She started me with the reading and writing test using the tablet. My Reading test was: Which State has the most people? Writing test: California has the most people. Next was the civic test. I answered the first 6 questions. Q1. What does the constitution do? Q2. What major event happened on September 11, 2001, in the United States? Q3. Who is the commander in chief of the military? Q4. What is the supreme law of the land? Q5. What happened at the constitutional convention? Q6. Who was the first president? The last part was reviewing my N-400 application. No definitions. To those who may be nervous, I say, relax, watch the videos, listen to the audios even if you are cooking, washing etc. Whoever is preparing for this interview, I tell you, with God's help, you will also succeed. you get your greencard when you get your permanent citizenship. and 100 questions is not alot. alot of stuff is just trivia and basic understanding of the law. the test is designed to how well you integrate/assimilate to american society. these who don't assimilate well they consider to be burden on their society.

I was interviewed in New York and the woman interviewing me was extremely rude and disrespectful. Super far from what is shown in the video here. I think people should be prepared that they might get a nice officer that will make the process easier or might get someone related to the devil. She was screaming at me throughout the interview, even at one point paused the interview to flirt with a colleague and to check her phone. I left the building in tears wondering if it was something I did. Just saying be ready to potentially get an awful human being interviewing you.

My interview took more time, I will say 20 min or so. The officer asked me more questions. And she wasn't smiling me like this man, she was nice but very serious.
Here in Norway, we do not have such interviews. So long as you do not have a criminal records and you pass the norwegian language exam then you are qualified.
That's how it should be. I support the language exam policy because if you're going to have a country, you must be united on at least some things. Being able to communicate with each other is MUST. Common language is so important to not lose, or it will cause so many problems and misunderstandings and eventually cultural divide.
I would like to move another country in the future if i can, although i don't have any education degree or any High school pass out certificate but I'm just self educated that's it
For the German citizenship I got everything per email, I signed it and went and actually saw a real person only for taking the citizenship document LOL. They make the American one so hard

This bring me back memories, back in the early 90's a friend from Guatemala had a citizenship interview , so we practiced over , and over for many weeks , the day came when the immigration officer asked him what color was the white house , he replied blue , pretty laughable isn't it.
This has to be change man. This is so dumb. Answering questions from the history of a country doesn’t make you a citizen people come on!! And then you see all the people who were born here avoiding taxes, criminals, they kill their own people but they still citizens. But if you have the kindest heart and soul and don’t answer correctly a question you could be denied the citizenship. So dumb
Aram Sargyan clearly learning the history is not an issue. The point is by learning a history of a country makes you a citizen that is something not updated. The new generation likes to learn which is not a doubt but they are not driven by the past they live today and they want big changes on the country. The new generation is the one that is coming out to the streets to demand justice and stop discrimination. The old generation is stuck on the old school and afraid to go out and stand for others. Citizen is the one who contributes to the whole community and do good not for their own interest.

I was interviewed in New York and the woman interviewing me was extremely rude and disrespectful. Super far from what is shown in the video here. I think people should be prepared that they might get a nice officer that will make the process easier or might get someone related to the devil. She was screaming at me throughout the interview, even at one point paused the interview to flirt with a colleague and to check her phone. I left the building in tears wondering if it was something I did. Just saying be ready to potentially get an awful human being interviewing you.

Actually, this isn't that bad. I get a lot of anxiety when comes to socialize. When I get asked questions and stuff.
Here in Norway, we do not have such interviews. So long as you do not have a criminal records and you pass the norwegian language exam then you are qualified.
That's how it should be. I support the language exam policy because if you're going to have a country, you must be united on at least some things. Being able to communicate with each other is MUST. Common language is so important to not lose, or it will cause so many problems and misunderstandings and eventually cultural divide.

This bring me back memories, back in the early 90's a friend from Guatemala had a citizenship interview , so we practiced over , and over for many weeks , the day came when the immigration officer asked him what color was the white house , he replied blue , pretty laughable isn't it.

This has to be change man. This is so dumb. Answering questions from the history of a country doesn’t make you a citizen people come on!! And then you see all the people who were born here avoiding taxes, criminals, they kill their own people but they still citizens. But if you have the kindest heart and soul and don’t answer correctly a question you could be denied the citizenship. So dumb

Aram Sargyan clearly learning the history is not an issue. The point is by learning a history of a country makes you a citizen that is something not updated. The new generation likes to learn which is not a doubt but they are not driven by the past they live today and they want big changes on the country. The new generation is the one that is coming out to the streets to demand justice and stop discrimination. The old generation is stuck on the old school and afraid to go out and stand for others.
Citizen is the one who contributes to the whole community and do good not for their own interest.
I want to live in US ,because it is my dream country .if I get an opportunity then definitly I visit in US
