I had a calendar of "storybook houses" one year and this was one of them. I'm glad I got to see the inside. Not my cup of tea, but the outside is certainly right out of a storybook. Lovely.

This baby needs a total makeover. Outside and in. Needs to be all organic colors, textures and materials for a start. The dripping goopy white 'stalactites' look creepy. Wonder how it smells inside.
Is this still for sale? The original design of the house was changed by the next person who bought it, i would guess. Sad. Here imagination and adorable taste reigns supreme in its original design. The burl redwood steps have been varithayned for protection. Is it still for sale?
The interior lets it down badly. Its so whimsical/magical on the exterior, but sooo underwhelming inside. The lack of furniture and style is really disappointing.
I like it overall, but there are things I would definitely change if I had the money to buy it, which I don't. As an aside, people who do not have construction experience should never be allowed to comment on construction. Almost everything they said about how things were made is incorrect. The person who chose to have gloss paint and varnish in there, messed up big time. All the glossy varnish needs to go. At least it's fairly easy put flat paint over gloss paint. Stainless steel appliances? Really? The light fixtures, bathroom vanities, most of the plumbing fixtures, the outdoor kitchen, and the spa, are in the wrong style. The biggest question about the place is how they did the roofing, and whether it was done soundly. When that needs to be replaced, it will cost a fortune.

I was all about this house until i noticed the front door doesn't seal all the way (light streaming in from small areas around doors) and I imagined the amount of bugs that would be in the house. I also don't like that all the wood has a shine instead of looking natural. looks like i'm at disney world.
The doors and woodwork would have been lovely had they not shiny coated them, and with this fantasy house could they NOT have done a more imaginative bathroom? Wood slab countertops? stone sink? and , I'm sorry, the elephant in the room....why are they closing the showers with shower curtains? It does have potential, and the white walls don't bother me, keeps it from looking cave-like. Thanks for sharing this house. Always nice to take a peak at someone's home! BTW, granite off gases and is so 2000.....there are so many fantasy choices for countertops....I also LOVE the colored stone patio! Glad it's NOT beige...people are so afraid of color!

This is not a cobb house nor is it built like a cobb house. It is regular drywall and tons of concrete plaster and bondo. This has been high power clear coated with shellac and a car paint clear coating by a commercial spray gun.

There are so many cute details, unfortunately there are also so many terrible features to. The doors are lovey, but the back patio is an absolute nightmare, & the "stone" details on interior walls is gross & tacky. House looked so good from the front that I was sorely disappointed w/ the interior & back patio.

I live near the famous & historical Grove Park Inn, which looks like a giant version of this in a way. Some people on YT would surely call it a "cottage" too! People, we all need to get clear & distinct on what square footage actually classifies in which categories. Sheesh. Very nice house & video though, well done! ☺👍

Why does everything look like it's made out of plastic? The wood, the walls, even the stonework has a shiny finish. I want to like it.

The house is beautiful but also confusing. Why did they make some of the bathrooms look updated ? They don’t follow the magic of the rest.
