You got another white quilt! nice find! Loved the bouquet making as usual 💐 I like getting ideas from public gardens too. Hope mother's day prep goes great.
I went to Bunnings this week and I nice they had Kale on there shevels as I was there to get more soil to transfer one of my ponytails as they are root band in the pots. Also I have potato's in the garden. I'm totally enjoying your videos as I have learn so much.❤ from Nanette
Hello!! How good is it wandering around looking at plants!! The ornamental kale at bunnings won’t grow long stems for bouquets BUT if you get some it will last all winter in your garden and look pretty!! Xx
In this video you bought flowers for the first time this season. In my garden I cut flowers for the first time and put my first of the season flower arrangements into my flower wagon. I only had Giant Solomon Seal, Columbines, Candytuft, and Bluebells. Also, I just started planting and selling my pre-started dahlias!
What!!! And purchased our flowers??? Wow that’s blowing my mind!!! I hope they were fresh the guys down there are still learning when to pull a bouquet from the shelf! It’s sweet though I’ve got some people in the community letting me know too 🤍.
I went to Shepparton three weeks ago for a funeral. It has changed so much since I was there last. I love the big pink dahlia in the middle of the first bouquet, what is it called? Dahlias are my favourite, so easy to grow. Your field just make your heart sing with so many beautiful varieties!
Do you have to cover your brassica’s with netting? I have to . I fill pails with rocks. All the time .🙄 I’m so busy planting the veggie gardens, hearty items . Onions , shallots, peas, Swiss chard. Beets. They can withstand my frost now. The flower seedlings. Are awaiting ! I planted some of the orange snaps . Beautiful bouquets! Love your videos , so interesting !
Stripping the leaves helps the plant maintain stability (as they can get top heavy). Stripping also stops the plant putting energy into leaves you won’t end up needing. It also reduces places for bugs and things to hide! Definitely strip off lower leaves. You’ll do it at least 3 times during its season :)
Hi honey, what are the castle looking buildings on top of your cream cupboard in the studio??? They look amazing. My son loves castles hence why Iam asking.
Oh they are Harry Potter buildings!! They were kits from a foam board sort of thing called a 3d puzzle from a company called Wizarding World. They sell them at Spotlight in Australia 🇦🇺
I love Golden Rod in bouquets

Ha ha ha you with buckets is me with Lincoln’s drink bottles. We bought 4 of them so we don’t have to wash to reuse immediately lol

I made a detour on my way back from Melbourne to Sydney and bought myself some from the servo recently. 😁

We do have nets on the brassicas. They get really chewed up if we don’t. Yum.. winter food is so good!!!
Does stripping the lower leaves on the flowering kale/ cabbage help to get longer stems? Growing for the first time this year. Thank you.

Mulching your beds with the sugar cane.. will be good to see the outcome. I too am worried it will be a hotel for slugs in my garden 🤔
So far so good!! We have the nets on a lot of rows though and that’s helping too
