When I contacted GM advertisement rep and asked them if Pontiac was coming back, they simply said, "No comment."

A 2door EV roadster might put some life back into the EV market. If they did a 2door EV Fiero and it worked then maybe GM could also resurrect the Corvair on the same design

I think it's true. Why would Car and Driver waste money on a fake ad? It makes no sense financially. As the owner of three fourth gen Firebirds, I can't wait to see a new Firebird.

I think there will be an ev in the lineup. But if GM wants Pontiac t9 be the fun brand it always has been, I don't think the main car they will start with will be an EV
@@metalheadcarshow With the Camaro being phased out it would be interesting to see a firebird/ta. The phoenix logo would be very fitting.
As an older guy as you know, I'd luv to see Pontiac come back...my first car was a 1880 Grand Prix, black with red pin stripes, firey chicken rims, buzz moon roof and red velour interior. Not fast at all but smooth ride. Gr8 work btw 👍

No retro Firebird, please. Just give us modern, sleek, aggressive designs with no sister platforms. You want younger crowds to buy these cars, you gotta stop with the retro designs.

if there is one cark, that pontiac should bring back, its the Solstice. it was part-sharing with the Opel GT/Saturn Sky, seeing a 3rd generation of the Opel GT (even though they will only release it as the Solstice as Saturn doesnt exist and Opel isnt a GM-brand anymore) would be fire!
that poor Camaro, I love Camaros, even a bit more that I do Mustangs. GM has to find a way to make the Camaro cool again, because you said it in the video, "the Camaro didnt stop selling because it sucked, it stopped selling because the facelift was ugly".
how would I bring back Pontiac? not at all, I would have done everything to try to keep it alive. in this situation, I would have done it similarly how you suggested in the video, I would have given the Camaro another facelift and called it the Firebird, give it a V6 base-model and the big model gets the V8 and that wouldnt just be an normal Firebird, it would be the Firebird Trans Am. I would make an E-Aztec, that would be very similar to the Mustang Mach-E, I would aim to design the front so that it isnt as over the top as the original. For the part-sharer with the MR2 would be the Solstice, for the GTO I would make another generation of what would be a Holden Commodore, the Commodore was basically a Corvette-sedan, it was sold in america as the Chevy SS, it had the all mighty LS in it. obviously, I would also make it 4-door.
bringing back Pontiac would probably be a dumb move, because in our current climate, everyone sort of forgot about Pontiac. my theory on the ad is, that it was an employee from the magazine, who is a big fan of Pontiac and wants a new Pontiac-car going rouge. not only is that person probably already fired, but that ad achieved what it was supposed to do, to make people talk about Pontiac and maybe one day, we will see Pontiac again.
I actually really like your idea with the Solstice. I like it way more than my own idea for the Fiero.
I would also go Holden, but they shut down. And I'm not 100% it would be dumb. As much as many people are trying to go to EV's. There's a lot of people who bought them and seam to regret it. And Chevy is missing out on a couple markets.
