@@DIGITALRC it is not large if it is smaller than the original. The Japanese F16 Derivate is large. Super Hornet is large. Downscaling = small . EDFs are used on man rated planes. You can also by a 1:4 bypass two spool model jet engine to huge for all existing models but the single engine fighters .
There seem to be some really huge RC Helis but only a few turboprops? Would be nice to use a popular single spool jet, mate it to a heli working turbine and drive a fan. I learned that EDF fans are pushers. They blast out in a ring and truncate the aerospike behind the e-Motor / gearbox. Piaggi has pushers behind jet exhaust. Not recommend for carbon blades..
