4-3-3(4) is my personal favorite formation, I can usually score quick with this formation and usually switch to a 4-1-2-1-2 marrow later on which will usually get me the insurance goal to get the win and and that point just play good defense

I admire you so much..Started playing soccer around 2001 with pro evulotion soccer 4.. and now am a fifa player i have been watching your videos and i have made big progress expecially with game play and informations..I was late in playing Fifa 18 never played the 17 so its complicated..I hope i can take this experience into Fifa 19..Keep the good work and Good luck in every tournament you play in..
I play a 3-3-4. That's 3-2-5 in attack and a 4-4-2 in defence. Overload one side with a RS,RCF,RW and leave a LM/LW with lots of pace. I personally use 2 CDMs that has a decent passing range. 3 CBs that force play out to the wings and they would pay centrally whilst my wingers come back and double up with a CDM. In attack just push with you RS and RW, switch play by switching to your CF and give it to your LM which frees up space on the wing where you can cross or hang it back. It works really well against 3 at the backs but not so great against a 5-3-2
Love the 4222 was stuck in Div 8-7 and when I started using it I moved into div 2
4222 is the best! The gap between the midfield and the attack is easily got over by leaving one (or both) CDM in the "balanced" or "get foward" instruction.
3 -5 -2 is very good for belguim because they only have 3 cb and hazard can play moc with 2 st : lukako and mertens . Also good for tiki taka
3-5-2 with wing backs as LM and RM is excellent. I always used to struggle to play in legendary but this formation made it very easy for me with wing backs
Not that i know FIFA better then you, but these formations you describe with additional player instructions is PRO instructions. 0.001% of the people watching this is pro players. Applying "Get in behind" to strikers actually makes it harder to attack if you are just a regular gold 1-3 player in WL. This makes your strikers push your opponents backline down when you are attacking and if you are not fast enough or like you - have an exceptional talent on the video game - the attack just stop. I was one of those players who bought the explenations or hype around "Get in behind" but often found myself out of options. My game got up several levels when i just applied "Stay Central" for strikers and letting them be on "Balanced attack".
Have anyone else experienced this?

Well, it can be for sure. Don't be afraid to try it out and see the difference. If you have decent players up front they will do the job and it is not like they never gets in behind, they do. But if you playing possession build up play they don't just make mazy runs all the time.
We, ordinarie humans, can never play like the pros do, we lack the timing, vision and often don't have hours after hours to spend on a video game.
Naming 5 formations and all of them with "get in behind" just shows how far away these pros are from ordinarie players. I don't doubt Ivan is a awesome person and his willing to share is great. The problem is that he has been a pro Fifa player for how many years? I don't think, when he does these videos, that he can relate to what a typical Fifa player needs help with. Correct me if I'm wrong, but i always looked at this channel as a tutorial channel with walkthroughs and so on and that is why i brought it up.
Andjelka Nordström What formation do you play? I play the 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow, and like passing the ball to my full backs or midfielders to try and find my strikers run behind the defense. Do you know if strikers make these runs on "balanced attack".
4-1-2-1-2 has been my favourite this season ever since I switch to it I’ve finished in elite every weekend and that’s with most of my opponents having better teams than me aswell

Imo the top 5 are 4-3-2-1, 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-1-2-1-2, and 4-3-1-2.
I wish we had something like a dynamic formation like on PES, a different formation when in possession and when out of possession another one.
Yashwanth somayajula That's pretty hard to do in real life unless the players have practised it for a while so I doubt it'll be in game anytime soon
It would just be to OP. You'd have people switching to a 3421 in attack and then when out of possession having 532.
4-2-3-1 // 1 defensive midfielder stay back other defensive midfielder balanced but cut passing lanes and one Fullback stay back
Works really well with 2 playmakers eg silva and de bruyne then kante or fernandinho and other DM

4-4-2 Holding is a working great for me so far with custom tactics nd instructions. So far played 6 matches and won all 6 with it.
I personally like the 4-3-1-2 because of the fast interplay between the strikers and CAM

Just a quick question regarding the 41212(2) formation. In other videos they always recommend stay central for both ST and free roam for the CAM. Is it still a good recommendation?
What about custom tactics boras can you use any or has to be specific to the formation.

Hampus Lindfors I usually play 4-1-2-1-2 (1) in the 1st half, then switch to 41212 narrow seeing how the opponent plays, and whether my wingers are being used efficiently, is it better.to do that or directly use 41212 narrow??

Am a semi pro player playing on legendary in squad battles, I almost made it Elite 1 once but fifa and there thieving ways lol they can never see you in the lead and always in the end gets some sort of cheap goal lol but my wish is to atlease make it to Elite 1 with my mediocre squad
4321 is also quite good tbh I changed from 41212(2) and I can score more goals for some reason

Normally love the videos but must disagree mate. I use 4-3-3 (4) and find it the best and most well balanced formation. Also agree with not having ST run in behind it literally just makes them unavailable for your attacks

4-1-2-1-2 false 9 formation striker (lukaku as false 9) with wingers as cut inside and get in behind( Rashford - sanchez) .. CDM on stay back (matic) and 1 CM get forward (Herera )& 2 nd CM get forward , get in the box for cross (Pogba ) !!! try it peeps ! thank me later .

Yes! At least in squad battles
And in Fut Champs?
Azhar Alias most ppl only really use it because all of the players have 3 or less links except the center cm so you can easily get chemistry then change to a different formation.
