After watching ESL, I was initially sad that I'd have to rewatch this series. Then, honestly.. I was extremely glad I did. Winter, you're the best damn caster, period. And the energy and knowledge you bring is unmatched.
I think the frustrating thing about PvT right now is it feels entirely in the hands of whether the Terran messes up. If both play perfectly, it feels inevitable that Terran wins, and these two are so close to perfect that I just get sad because it feels like MaxPax is just as good but loses most series against Clem
Serral not being here really opened up the bracket for this epic finally. Not saying im happy hes gone but damn is it refreshing. Clem being the next titan to topple is gonna be a sight to behold.
Both played well. It was a great set. But my biggest complaint about TvP is how all or nothing some fights are. T pushes in, Phoenixes hold the Vikings, T dies to Collossus. P has stalkers out just a hair too long, loses half his army for free, T's push is impossible to hold.
Inside Europe, only Serral can shutdown Clem, and even so it's about 60-40 between these 2 madlads. With Serral gone, Clem is like a kid in a candy shop. (he might be eating too much candies and got high on sugar cuz that was way too close)
Serral's return is going to be insane, he's gonna be a fucking mega chad irl and in-game with the mindset of a warrior. Nobody's taking his spot any time soon

Clem looks dominant in the European scene yes, but that doesn’t automatically make him the world best In recent non-EU tournament matches, he lost to Firefly, Nightmare, Oliveira, who we know are not even top tier atm

MaxPax's hidden identity trips me out. I feel like I'm watching Magnus Carlson (world chess champ) vs Hans Neimann (proven cheater) when I watch MaxPax. But then again I assume Blizzard vets these people as being [not Life] and [not abusing AI]. After watching AlphaStar rival Grandmasters half a decade ago, you have to wonder, right?
I might be wrong, as im dia 3 player only, but the way i see it, if you dont have for the first big Terran push splash or mass chargelots, you are dead. MaxPax went for Oracle then into blink, both great harrass units, but units that dont really fight well. Going for both those harrass option means his other tech, like splash dmg or chargelots was delayed so he just died. I would guess he hoped to delay Clem longer with the harrass, but it didnt work. Prolly against other terrans it works.... Im Protoss and i wont lie, it feels to me often as if Terran can absorb both workers and army losses much better then Protoss and have insane economy on 2 bases. Protoss must do everything much more perfect, preserve each unit, scout exactly what T is doing and then maybe they got a chance.

He needs to either do enough damage to either delay or weaken a push which he failed to do or have enough splash/meatshields to eliminate the bio or make it to painful/risky to engage which he also didn't have enough of so he didn't make a mistake so much as clem didn't make one against the harassment.

wdym? Max expanded to 3 bases and was creating workers, while Clem invested in production stayed on 2 bases and just pumped marines.
