I have an off topic question. Have you ever replaced the oil pan gasket (really just sealant) on a 2007 Tacoma 2WD 2.7 while the engine is in the truck? Is it possible without removing the engine?
@@alltsab Yes, it's a sealant. I cleaned the engine and noticed wet between the block and pan, not near the front but on the passenger side. At first I thought it was the oil filter bracket but it's dry up there.
Good tips n good mechanic
Thanks

Toyota have no gasket just sealant gasket maker. Normally Toyota doesn't leak oil if your leak make sure to check front main seal.
I think you can do without taking engine out. If you need more space just unbolts engine mount bolts and jack up should be ok
