    Favorite car: 63, Chrysler 300J, with Cross Ram Induction.... It's about the artistry of what's under the hood and the rarity as only 400 were produced (btw, these were the original muscle cars going back to 1954) a 300 J was the fastest production car in 63 topping out at 142 mph, for a 4000 pound car. Favorite Color: for a car clear coat silver.... For a color in general light blue, like a the shade of a pale blue eyes.

      Thanks for commenting. Most of the so called barn finds that were open to being viewed are pre 1950. I didn't include them as they just didn't interest me. If there would have been 60s and 70s cars available to view, I would have filmed them.

    You may not be able to (or have it built) for that. any car guy knows that. That being said, you can buy comparable cars for way, way less money -just look . The automotive world is way smaller than you think. At these prices, you would be very fortunate to ever realize any substantial value appreciation.

      I think it’s peaked out also. Just everyday living is crazy now. Even wealthy people are going to have to tighten up a little the taxes are coming.
      I suppose collecting cars would have been a good investment at one time but prices have gone bat shit crazy, even for new vehicles.

    well I suppose if you had money to burn, literally, this would be a paradise but let's be real here for a second of two, now you don't need to be 'in the business' to see that those asking prices on some of those are WAY, WAY TO HIGH, overpriced is an understatement, OUTRAGEOUS is about right
    may as well go out and by a Challenger REDEYE with all the bells and whistles and save 50 grand in the process with some of these -- and it'd outrun the majority if NOT ALL of them anyway, EVEN if you're a collector with millions to spend, those prices are just way off the charts to be reasonable, I don't see how one gets away with posting those amounts but, ok then...

    You can't trust the mileage on any car sold in PA. and many other states like AR, and GA., (cars 10 years and older are mileage exempt due to odometer mechanical limits). Yeah, dealers will throw that up in your face and stand behind that ancient law all day long. Considering most everything is computerized these days some dealers/sellers can get salvage titles washed clean; take a "Flood" branded title to NM, it never floods there. Why all the states can't get together and make universal title laws is beyond me.

    • @Driven2Compete
      @Driven2Compete  2 года назад +1

      I'm going to agree to disagree with you on this one. PA is one of the harder States to fake or adjust a title in. Not to mention, the inspections here are more in depth than down south and other parts of the country. I rely on car faxes, vehicle records, vehicle history, and a complete inspection of the vehicle prior to purchase. I've never had an issue following those steps.

    • @garthlocklin6355

      @@Driven2Compete Ah, I guess things have changed since I moved away from NJ in '97. The other thing that gets me about classic cars is they are only original once. I understand setting the odometer back to zero if the car is fully restored but so many "cool cars" like a 60's Vette convertible or Camaro/Firebird are advertised on eBay as 55K original miles (odometer exempt in the fine print). There is a dealer in Clearwater FL that sells classics and when I visited I went out back and there was the mechanic with the Speedo out and he was adjusting the numbers on an old 60's Corvette. I have driven a few at various auctions when I was a detailer and although they are beautiful looking cars, you could tell half of them had serious problems with alignment and such as I drove them across the arena floor at 5 mph. I agree, a complete inspection by a legitimate mechanic or knowledgeable person is extremely important since there is so much fraud out there and shysters selling dream cars that are junk with new paint.

    • @Driven2Compete
      @Driven2Compete  2 года назад +1

      I don't agree with turning back an odometer no matter what the reason. I have a 67 Firebird HO Convertible that I've talked about in other videos on my channel. That car was bought in 1984 with 68k original and I walked it through Penndot to make sure the actual mileage was listed on the title. It now has 89k on it and I can vouch for that being the original mileage. Not all cars are TMU, but it is getting harder to find them at a reasonable price.

    Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green peoples party and Greta FFF Inc. gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated peoples gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil smoke and CO2 generating cars any longer...

      That’s the case with vintage musical instruments but prices for them have been flat for about five years now. The collectors have attempted to push up prices but buyers aren’t supporting it the same trend will happen to cars also.
      The instruments are not generally bought/sold for their original purpose have become status symbols stored in glass cases for the most part.
      The pro musicians that have them will at least perform with them.
