I was also told that I could never have children naturally. I was 16. Now I'm 31, and my daughter was born days apart from Malibu!! She was conceived naturally 💗
I think too many doctors talk about fertility and pregnancy in absolutes. In many cases when they should really say “less likely” or “may have a harder time” or “needs assurance” they just brush off the woman and say it is impossible and they are broken.
@@lolaloves6574 Totally agree . It’s insane to tell a 16 year old “you won’t have babies”. The only way to know that as a absolute, is absence of a uterus. Also , dislike the pressure of “you can start trying at the 6-8 week mark. It’s so so normal for the body to to take at least a year to be ready for another pregnancy. It creates so much chaos and unnecessary anxiety, sadness and stress . Having a 2 month old or 8mon old should not have sadness attached of “not being able to conceive “. When you think about it a 4 month old is so new ! And the mom is still so postpartum. It takes exactly 2 years for the body to physiologically heal from pregnant , birth and postpartum. That’s a lot of work and emotions , for mom baby and family . Without the added “there is no reason not to get pregnant again”. And 12 months is not long to try . Just another example of the pressure put on birthing people . ❤

I asked my mom recently if she always wanted to be a nurse & she quietly said “no. I wanted to be a wife and a mother and when I left your father I had to figure out to keep being your mom and support you guys” and I about cried. I haven’t really ever wanted kids but when my mom said all she ever wanted was to be a mom it made me feel emotions I hadn’t before. ❤
