One of my all time favorite single malts is the Longmorn-Glenlivet 1971/2003 32 YO Scott's Selection single malt cask strength. A great distillery with a great history. Too bad they don’t get the respect they deserve.
I've been considering this one recently so I was glad to see you've covered it already. I'll probably get a bottle soon, sounds worth a try. Thanks for the review.
I still have a unopened Longmorn 15 squirreled away. As to the new Longmorn 16 @ 130.00 it was worth the price to me, I found it to be very good. I acknowledge others experiences may differ though. As to the Longmorn 18 I have yet to see it in my area.
Just got a bottle of this last week. I'm still trying to understand it fully. So far, it's pretty damned good. The one that most impressed me recently though was the Deanston 12yo which is priced at £35. Exceptional value IMO
It's an interesting one. Took me a while too. It's VERY good (as in high quality), but I didn't find it very “more-ish.” Undeniably high quality stuff though.
Great review for a fantastic bottle. This is what I would all a hipflask whisky for a stroll out in the meadows or a small picnic with friends. I have actually done both with this and somehow the subtle flavors are beautifully accentuated in nature. How do you think this compares with the Longmorn 15?
I think the 15 has more sparkle and instant gratification. This one is better, but it's subtle. More contemplative, would do great on a nature stroll (great idea) or on a quiet evening with a book.
Hi liking your videos..just getting started into whisky journey ..I am India..you love to have your reviews of Indian single malt...Amrut Fusion. & Pual John brilliance some day..thanks
Hi Alok. I'm a big fan of Indian whisky. I will get around to doing more Amruts and John Pauls at some point, but it might take a while, as I have a lot of scotch to get through first. Thanks for watching!
Great review like always, can you give us your thoughts on the Lagavulin 8 Year, here in Arkansas goes for 60$ , I love Lagavulin, I have 2 bottles of the 16 but cost 110$, I don't want to spend 100$ on my next Lagavulin, but 60$ for the 8 Year old might be worth it,
Thanks again for the support! The 8 is a good one and that's a great price for it, but if you're looking for a solid alternative to the 16 at a reasonable price, you might want to look to other brands. Personally I like Bunnahabhain Toiteach a Dha. Less refined, but punchier peat with a nice sherry compliment. Great stuff if you can find it!
I agree with the comments here. If you don't want to go for the 8 for 60$, I recommend Ledaig 10 (I hope its available in AK), Port Charlotte 10 or Longrow (NAS). Both are in that 55-65$ range and excellent alternatives for the Lgavulin 8.
@@Gwhisky I just bought mine at $105 usd at a Hongkong Dutyfree. I think it's a good buy for me because Its so hard to find. Man, i'd like to go to Taiwan next time just for the whisky prices there.
Oh I see. I don't write word-for-word scripts, but I do prepare notes and talking points in advance. This helps me keep the reviews concise and to the point. I also prepare tasting notes in advance. I'm not reading them, but many of them are memorized, while some I add in as I drink. Why would you assume they're someone else's notes and not my own? And why is it bad to prepare a video in advance?

Longmorn makes incredible whisky. I just wish they had more standard bottlings available. That 32 year old sounds amazing!

This is one that I think you'll enjoy quite a lot.
Had been thinking about this one for a while now, thanks for helping me pull the trigger!
It's a good one. Hope you enjoy it!
You have convinced me. Picking one up tomorrow (noticed it’s soon out stock here). Never had a Longmorn 😊
It's a beauty! 🥃
@@Gwhisky Guess I’ll find out later in the evening 😬 Now I have a brand new bottle in the house 🥃

I thought the 16 was nice, but overpriced. Of course opinions vary, part of the fun of whisky. Great channel btw! Subscribed!
Managed to find this and the 23 in the secret speyside collection, naturally I added them to the collection 👌
Will review them both sooner or later.
Nice! Looking forward to it! 🥃

My favorite is the old 16 year discontinued version....A perfect dram maybe you can review some time???
Haven't seen it for a while. I'll keep an eye out for it! 🥃

Beautiful drink
U forgot to mention longmorn 15 use colouring. And old longmorn 16 (green bottle) is very sought after compared to purple 1

thank you for reply but that bunnahabhain I've never seen here in NW Arkansas, the Bunnahabhain I see here the 12 years and is 70$,
60$ is very reasonable price, buddy, and worth a shot, go for it.

How do you know it's natural colour if it doesn't say on the label?
yup, this is next for me :D
Sounds great, i'm mouthwatering. So pitty it seems hard to find in shop.
Yeah this was a limited release. 酒條通 used to carry it, but I haven't seen it there in a while.
it's ok because your reviews make my whisky bucket list very long now 😋😋
Hi G. How much was it?
Here this costs just over USD $100. 🥃

Enjoy!
"Cheaper 18 year olds out there". Someone tell Matt Gaetz
A Longmorn 1''5 review would * not * be interesting * at all * .
U CAN FORGET ABOUT REVIEWING IT!

😂😂😂 Gotcha!
I think it's not okay to read everything, don't you have notes of your own?
What?
@@Gwhisky it seems you read the notes. You always look to the right before you tell us „your“ tasts

Sure do. I'm at gwhiskytw. 🙂
