Jim Hacking is rhe best with the ds-5535 problem. He helped us with writ of manndamus and it worked very quickly. Dont be scared to get your visa this way. I was terrified to sue the government, but Jim Havking took care of everything. It is well worth the money. Who knows we’d probably still be waiting if it weren’t for him. Best decision I ever made.

That is the situation with our mother (all children 4 and grandchildren 8 are US citizens in Texas) DQ in 2021 , interviewed march last year at Abu Dhabi embassy and we are in AP since then after D5535.

My fiancé sent the Ds form last week ,I wonder how long should we wait for an answer from the embassy?

What if you circumvent them and file this form alongside your application? Would you recommend this strategy?

As an F1 visa hoping to start this Fall, I was given this form. I was given passport back with the barcode that should not be removed. I am wondering if I continue to wait for months if I am allowed to visit another country for family emergency reasons. I really want to visit this family member while I wait. Does that go against my visa getting approved?
