- Will Valleyfair's next roller coaster be in 2024 or 2025? Find out in this video whether or not I think the park will add a new roller coaster or ride, and what to expect in the near future for this Cedar Fair amusement park. Valleyfair's future has been uncertain after not receiving a new roller coaster in over 2 decades, so with the new Six Flags-Cedar Fair merging, I'll look into the park. From promising to reach options, I'll weigh all possible future investments for Valleyfair. Thanks for watching!

What roller coaster model would you like to see added to Valleyfair?
An RMC Giga But In Reality I Think They Could Get A B&M Invert Or Dive
A compact B&M wing coaster, similar to X-Flight at Six Flags Great America, or an RMC Raptor would be the perfect fit for that land where Dinosaurs Alive used to sit. A Gerstlauer Euro Fighter would also work, but Minnesota already has one not too far away at Nickelodeon Universe, so they would have to build something bigger like an Infinity Coaster, or something unique like a Zierrer Tower Launch Coaster, similar to Wicked at Lagoon.
B&M minis just aren't as fun as a full. So on pure hope and trying to be realistic in space and budget the RMC Raptor would be great. Still a newish and unique coaster style and cheaper than most. Capable of putting a lot of elements in a smaller space. Slight but unlikely possibility of a custom too since the prefabs and base models are relatively cheap.
Also one of those Sansei free spins would fit in the space. Decent capacity and I hear they aren't too expensive.

Awesome to see VF getting some RUclips love. I worked in games WAY back in the day (like 2000) and even then we were like “why dont we have a mega baddass coaster”? Wild thing was supposed to be, but Renegade is 100x better, and its wood! Time for a world class screamer!!
A major steel coaster would be awesome for the park! That would increase attendance without a doubt
I used to go to valley fair every year as a teen. Wild thing was fun the first few times but after awhile it wasn’t very exciting anymore. The drop is the only good thing about it and the line is always so long. But renegade I’ve never gotten tired of it, every time was always such a rush! I also really liked that red, white, and blue hammer swing thing whatever it’s called.
As a past employee there and go there all the time. I would like something one the intense side to be added. Though Finding a spot will be hard i think. What a lot of people don't know is the park has a lot of wetland around it. That employ parking lot is known to get flooded. The only spot i can see a coaster going is what is now storage / haunted house space. Right next to High Roller. I Honestly would like a RMC the most my self After getting to ride Twister Timbers. But i would want just 1 thing to be done no matter what. FIX TILTER!!!!!
That’s so cool! Yeah an RMC would fit perfectly at the park, a Raptor would be my obvious choice but I’ll take anything even a Wild Moose
There's space where the old fashion cars used to be. Nothing is there at the moment. Stretch it out into the parking lot if need be. I've never seen that parking lot at capacity.
excellent video my friend💯 all really good ideas! It kind of exciting because there are so many options for this park! It's either a dive, invert, or wing is what i see, and I'll be happy with any of those!
Thanks bro! I think a B&M is very likely and I’d love to see it here, it’s literally the perfect option for Valleyfair in my opinion
Doubt they would add a Gerstlauer since there is one at Mall of America. I think they could improve their current coasters. Extend Wild Thing's break run so it can run without the trims. That would turn it into one of the best hypers. RMC High Roller and/or Excalibur. A small Vekoma with airtime and maybe inversions would also work well.
Wow I didn’t even think of RMC High Roller but that actually sounds really cool in hindsight
The return trip on WT is boring. Nothing will fix that. I suppose if they turned off the breaks you'd hit the humps much faster but I don't think that would help much. They recently neutered HR big time. I don't think they are looking to make it more thrilling. Excalibur kills my ribs. Making it smoother would be nice but it's still just an okay ride.
@@joeskis I have been on WT without the breaks. It is fantastic.
VF is my home park. I don't want to see a dive coaster. I've been on 4 different ones and they are nearly all the same. They are fine but not great. My number 1 choice, that's reasonable, is an ArieForce clone but with a longer layout. Or a ride similar to Fahrenheit. Would CF pack up Rougaru and ship it to VF? I would be fine with that if they did some modes to smooth it out. Now to go crazy with fantasy land... it would be great to be the only park to have a clone to Velocicoaster. Would VF invest in a ride that makes it a destination park rather than "if you're in the area" park?
Gerstlauer is a no go. Mall of America close by has one, it wouldn't be anything new to the people in the area & thus have a muted ROI. Overall , VF finances don't warrant an expensive coaster, 12M -14M range max. Dorney only got a mini Dive, cost around 11-12M & they produce more revenue & EBIDTA than VF.
That makes a lot of sense! I would easily take a mini dive, always a great model/ride and they’re a lot of fun with high capacity
I'm fine with hand me downs. Few like Rougaru at CF. Ship that over to VF. Smooth it out a little and it'll be a nice regional ride for us.
A Vekoma STC could be a great fit for this park
That would be great! Especially one of their family coasters would be a perfect fit because I can see it being a popular addition
I don’t know what Cedar Fair is ultimately going to do, but the smartest decision would be to get a new age Vekoma and here’s why.
1. The Bermuda Blitz Models and The Wild Cat have both been confirmed to be $13 million, and these models were meant to be replicated.
Plus, these coasters are pretty. Look up Lech Coaster (Bermuda Blitz) and Fonix (Wild Cat). Those are some good looking coasters and they’d make Valleyfair’s skyline pop.
2. They’re reliable. Vekoma new age coasters are about on par with B&M in terms of reliability. That’s important.
3. They don’t have anything like it in North America. Period. Nearly every new age Vekoma is in Europe and Asia. Having a new age Vekoma as the marquee attraction would put Valleyfair on the map and draw in people from all over. I can’t think of another >$15 million coaster that would do that, except maybe an RMC Raptor, but they don’t have as nearly as good of capacity.
Now, I don’t know if a Bermuda Blitz or a Wild Cat would fit on that plot of land they’re proposing, but they could easily do a Vekoma STC. They’re not as intense as B&M inverts, but they’re fun rides for a fraction of the cost.
A Vekoma STC would be a great fit for the park.
okay I did look up BB and WC and I don't know. Those look like coasters for a small new park like Lost Island. I want something bigger, longer, more intense. Those don't have enough elements and the pacing isn't right.
those new vekomas would be amazing in the parks lineup, though I do kinda sway to a launch rather than lifthill since the park only has steel venom which MAY or may not be on the chopping block soon since it's unreliable, plus there's not really an actual launch coaster anywhere close. The closest is 3h away if you want to go to lost island. If anything though I just hope we get something, we're on 6 years without any new rides or really anything for that matter!
Totally agree! Plus Steel Venom is a maintenance nightmare as it’s costly to keep around and requires a lot of work, but I’d love to see it stick around of course
@@AirtimeProductions its also expensive to run, from what I know, it's the second most power-hungry ride in the park only behind xtreme swing, one launch costs the park like 50-60 dollars each? in power (don't quote me on that)
@@AirtimeProductions yep. from what I'm hearing from VF maintenance, one launch costs around $60 US (don't quote me on that) and most if not all of that stems from electrical costs. Also, the ride just got a 2.5M upgrade to it's control system, and other various parts of the ride in 2022, which is why the launch sounds different than in years prior. Some of the parts came from WT. It had more downtime in 2022 because it was poorly programmed, and had to work with the 20 year old gate system. Valleyfair had to reprogram it for the 2023 season, and it was more reliable from then on. I'm expecting it's got at least a decade or so left in it.
I feel like we should put Michigan's Adventure as our first priority. They literally havent gotten a ground up roller coaster in almost 40 years!
Definitely! I’ll have to visit that park sometime soon as well
Actually, it’s been 25 years for Michigan’s Adventure. Another thing is that Michigan’s Adventure is in a very remote area, making it harder to draw in guests. The return on investment would be higher at Valleyfair, which has a large metro area to support it.
@@masontheis4489 fair. I did get my info wrong so sorry for that. But for us Michiganders it sucks to have the laughingstock of the cedar fair chain as our only park
They will probably get a B&M, not sure which model, but hopefully a flyer, you get inversions and intensity, maybe something between a mid flyer like the superman clones and an s tier roller coaster that is like manta, theyd benefit from that
A B&M would literally be perfect at this park! I’m kind of surprised that Dorney Park is getting one before Valleyfair
hehe silly city
Well with rain every other day now and probably all summer long their attendance will be way down. Get your raincoats on ☹️
I heard section 5 flooded recently 😬
@@AirtimeProductions lots of roads closed due to flooding, fields r flooded, I just want it to stop 🛑 raining 🌧️ 😒
I am sure they go with the Vekoma STC in the dinos plot of land, and do predict the name "Iron Dragon" named after Cedar Point's suspended coaster.
That sounds cool! An addition worth seeing at the park for sure, thanks for the great suggestion
I’ll take anything at this point :-(
Me too! Really hoping for the park to get something new sometime
Now that ValleyScare is back and it's been announced they will be doubling the amount of haunted mazes and scare areas I'm pretty sure that's the reason dinos pavilion and surrounding plot was torn down.
I feel the best we can hope for in the next few years is a renegade re-track and a new flat where the viking ship used to be.
They're never getting a new coaster as long as CF/Six F owns them 😩
I heard! That’ll definitely be a fun and cool event, but that would be sad to hear if they didn’t add anything
@@AirtimeProductions It was always a mistake taking away ValleyScare. We love spooky time up here so it's a big draw for season passes and late season revenue. But the moment I saw it was going to be expanded I knew it would be at the expense of any money that could be going towards a new coaster. CF has made money on VF almost every year since Renegade. In fact they have taken away more than they have put in the last 17 years and still make a profit. Since it's all about business and any care shown for customers or enthusiasts is at best a marketing gimmick they have no incentive to invest the $15-25 mil it would take to put in a legit thrill coaster.
I never give up 100% on hope but I'm pretty close on this one. There is just no sign that they'll ever invest.
Renegade is fine the way it is. I've been on rough rides. I know rides that hurt. Renegade isn't one of them. The rattling works perfect for this ride. You just have to learn how to lean and adjust your body with the ride.
Chance hyper gtx
Oh yes, that would be epic!
@AirtimeProductions yep and for the limited space it would fit
I do hope the company pays attention to this idea.. valleyfair is my nearest park and been going since i was 5.
That year the corkscrew was unveiled. Ha seen the park through many changes. Miss the enterprise dearly
@@billchief397 Hopefully we see that again, Minneapolis is a big city so I’m surprised they aren’t adding/marketing new rides
@AirtimeProductions ditto, cedar fair is becoming good pals with zamperla so hopefully an endeavor or some other thrill flats they make
Bro thinks valleyfair knows what money is.
😂
