그리스 산토리니 자유여행 3일째. 오늘은 이아 마을을 떠나 산토리니 섬 남부 지역으로 자동차 여행을 시작합니다.
이아 마을 남단에 위치한 파나기아 교회는 넓은 광장을 가지고 마을 입구와 끝에 위치해 있다.
이아마을은 관광객이 가장 많이 모이는 곳이라 각종 편의시설이 다 갖춰져 있다.
산토리니 섬 주변 여행을 시작하는 여행자들은 이곳에서 오토바이, 사륜차, 렌터카, 자전거를 대여한다.
산토리니 섬의 남쪽은 이아 마을이 있는 북쪽에 비해 지형이 낮고 평지가 넓어 다양한 해변과 관광 명소가 있다.
남쪽으로 내려가면 오른쪽 하단에 있는 카마리 해변은 검은 돌 해변과 해안 풍경으로 유명하다.
산토리니 섬은 규모가 크지 않아 관광지를 제외하면 중심부의 약간 높은 곳에 주민들이 거주하는 주택이 많다.
산토리니 섬의 중앙 부분은 높지 않지만, 위에서 보면 해안선과 와이너리가 잘 어우러져 산토리니만의 독특한 풍경을 만들어낸다.
고지대에 위치한 작은 마을에는 아기자기한 작은 교회와 흰 벽, 파란 지붕이 돋보이는 전통 가옥이 마치 지중해 같은 마을 풍경을 보여준다.
산토리니 섬은 크지는 않지만, 섬 전체를 둘러보고 즐기기에는 걷기가 힘들다. 따라서 자동차나 4륜 오토바이를 이용해 이동해야 한다.
산토리니는 그리스 본토에서 200㎞ 떨어진 곳에 위치한 인구 1만5000명, 면적 약 9만㎡의 작은 섬이다.
산토리니 어디에서나 볼 수 있는 푸른 에게해에는 역사와 낭만이 가득한 화산섬이 곳곳에 자리잡고 있다.
꿈같은 낭만을 그려볼 수 있는 그림 같은 풍경이다.
화산섬의 영양이 풍부한 토양과 따뜻한 지중해 햇살이 어우러져 고품질의 와인이 생산된다.
섬 북단의 이아 마을에서 남단까지 차로 2~3시간이 소요되지만, 다양한 해변과 유적지를 방문한다면 하루 종일 걸린다.
산토리니 공항과 가까운 섬의 왼편 중앙 절벽에 위치한 피라 마을은 산토리니의 행정 중심지이자 섬 교통의 중심지이다.
대중교통은 공항에서 버스를 타고 피라마을까지 왔다가 이아마을이나 남부행 버스로 환승하여야 한다.
버스요금은 공항에서 피라 마을, 피라마을 에서 이아마을이 각각 편도 2유로이다.
Red beach, Black beach(Kamira beach), Caldela, Imerovigli, Kardia 등 남부를 거쳐 Fira 마을을 자동차로 돌면서 자유여행을 통해 지중해 햇살과 시원한 바닷바람을 맘껏 누렸다.
해가 지면서 우리는 이아(Oia) 마을로 돌아왔습니다.
산토리니는 내 인생에서 결코 잊지 못할 가장 아름다운 일몰을 남겨주었습니다.
내일은 '퇴직 후 세계 일주'를 이어가기 위해 다시 프랑스로 떠납니다.
아마도 이곳에서 본 일몰은 세계일주 여행 중 내 인생 최고의 추억으로 남을지 조심스레 기대해본다.
"내일은 또 내일의 해가 다시 떠오를지니!"
Day 3 of independent travel to Santorini, Greece. Today, we leave Oia village and start traveling to the southern part of Santorini Island by car.
Panagia Church, located at the southern end of Oia Village, is located at the entrance and end of the village with a large square.
Oia Village is the most crowded place with tourists, so all the convenience facilities are available here.
Travelers who start a trip around Santorini Island rent motorcycles, four-wheelers, rental cars, or bicycles here.
The southern part of Santorini Island has lower terrain and wider flat land than the northern part, where Oia Village is located, and has a variety of beaches and tourist attractions.
Going south, Kamari Beach in the lower right corner is famous for its black stone beach and coastal scenery.
Santorini Island is not large, so other than the tourist areas, there are many houses where residents live in slightly elevated areas in the central area.
Although the central part of Santorini Island is not high, when viewed from above, the coastline and wineries come together well to create the unique scenery of Santorini.
In a small village located in the highlands, a charming small church and traditional houses with white walls and blue roofs show a Mediterranean-like village scene.
Santorini Island is not big, but it is difficult to walk to explore the entire island and enjoy it. Therefore, it is necessary to travel by car or four-wheeled motorcycle.
Santorini is a small island with about 15,000 residents and an area of about 90,000 square meters, located 200km away from mainland Greece.
The blue Aegean Sea, which can be seen everywhere in Santorini, is dotted with volcanic islands full of history and romance. It is a picturesque landscape where you can picture a dream-like romance.
The volcanic island's nutrient-rich soil, combined with the warm Mediterranean sunlight, produces high-quality wine.
It is a 2-3 hour drive from Oia Village at the northern end of the island to the southern end of the island, but if you visit the various beaches and historical sites, it will take a full day.
Fira Village, located on a cliff on the left center of the island close to Santorini Airport, is the administrative center of Santorini and the center of island transportation.
You can take a bus from the airport, come to Fira Village, and then change to a bus heading to Oia Village or the South.
As the sun set, we returned to Oia village.
Santorini left me with the most beautiful sunset in my life that I will never forget.
Tomorrow, I leave for France again to continue this 'round-the-world trip after retirement.'
I cautiously anticipate that the sunset here will probably remain as the best memory of my life during my trip around the world.
