Kate has one of the most honest and recognizable voices in music. When her vocal kicks in, on Candy (her duet with Iggy Pop), it always gives me chills, every time I hear it. So happy she is doing well and still enjoying life!

When I was in college in the 1970’s, I wrote a paper on an “up and coming indy band” for my Music Appreciation class. The band was The B-52’s, and I scored an “A” on the paper! The professor commented in his remarks that the band seemed “rather cheesy”. Ahh, what did he know :(

I love the B-52's! My friend used to work as a waitress at The Four Seasons hotel in Boston. She served them once and remembered how they drank over $1000 in booze at one meal (which was way more than she even made in a week). When Fred says "where did the money go?!" that might be the answer. ….?

The combination of Kate's and Cindy's voices is a unique musical instrument in and of itself. After all these years it's a sound that still gives me goosebumps.

Many years ago, I won a VH1 Backyard Barbecue where the B52s played in Staten Island for me and my friends. Kate was so sweet to my wife and I and so was Keith and Cindy. Fred was a little standoffish, but still nice. It was a wonderful memory I will never forget.

B52's should be inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame! Incredible catalog of songs and they were on the forefront of acceptance of alternate lifestyles and compassion for HIV /AIDS victims.

I got to meet her last year after their show and she is wonderful, the band was great, and she had something kind to say to everyone during the meet n greet, a very genuine and graceful woman. A memory I will treasure for sure.

The B-52s and Devo played a concert at my high school in the early 80s. I forgot who opened for whom. Fantastic show! I remember being amazed that they were actually playing at my school.

Saw them in 89 when they toured for this album. Two hours of pure fun. Probably the best concert I have ever been to.

their subtle vocals on "topaz" are an underestimated slice of bliss.

Good lord, Kate Pierson ages gracefully! I remember when this song came out. I hated it then, but it definitely grew on me. Plus, I was a kid then, and my taste in music was less than stellar in 1988, though that year is my favorite year of music.

Who doesn't adore the great Kate. I'm so glad she enjoys life. She made everyone's life better.
