The view is not of the Bay of Plenty (which is the other side of the hills) but of the Waikato. The flat plains were once a huge river valley.

Kia ora guys hope all is well, sorry mado no findicu Lars or cable carts here I'm afraid this is not 🇨🇭😂🤣:) you walk in you walk out or you can run it, totally up to you my friend...hehe:) there are actually heaps of old maori but unmaintained tracks in and around wairere, but you'll walk right pass them if you didn't know they were there, hunters would usually use these tracks mainly out of common courtesy for the public as it keeps them hidden and off the main publically used Track, after all they are brandishing rifles, knieves and if any luck a dead pig...lol:), enjoyed your video guys, till next time stay safe keep well and be happy, much love auckland❤ PS...yes nz roads can be very intimidating and like our women they are very curvy and bendy...😂😅:) iv been a linehaul truck driver for many years and iv seen it all believe you me as sad as it is its not the roads that are killing people😢, and thanks glen for mentioning that you must keep to the speed limit and drive to the conditions, remember nz is all about the journey...safe travels everyone🤙

NZ is still a great place to live if you live so far off the beaten track that you dont have to deal with numpties, ram raiders, shoplifters, immigrants ( no offense intended) traffic and culture. Thankfully I have such a place.
