I have been waiting for this video. Very helpful. (I liked the B roll of the four boats while you were talking about the four devices) As a solo cruiser, I am really looking forward to the photo package as I normally have no pictures of me when I return home. I love that they have Champagne on the Premier. I like Prosecco but great to have a choice.
So glad it was helpful. We'd not thought about the photo package for a solo traveller. What a fantastic benefit that will be. Well picked up on the B Roll speed boats. They were slightly faster than the Wi-Fi on board though 😂 We thought the same on the Champagne too. Very rare to see it on any drinks package so we did take advantage of that once or twice. Have a lovely day, Linzi and Mark
You know you are experiencing something special when two people can consistently converse so smoothly together and complement each other stylistically. Thank you Linzi and Mark for all your content as your pleasant conversational style is so easy on the ears.
Oh wow, thank you Chris, that is such a lovely comment. Thank you so much for joining in our live chat too, and making them so much fun for us. Linzi & Mark
I started with Plus but caved for a 24.99 a day upgrade to be able to use wifi on multiple devices. TV options were limited and sometimes I wanted to grab my phone and other times my tablet for internet, RUclips TV, & Netflix, etc. Although I probably won’t use all the perks of Premier, you get a lot more bang for your buck paying the extra $5.01 than just getting more wifi so that is the plan for my next trip. Maybe I can offset some of it by passing up on a pricey excursion or two. 🤭
Thanks for the video. I was on this ship recently, the past 24 months. The bartender in the first 30 seconds. She was really nice. All of the staff was great.
Thanks for watching and for taking time to leave us a comment too. We are on Princess for our next cruise so keen to see the changes to the package. Have a lovely day, and Happy New Year. Linzi & Mark
It is a lot now Linda, we still think it is the best value package of the cruise lines (especially compared to say Royal) as you do get a lot more than just drinks, but if you have to pay full price (and not get it on a deal like Black Friday) then it is a big chunk of money. Having said that on our recent Ruby cruise, we spent practically nothing once we were on the cruise, as there was nothing we needed to buy with the package, which is nice from a budgeting perspective.
Thanks for that D R. We didn't know that. We are taking about going out of Galveston in the future so will absolutely remember this. Have a lovely day. Linzi and Mark
Fab vlog again as always. Don’t think we will bother with upgrading for our 7 night cruise next year. Hopefully they get the staffing sorted out by then 😬 Karen x
Hi Karen, the problem Princess have is that Princess Plus is already great value and if you go on longer cruises the value of Premier doesn’t really scale unless you are having lots of higher priced drinks or getting a lot of photos taken. We suspect at some point they will increase the number of speciality restaurants credits you get when you take longer cruises rather than just two. Hope you and Stuart are well. Have a lovely bank holiday, Linzi and Mark
Thank you Chris, it was worth it on the 7 night one we did, and we have it on our upcoming Sun Princess cruise next month (10 nights), so we will report back, but our gut feeling is yes it is. You only get two speciality meals, even on longer cruises, but the other bits are worth it anyway, at least we think so. Have a lovely weekend, Linzi & Mark
Just watched your video, we met on the tender going into St Peter Port. Couldn’t agree more with the difficulties in getting drinks and sadly the reliance on the wifi and medallion app that wasn’t fit for purpose really affected the experience. We’ve always had a good time on Princess but has made us think twice about going back on and also recommending it to others. Can’t wait to see your review of Bistro Sur La Mer 🙈
Hi Richard, it was great to chat to you on the Tender to St Peters Port. It was such a shame that the queues were so bad and medallion app simply was not up to the tasks, especially compared to how much better it all was on Regal, but with far less passengers the problem was probably just hidden. Sur La Mer review will be up next Sunday at 6 pm right after our Live Chat at 5 pm. The review will be "interesting". Have a lovely evening, Linzi and Mark
Oh no Betty. That is terrible. Did guest services.give you anything in exchange? They really do need to sort out and ensure they keep as many spaces free as they sell premier packages. We hope the rest of the cruise was good. Linzi and Mark
@@SuiteNatured no they didn't give anything in return. They just brushed me off with, "Seating is based on availability. You probably have to book your reservation as soon as you get on the ship. Some people even book before they get on the ship." Of course, this conversation happened before I found out that the restaurant was only open every other day.
That's terrible. We get there are only so many seats in the restaurants but if you've sold a package that gives speciality credits you need to make sure you can honour them all. Otherwise they are double selling knowing they can't honour the package. Linzi and Mark
Hi Gavin, the unlimited dessert and juice bar, as well as reserved theatre seating was brought in a few weeks ago, quite a while after we recorded this. And they increased the prices too. When we go on our next Princess Cruise we will review the changes and let you know what we think. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment too. Have a lovely day, Linzi and Mark
Hi Renee. They definitely did some on our cruise. It was a range called Truly Hard Seltzer. Strawberry Lemonade, Wild Berry, and Pineapple. And another one called Topo Chico. Hope that helps. Linzi and Mark
Absolutely Adrian. If you only have three or four drinks a day (including speciality teas/coffees) it simply does not make sense, or if the package is not worth it. Princess, though, quite often have the Plus package included in cruise fares. Then working out whether Princess Premier is worth it the $20 a day upcharge, really depends how much benefit you will get out of the rest of it, and if you would have gone to a couple of speciality restaurants anyway. Thanks for taking time to watch the video Adrian, and for commenting too. Have a lovely day, Linzi & Mark
Have been cruising since 1993. Princess has take a wrong turn. They are adding more and more pay venues which is very disappointing! I he tone more cruise out of Southampton in July. No need to upgrade for premium packages! Waste of money!
Completely agree about the adding of speciality dining venues, we had this specific discussion with Travel Blog Jamie on our last podcast. Even the new Queen Anne has a LOT of venues that charge compared to her sister ships. It is definitely a trend that has been growing for a long time in cruising. Having paid venues, and packages is fine (most cruise lines have them, even the more luxurious ones), but you have to make sure you still have the quality options (MDR, Buffet, Snacks) that you've always had too. The only real issue we had with Princess was making Alfredos Pizzeria paid or part of the packages, when that has always been included. The other venues you can decide if you want to pay or not, but to take one out and add it behind a paywall such as a package is not great (of course you can pay $14.99 as a one off too, but you get where we are coming from).
So. you are not a fan then Foster? What was it about the Premier package you didn't think was worth it? We genuinely feel it is the best value package, with the widest drinks selection of all of them at the moment?

What a lovely soft voice she has! could fall asleep listening to that all day lol! (not an insult) lol!
He he. We didn't take it as an insult. Thank you so much 😀❤️
$60 and $90 now 10/1 speciality dining is $78 per couple plus 18% gratuity

I’m subscribing just for that ripping set of norgs. Lucky bastard!
Thank you Wayne. It's very rare that anyone comments on Marks norgs and he really appreciates it 😂
On cruises in Texas they can not serve drinks until they reach international waters. Texas has unusual laws about high drinks on ships, etc...

Deliberating if this would be worth an 8 day cruise? We both love your channel and honesty ❤

My favourite is having a spirt morning gin, whiskey etc all the drinks I can’t afford to buy happy days 😉
And why not John. When it's included and you are on vacation then go for it. There's a great selection on board to work through 😉

We bought the premier package and we weren't able to use those specialty dining credits due to the Crown Grill being open only every other day.

Watched this video couldn't find any reference to the unlimited desserts, and how it works, as plus has 2 per day.

Anybody know whether or not the cruise ships have flavored carbonated drink or a seltzer with about 5% alcohol ? Something like Nutrl seltzer.
Hi Renee.
They definitely did some on our cruise. It was a range called Truly Hard Seltzer. Strawberry Lemonade, Wild Berry, and Pineapple. And another one called Topo Chico. Hope that helps. Linzi and Mark
@@SuiteNatured ok, thank you, I was wondering because we’re going on a Mexican cruise in January.

90 now
Yes it keeps going up but they do seem to have more offers on to buy it cheaper more often it seems.
