For instance, how to use the Echo Show 5 for in-home security use and adding it as an external speaker for use with laptops and/or PCs by utilizing the audio out port on the back. Bought this for elderly relative in another state. I will go there to set it up for him and use your helpful ideas. Can this be used if they don’t have a cellular phone and don’t have an Alexa Echo? He has minimal tech, but does have WiFi. My primary need is for him to see me and I to see him. Thanks
2:28 wish you'd shown how to get the analogue clock rather than digital. That's what I'd like particularly at night so can you explain how please? I have the show 8 but shouldn't be any different. Thank you.
It's really not that difficult. Go to settings, and find the clock and background section. There's not that many options. Or u can swipe from the home screen as well.
Echo Show 5 is officially supported in Hong Kong and Alexa app is not available in Google Play here. I setup my Echo Show 5 with the screen and later download the APK from APK Pure. It works fine now. I have also made a video of my setup and using experience.
Hi I need your help please. I don't know what I did but I need to factory reset my eco8 but am not able to pull down the screen to neither am I able to get in to go to the settings. Please help me.
We like the audio quality of the Echo Show 5 . . . Until . . . you pair a bluetooth device, or an Amazon remote. After disconnecting the bluetooth, the built in speaker looses it’s fidelity and sounds very tinny. To return the fidelity to the built-in speakers, I have to unplug the power and plug it back in. Also, when I paired the Amazon remote, the mic function did not work; all the other features worked. I had to pair the Amazon remote to my Echo Dot, and then the remote updated itself and the mic function would work on the Echo Show 5. I may just have a faulty device.
Using the camera is not a trick ! U should disclose from start that this is basic un boxing nothing hidden. I feel dumber after watching a fraction of this video lol

What functions does it have
It can do pretty much a lot of common tasks like asking for the weather and stuff
should ave made the camera shutter black to blend in with the frame white dot looks awful
But then it would be hard to know if the thing was closed or open🤷♂️
S. Menachery is there an orange tab on top to show if it’s closed or open - also the white frame does dot have a black dot - seems strange

I just told Alexa to play Amazon Photos as soon as I got it...
You should show do to add the features, not just the features
