Sun Haven's not the best port. From my short time playin, I got a few crashes, and a possible (but not always) fix, is to disable shadows. Can't promise it won't still crash though. If you can get around that, it's fun.

Currently waltzing through Arise: a simple story. Got it at bargain basement price so i have little expectations and this makes the game more fun because it doesn't need to justify the price. Reminds me of buying games on the spectrum- happy days
I have over 200 hours in Sun Haven on my Deck. It's an excellent experience, and I hope they can get the port optimized for Switch. Putting Universe for Sale on my wishlist!
Don't forget about Tails of Iron 2 coming out on the 26th! Super hyped for that game! Not sure if this coming to Switch also but I pre-ordered it on my PS5. I know the first game was on switch.
I really hope Ys oath in Felghana fixed some of the issues that previous versions had. Like the wind power flight mechanic. Which is used to cross large spaces and never worked right in the original. The controls were super buggy and and almost never actually got you where you were trying to go
I just picked up Unicorn Overlord, and Turtles Splintered Fate. I think I’m going to be busy for a while. I’m at the last boss of Dragon Quest 3 though so that’s a plus.
Happy new year. Honestly Boti and Gunlocked look like the winners here. My time is good but I’ve only played it on ps5. I heard it has some performance issues on switch.
Gun and Draguns is a lot of fun. The upgrades are well balancrd and the gameplay loop is addictive. The graphics are a little janky and the framerate can chig at times, but it is still a worthwhile playthrough.
oath in felghana is a fantastic Ys game and im definitely fine with repurchasing it for switch, am hoping the recently announced port of the Ys IV remake makes it west too since im always happy for more falcom on switch.
I'm still playing BOTW -no judgemebts - but trying 1 game a week on my backlog. The competitive gamer in my hates it, but it's the only way as a working professional to keep up with it all. Your suggestions help a lot!
Welcome back Glen! Love the video but I strongly suggest people hold off on Sun Haven. The Switch Port is not stable and really shouldn’t be on the store in the state it’s in.
One thing about Sun Haven currently is that it’s basically unplayable on the switch :( there’s a patch waiting to be approved but who knows if that’ll work. The sub Reddit is pretty active about it
I've heard everyone say that Sun Haven is currently broken on switch so stay away until it gets fixed. The devs claim a patch has been sent to Nintendo but they've been saying that for a while now so I'm skeptical. The game is really great on pc and I've waited for the switch version for a long time but I won't be giving them any money for it until they prove they can make it run. I'm pretty tired of devs pushing out broken switch ports.
Boti is a game that's been sitting on my steam wishlist for ages so I'm glad it's coming to a platform I actually play on. No idea it had co op though!
Ys Memoire looks good - looks like another Ys game I have on the backlog, actually. Can't remember the name of it but very similar arcadey vibe for sure.

Sure, it was originally an apple arcade game gotcha game, but apparently, they made it easy to get currency to summon characters, improved the drop rate, and it's a good turn based rpg.

Arceus was a solid game! I need to get back into Unicorn Overlord. That was fun, but can be pretty long if you want to do a lot of the extra stuff

It’s ok a little blurry and during the first person segments it’s sub 30 but generally ok for a strategy. Way better than at launch. Mark
