I had no idea how truly great this bad was until I bought "Time Capsule" when I graduated back in 1998. I am NOT surprised that they've stuck around.... greatness never goes out of style.

1978 - A tiny club in Milledgeville, Ga. I met the fledgling B52s. A fellow musician, we took my car and smoked weed during their breaks.
At that time no one thought they would survive in the music industry,

@@blackmore4 The B-52s were fun to be around, and we are still friends. It's understandable why people thought they wouldn't catch on - most of us at the time were listening to Prog Rock or Punk. B-52s came along doing Bee Bop with a Surf style guitar sound.

B-52s should be in the RRHOF. No question. Party band? Best freaking partying music during 70s and 80s. Went to half dozen shows over the years, friggin great time every time. Have to listen to some of their newer stuff, but they've done enough to be in. Ricky and Keith's unique 4-string fine tune chords are just that, unique, which should be a criterion met. I ams ure I do not even have to mention one of the most recognizable female harmony teams with Cindy and Kate? And Fred? What a front mondo. Always felt the 5 (and then 4) were always synced. Nuff written.

@@southsideman4891 Totally agree. Heard the Steve Miller thing too. He is going on a campaign to change the whole thing. The way artists are treated is abysmal from what Ive read. In any case, it is one of the higher valued forms of recognition, or lese all the other artists wouldnt have showed up. Just vote the B52s in, and just know Wenner, Marsh and Evans, I curse you 3 every day they are not in. Wenner aint got much time left on this earth anyway. Sounds cold, but fuck'm, they'll get in after he's gone.

She does not look like she's in her 70s. She could pass for 30 in my neck of the woods easy. It's quite an accomplishment to look 10 years younger than you are. But she looks 40 years younger and she's still awesome!
