    When I watch your videos I have this feeling, that you always try to go straight to the point, without overthinking stuff. Whether it is true or not it is very inspiring!! Also your range of skills is really huge and they all seem to work together. I for instance, have many skills but they look like separate islands to me....

      Thanks Marek! Yes, I think thats true, but thats the trick, just do it, don't think about how you can't.

    The auto charging is very cool. Do you prefer using Fusion 360 over Rhino 3d?

    • @KrisTemmermanNP
      @KrisTemmermanNP  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks! I enjoyed working with Rhino more than working with Fusion. Its easier and faster do do something quick. But the parametric thing is really the way to go. So much easier to make changes etc. So I don't think I'll switch back to Rhino any time soon.

    • @KrisTemmermanNP
      @KrisTemmermanNP  7 лет назад

      Thanks :)
      This is what I use:
      float vecX = moveVector.x*cos( dirAngle)-moveVector.y*sin(dirAngle);
      float vecY = moveVector.x*sin( dirAngle)+moveVector.y*cos(dirAngle);
      motorSpeed1 =vecX
      motorSpeed2 =vecX*cos(toRad(-120))-vecY *sin(toRad(-120));
      motorSpeed.3 =vecX*cos(toRad(120))-vecY *sin(toRad(120));
      You can get there with basic geometry.
      check my test simulation in the first video: ruclips.net/video/Q4cmc4eKXr0/видео.html

    Where did you get the omni wheels? do they make larger ones? I am looking for something about this size but the height of a garbage can/stool to be used as a personal mobility device. My wheelchair takes up too much space and they seriously need to be able to go sideways.

    • @KrisTemmermanNP
      @KrisTemmermanNP  6 лет назад

      They came from robotshop .com But I never saw omniwheels big enough for that. There are mecanum wheels for such applications. Stuff like this: www.aliexpress.com/item/6-inch-6inch-mecanum-wheel-brushless-non-gear-electric-scooter-hub-motor-phub-203/32832309990.html Good luck!

    @StanislavJochman 7 лет назад

    can you make video explaining how omniwheels work and how to calculate motor rotation

    • @KrisTemmermanNP
      @KrisTemmermanNP  7 лет назад +1

      I'm not really good at explaining, thats why I don't do that a lot :)
      you can calculate te motor rotation like this:
      float vecX = moveVector.x*cos( moveAngle)-moveVector.y*sin(moveAngle);
      float vecY = moveVector.x*sin( moveAngle)+moveVector.y*cos(moveAngle);
      motorSpeed1 =vecX
      motorSpeed2 =vecX*cos(toRad(-120))-vecY *sin(toRad(-120));
      motorSpeed.3 =vecX*cos(toRad(120))-vecY *sin(toRad(120));

    • @KrisTemmermanNP

      I had the original driver boards laying around. but i wanted to build 2 robots, so i went with cheaper driver boards. same with the wheels, they are also cheaper+ a little bit bigger, so the robot can move faster.
