Although the Piuma shares some components with the 580, but there are a lot of differences. You can regard it as a true 700 - a great first 'big' heli.
@@700sizehelisaretoosmall The Piuma is designed to use lighter components - lighter motor, smaller ESC. My preference is for the 12S set up. It will do all manoeuvres and at a 1950 head speed will not disappoint. It can be as responsive as you want to set it. However if you just want pure power, you are not going to match a Raw 700 running a 4530 motor. If you are still learning different orientations and want more flight time, then the Piuma is ideal. If you are going for a super high headspeed (2200+) and are hammering the sticks, then you should consider the Raw 700.
The Piuma is under 5kgs and could probably lift at least twice its own weight and be controllable. Much more and it would have a greatly reduced control authority and performance. It's designed to be light and agile, not a heavy lift machine. :)
Hi Alberto. No, it is a 20T motor pinion. The size depends on the KV of the motor you are using. Ideally you want it geared for no more than 2000rpm. Hope that helps.
I don't understand something about RC helicopters especially very expensive ones they don't look like real helicopters they don't fly like real helicopters if you just want to have fun and enjoy far more features and a flying RC go drone. even better get on a nice PC simulator and get a feel what it's like to fly a real helicopter
well, you can go for scale RC helicopters, if you prefer that. you can add as much detail as you wish. go for turboshaft engine, etc. there is no limit to what you can do. no reason to do 3D heli, if you don't want to do it.
If you think that highly of this model then you need to try the Diabolo 700ul. The Diabolo makes sab look like a pile of sh..... Have you experienced what I call Sab rawsonance?
Nice flying my friend.
Love it - thanks Dave - good to meet you at Helifest btw.
I learned to fly with flying fish in the late 90s. You haven’t changed much mate!
Awesome channel, I have the Piuma as well.. great machine !! Thanks for the great content and nice flying.
Very nice looks great thanks for the video
Great video, good to see you uploading again!
Very nice video of a great model. Great flight also.
Didn't know you had a RUclips channel Dave! Subscribed! Chris G
Thank you so much I appreciate it
I'm definitely getting this heli. 🙂
Is this the beginners first big Heli here? Seems like a stretch 580? Or a full grade 700?

@@flyinfishrcguides1393 so better to directly get it and jump the 580 after learning basics on420/450?
Or 580 before that
@@flyinfishrcguides1393 is it rather docile or nasty for a 700? Because everyone tells about the retarded power of a 700 🤩
Good first big Heli?

Nice!
How many kilograms of weight can this propeller take?

Have you been in the 1100-1500 HS range with it?
Hi. No, I must admit I haven't been that lower than 1600 with it.
what size motor pinion are you using ? is it a 19t ?

drones are pretty much boring compsred to a pod n boom heli.
