Looks beautiful, reminds us of the waterfalls in the Neath valley in Wales. As a big fan of "Flight of the Conchords', we would love to visit NZ, but not fancying that flight.
Great video! Stairs suck but imagine how hard that would have been if there were no stairs. Going to have to put this place on my list of things to do in NZ next time we go there.
I think I've only seen places like this in a movie. Would love to visit a place like this one day. That waterfall was beautiful. Looks like you hike a long way up. Seems worth it for sure.
That looks like an excellent hike. I always like a hike with a waterfall or something at the end as sort of a reward. Good thing you had camera zoom. That is a lot of steps to the top.
It looks so beautiful, and so green! I miss traveling in New Zealand. I grew up there and want to go back and travel more. Oh, steps always get me, I find they're always so steep in places like these.
Awesome views of various nature. It is always nice to have zoom lenses with you. Hiking in the mud can be interesting and challenging. What an amazing view from the top. Never been in New Zealand before but it is very very high on my travel bucket list.
I was just talking to a friend about going to New Zealand. Good tip on not wearing nice shoes. They'd be ruined for sure. The view from the top looks incredible!
Thank you....I was born in the North Island, and didn't know these falls existed. Have to do this hike now:) So thanks for the heads up. And btw this video is spectacular.....
New Zealand never ceases to amaze me, irrespective of how many times I've been there. What an amazing documentation of the trail! Great videography!
New Zealand keeps surprising me too :)
the trail looks pretty nice. i like the frame by frame look you did. the waterfall is awesome!

Yeah, that flight is painful. I wish NZ was closer to other countries.
Beautiful views :) must be so relaxing. Some interesting shots, love the snapshots up the stairs! Yas

If there were no stairs, I think it would be a giant water/mud slide, haha. Might be fun.

Think I've become picky with waterfalls, haha. It rains so much, they are everywhere!
Travelling K I cant imagen getting tired of waterfalls. Haha

The mud was the perfect conversation starter, haha.

Great video. You got some really good shots. Didn't know there was anything like this near Matamata.
Thank you! I only recently learnt about it.
I really enjoyed the composition and beautiful footage!! :-)
lol was my home town..Grow up there. Never went to see the falls. Thank you for sharing.
Oh really! haha, it's a decent up hill walk, but worth it :)

It is a hard hike up to the top; not to be underestimated. I lost the sole of one boot, slipping on the rocks and that made the going extra tough!
I know! Steeper than I expected, but beautiful. Loosing a sole would make it challenging. But still think it’s my favourite north island waterfall

Thank you! I didn't realise they existed either until I was staying down the road from them. Love finding new and beautiful spots :)

Luckily I stuck to the right path this time and didn't accidentally go on the 7 hour hike!
