Such a simple song but so beautiful. That Paul McCartney can really write a song.
He should get together with some friends and form a band or something ;)
@@flux1968uhhh he already did that... 🙄 it’s called Wings
I love that you put the chords on the screen as your teaching, super helpful!! 👌
I was 11 when this was in the charts and learning “she’ll be coming around the mountain when she comes” from a guitar book in school guitar lessons. I didn’t keep it up for long as I saw no connection between what I was learning and pop music. I never understood why they didn’t teach us this. It would have been perfect! Another example of not tailoring the tuition to the student! Thankfully today we can learn a wide variety from wonderful tutors like you Justin. Thank you!
Oh city ground
The mist rolling in from the Trent
My desire
Is always to be here
Oh city ground
YOU REDS !
I have been waiting for you to cover this song for so long! Beautifully sung. Thank you Justin, for bringing music into my life and teaching me to play the guitar. I began my guitar journey 3 years ago, age 34. you have been with me every step of the way 😊
Thank you. You can request a song or vote for an existing request on this page: www.justinguitar.com/songs Cheers 😊

The one lesson that helped my guitar playing make a hudge leap by starting to sing along; Merry Christmas dear Justin !
Thought that was Paul singing at first, you sound loads like him!
I've been trying to transpose some of your lessons for my CBG tuned to G. What I can't transpose, I get my teacher to do it. I'm over 70 now and started playing guitar 3 years ago, and it's for the most part, great, I have to compensate for wrist and fingers being a little stiffer , but I have fun using mostly one finger barre chords. Thanks.
Merci M Justin..toujours au point .c’est super de vous suivre musicalement parlant .vous êtes parfait
This is a really great song to help you transition smoothly between chords because of that open bass note. Add in those (only) downstrokes and this is an excellent beginner song.
Too right. Thank you. Cheers 😊

Wow... thank you, thank you, thank you.
You made this so accessable to me as a beginner, the chords on display as you talked/ sang through them.
So very much appreciated..😊💛🥰🌻.
Justin don't know if you were back in Oz ( I was in NZ) when this came out around '79 or so, it was number 1 on the charts for ages and ages, great heart warming song
As always, another great lesson.
Start out easy, then dress it up to make it shine.
Thank you for sharing Justin.
From Charlie.
Being a Nottingham forest fan as well as a beginner on the guitar i have found this lesson absolutely brilliant! Thanks Justin.
So beautiful song beautiful voice great lesson thank you Justin 😍💯👌👌
I play this on my 12 string. Sounds amazing.
Have saved this for my daughter to learn, nice song. 👍💪
Awesome! Have fun playing it together :) Happy Holidays!

Wonderful! Thank you, Justin!
I got all confused signing up. Two different paths. So now I’m signed up with lessons AND songs. Guess I better go practice. It’s been 25 years since I picked up my lovely 71 Martin 0018. Fingers crossed 🤞.

Great lesson Justin, and nicely sung....and I prefer your lyrics to the original version.
Thanku , great tutorial , really helpful
great job Justin
So good! Thank you!!!
Great lesson thanks
Thanks for the lesson on this song Justin, I hope it's going to be in the app. I moved from Scotland to the United States getting on for 20 years ago and it's been a long time since I heard the song. I found it on RUclips a few months ago and it took me back to when I was little and I watched the video on Top of the Pops, it also made me a little homesick for Scotland as with the pandemic it's not been possible to go back and visit family. Although I'm in the States now, my heart will forever belong in Scotland.
Thanks Derek. Cheers 😊

@@JustinGuitarSongs Thanks for the info. I’ll try and post some song requests. Unfortunately I have quite eclectic tastes so I doubt any of my song requests will make it up the leaderboard, as I see the usual song requests up there at the top. It’s great that so many people are putting requests up there but I find that certain songs have already been taught by other instructors and it would be nice that different songs that nobody has videos up would be tackled to give more variety for all different levels.
got married in scotland, had a dance to this Song at the Party. Love it
Love this song and you made it very easy to follow! Except for that little ending. But I'll keep working on it ❤
👍 Nice tutorial for a fabulous tune!!
Another bit to really make it shine adding some walking notes to transition from A to D (on the base line, A to B to C# to D)
I'm still trying to work out the chords and notes to follow the bagpipes at the outro, getting there (I should say I'm doing this for a cigar box guitar tuned to open G, GDg)
One of my favourite songs, thank you
Thank you. Cheers 😊

Justin, your vocals are sounding great. Would love to hear the whole song. You can tune down a whole step and it will fit your voice. I tune down three half steps. 😝

Thank you!
Beautiful song - get on the bagpipes Justin!!
Yeah I would probably have been whistling the bagpipes LOL as I played along
i like even the high sung notes from you
How beautiful is this, Justin! I've always loved your lessons. You've a beautiful soul, too. Love!
Lots of love back to you too!
you sing so truthfully and beautiful now
❤❤
Great Justin , here’s to Denny
Good singing!
Very kind of you. Thank you. Cheers 😊

Wow your ever best SINGING performance, started the video, but intentionally switched back to facebook for an incomimg message, so I just HEARD the singing, and I was thinking, that Paul himself would be singing there.
Very kind. Thank you. 😊

There's a knack to playing a slow one. Gives you too much time to think. Thinking is dangerous lol.
Love me some Mulligan's Tire.
Why would it be surprising that its his biggest hit? It was the first UK 2 million selling single and was the biggest selling single ever for a while. Even now only two charity songs and Bohemian Rhapsody have sold more.
hi justin, please replacements - skyway, its an amazing tune, i need to know how to play it
I have heard that the proper way to play the intro is to pluck the bass string about 10 mm or half an inch back from the sound hole to get the right timbre.
Also the first chord strum, beat 2, emphasizes strings 4, 3 and 2 and then on the 3 it is 3, 2 and 1. You can hear it on the record where the third strum rings out more. Then dampen the 1st string with your little finger while plucking the bass again. And so on.
Justin. Great video. Please can you tell us what guitar you are using and what amp it is going through? Sounds so natural.
It's a Froggy Bottom custom guitar. More info on Justin's guitars here: www.justinguitar.com/guitar-lessons/justin-s-guitars-list-and-info-gg-001| LievenDV | JustinGuitar Official Assistant
some find a thumb pick useful when the song calls for alternating bassline picking
Paul McCartney co-wrote it with Denny Laine.
👍
Every Nottingham Forest fan with a guitar is now learning this. Ha ha
Hey, will this be in the songs app?
Eventually, probably. Cheers 😊

3:17 Anyone who plays guitar or who has been in a band, this is the most "band practice" thing ever hah
Good tip at 4:30 If your playing while others are listening, and you muffle a chord or something, just keep playing along. It's less annoying to the listener, who probably thinks your playing pretty good, than saying "wait, wait", and starting over. Intentionally play a little messy while warming up, and worry about getting chord better next time around.
Hey Justin,
Could you do “Biblical” by Biffy Clyro?
Cheers.

Hahaha. He's funny.
I'm learning with Justin. He got a really great app. Only 9 euro p.m.
Can he only just talk a little slower? Sometimes understanding is quite hard.
From The Netherlands.
Я пяний... Нормально для пяного
O' Moll of King's Cross, how much is a root? O' moll ofKing's Cross:Rodney Rude!
8:00
When it goes to the E chord do we pluck the fifth string bass note? Or the sixth string bass note? Or the fourth string base note? Or is any one fine? The sixth string low E bass feels easy. Hard to mess that one up. 😝😝
Either of those is a 'root note'. DO what you can do and what sounds good.
Cheers 😊

As a kid, I always wondered what in the hell a "mull of kintyre" was. Now that I'm old and I have all information at my fingertips, I just realized I'm too damn lazy to just type that into google to find out...
Not a what but a where. Cheers 😊
