Viewing on my 5.5" screen I detected some "shorts" of vibration. The versatile mount design I feel should be adapted by other manufacturers. Value for money
Good evening Andre, I found a little jittering but not something that would affect any recordings very much and this looks a nice unit for those of us on a budget (when I say budget I say that with a little laugh ha ha ho ho as a budget assumes I actually have money to use in a budget) and for what it is it performed well enough for me.
Darryl Toombs : Hey Darryl, it’s a very nice unit with great build quality, I’m sure that the jitters are my fault as I’m still trying to figure out the best motor settings, when/if I figure it out I’ll post up another video
I bought this gimbal for yi4k+ but had to return it. In testing, I noticed some jitter issues in its stabilization like your video shows but thought I fixed after running through the app's calibration process. Then the next day during a filming event, the roll axis couldn't keep the camera level and would bounce/twitch the horizon. Had to abandon using it because calibrating this gimbal is difficult to do in general and difficult to accomplish on-site when the action is happening/counts. Calibrating dozen of times at home couldn't bring it back into order. Also I noticed the pan axis drifts (try monitoring the axis settings in the app, then recenter the gimbal... you'll see it just keeps drifting according to the coordinates). The multi point timelapse feature in the app didn't perform well on the gimbal either - it seemed to not mix a panning and tilting movement between point A and B evenly. I had high hopes but it didn't deliver in many ways in my case. Hope your's works out.
Matt Johnson : Thanks for the heads up. I fear I won’t be able to correct these issues and yes I noticed the pan drifting and also won’t go back to center, always slightly off.
I was hoping you would look at this one. I have had it queued in my shopping cart several times. I think I saw it for less than $100, which isn’t bad. If adjusting the motors helps, that would be a great deal for the price. I was wondering if you had, I think it is called a Go Pro Karma ring? Where it can attach to a go pro mount for a chest harness, I was thinking that would be a reasonable set up to smooth my cameraman, my pup, he doesn’t really care about smooth footage. Lol.
Andre, could you throw together a quick sample using the Hero 6? I'd be interested in seeing if the mounting obstructs the Hero's microphones, and if the Hero picks up gimbal motor noise. Thanks, Andy
Looks like it's a pretty cool gimbal, but very janky from left to right tilting while you were walking. If you get the motor settings figured out post up a video showing an example clip and what your settings were, until then, I will just wait before buying one.
George Edelston: I will definitely post up a new video of a complete overview of this gimbal soon and if I get the motor settings figured out I will also show what settings I used for the GoPro and sample clips.
Thanks so much. Saved my sanity. I was trying to figure out how to place the silver 7 without looking upside down.
Anytime
I just got it. I have a GoPro 4 and for shooting car shows I think it will help.
Thanks Bob Nice video.
1923bob : Thanks for watching !
I love your channel sir, very beautiful voice and production. Blessings to you
Nazir Kumha : Thanks for watching
Merci pour la revue 👍🏻
Mon plaisir

Dan Whitacre : Haha, then you can call him gimbal lol

amrunner4 : At 3:42 I show how to mount the hero 6, and at 6:11 I show the Hero 6 being used. You didn’t watch the video did you? :)

dave koh : If Zhiyun would send me one I would be happy to review it as I have heard good things about their gimbals
Doesn't look good at all. Feiyu tech G4 is way better.
