Kratky hydroponics is awesome!!.I am also doing this for a variety of herbs and tender greens. Also one inside on a window sill growing socrates cucumbers...a variety that doesnt need polinators. Also, people must know to use dark buckets or buckets with something wrapped around them so no light can go through the buckets otherwise algae will start to grow and will start eating the nutrients.

Hello there! I have grown allot of peppers over the years in pots using dirt but thought I might try your method & have a couple of questions. When the plant was small in the small container, there was dirt in there correct? So did you have to water any before the roots reached the water in your bucket?
