Wow! I can remember back in July of 1971 filming 3 to 5 year old children dancing at an program put on at the orphanage in Adaikalaburam in Madras State (now known as Tamil Nadu) in South India. We were on a missions trip at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Manapadu. That was more than 50 years ago. We were filming in 8mm video [no sound] back then in what seems was three centuries ago. I was with regret their we had to audio. Now at almost 77 years of age i beheld your most gracious video Sister Zdenka and i feel that you have somehow mystically/magically fast-forwarded me somewhere bear the year 3068! So many tutorials have lots of unnecessary waffle and are difficult to watch, but not yours. Your videos are exceptionally well-done. They are precise, conscise, informative and really well thought-out. I can tell you do lots of preparation and put lots of thought into them. Everyone who makes tutorials should use your techniques, this is the gold standard of tutorial videos. Thank you so much. Zdenka, ANOTHER VIDEO SUPER WELL DONE!! When watching an in-depth tutorial, I usually pause the video after each important item and type up some notes. The more informative the tutorial, the more notes that are taken. Most of my tutorials take about 3-4 pages; I'm happy to say this one took up 7 pages.. Now i will take the gimbal and my notes outside to read the notes, and experiment, then update the notes as my own real-world experience dictates. You're speaking style, level of DEMONSTRATED detail is a god send. I've seen so many of your videos, I feel like your an old friend. THANK YOU.

I've been using my gimball now for about a month, and I keep coming back to your video when in doubt on how to use the features. You did an amazing job with this video very easy to follow. I have one question, I have an iphone 14 pro and I can not find that coil cord that connects the iphone to the gimbal. Do you have any idea where I can get one of those?

Hi Z. This is by far the most intelligent gimbal I've ever owned thanks to the hardware AI Module. Together with its 400g payload, makes it one of the most capable small gimbals around. What I want Hohem to do next, is make a hardware AI Smart Gimbal for DSLR's like the Sony A7 iv.
Zdenka thanks for a comprehensive vid. There was one thing that I found was wrong and had to go back through the channels to find out after 1.5 hours of trying and despair I still couldn't get the remote to pair. You said turn the remote on and then press the Mode button seven times. Doesn't work. You have to have the remote OFF, press the Mode button seven times, and THEN turn the remote on. Pairs in a microsecond. I do wish Hohem's documenters were as good as their engineers!

Zdenk - your presentation are always spot on - well scripted, great pace (not so fast as many others are), excellent filming and terrific editing. Just the best - Just ordered the Hohem M6and thanks for giving me a head start on understanding it full capabilities. I will be upgrading my iPhone 10X Pro Max to 15 Pro Max tomorrow and hope the Hohem can take advantage of the three cameras.
Thank you so much… I just got mine 15 Pro last night and haven’t had a chance to test it yet.., if there are some features not working, it might take few weeks for them to catch up
very comprehensive gimbal tutorial, probably the first video to watch before operating this device. i do hope they will have more video resolution for the new s23 ultra. i have the x2 and i can tell the so many limitations unlock by this gimbal. if hohem do update the firmware, would be great to have the zoom or focus independent of the app.
But with this gimbal you can use your native camera app with all its functions which is always better than the gimbal app and you still have AI tracking available. That's its biggest selling point by far.

Very helpful overview! Do you have a video dedicated to using this in portrait mode? I cannot get it balanced correctly, or figure out how to avoid the phone bumping into the back when I need to move it down to film lower. Everyone's tutorials on portrait mode are too fast for me to see what they're actually doing to balance it, or they're using a small phone.
Just got mine and I absolutely love it. Question, is there an extension phone clamp for larger phones? My s23 ultra with case fits very tight. Also can you manually start tracking without the gestures?
Unfortunately I don’t think there is extension clamp. You can track in Hohem app by sliding with fingers across the screen selecting the subject you want to track

hey zdenka, love the video and was super helpful in getting used to the gimbal rather than going back to the instruction manual book every time! just had a question, every time i try to pair the gimbal with the wireless remote it says pair failure. the remote is turned on and im doing the 7 mode button presses, why is it not connecting? any ideas? thanks!
Hm.. I will make a real on that one and post it on Instagram. I remember that you have to also press something on the remote to pair. Let me find the manual for both and work on this one. I have three remotes and work well but I just can’t remember right now out of the head how it was done.
Thanks for the video. I bought one. It really appears to be designed primarily for video, not still photos. Example, if you want to take a series of photos in rapid succession it is not realistically capable, at least I have not figured out how. This is puzzling, I would think pulling the trigger button (or holding it down) would take photos rapidly.

Fantastic video thanks you. I have this gimbal and the app, the only issue I have with using the app is that it does not give the same wide angle as the phone app does and so for my RE videos this is a problem, otherwise it seems very comprehensive.
ZDENKA! You CAN change modes with the remote "M" button. Its a bit unusual. Press it once for Pan Follow. 2x for Pan Tilt Follow 3x for Lock, 4x for POV. As noted this is different than the M Button on the Gimbal handle but Hohem loves those press X times functions. One more amazing festure. Press and hold M on remote for 5 seconds. The LED on remote turns blue momentarily. Now the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons ZOOM in and out. Press M 5 seconds agsin and it goes back to tilting gimbal up and down with Arrow buttons.

YOUR AIM SHOULD BE TO LEAVE AN HONEST REVIEW AND NOT TO MISLEAD YOUR AUDIENCE!!! After viewing the videos from you and other RUclipsrs literally exalting HOHEM iSteady M6, I decided to go purchase one for my business needs. I bought it from the Hohem Official Store. However, when I first used it, I was SHOCKED and DISAPPOINTED to see that the motors make such an annoying non-stop like boiling water sound, that it covers the actual sound of the scene. I immediately sent them a feedback along with videos showing this severe issue that makes it LITERALLY UNUSABLE!!! Hohem Official Store representative asked me not to file a complaint and dispute and hiding the truth to me, they suggested after a one week text messages exchange, to send me a replacement but I had to cover the delivery costs AGAIN!!! It was vain to argue more asking them to send me a new one without any more costs on me, so I paid the extra delivery costs AGAIN... I JUST received the new one...Guess what....THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM INSISTS and of course they all knew it was there!!! Starting from the official store representative till you and all other SPONSORED RUclipsrs who like to mislead your audience! This is unacceptable and you should all be ashamed... I challenge you to post a video where you use the video recording in a quiet room using this crappy gimbal leaving the sound unedited!!! I can send you and anyone in here by email multiple videos, showing how bad it is! This defect makes this gimbal actually useless and should go straight to the trash! If I have an external battery can I plug it into the charging port while I'm using the Gimbal and will it charge the gimbal while I am using it?

Great video!! I’ve owned this gimbal since shortly after it was introduced (which I found out about from this channel) and watched tons of videos about it. I still learned some new features in this video! This is the first time I’ve heard about pressing the mode button 3 times for inception mode. Everyone said it had that mode, but always referenced the Joy app Moments section to use that one. There were a few Joy app settings that you clarified for me too! Thanks so much for this video!!
Hello, Good video explaining gimbals The Magnetic AI visionsensor is only used to film people. The sensor is useless for objects, correct? So, for those who want to use the gimbal to film landscapes, monuments, trees, animals, everything except people, we don't need the AI sensor, can you confirm? Thanks for help
Hi Zdenka! I've been checking almost daily to see when this long look at the M6 was up, then missed 2 days and wouldn't you know, I missed it! I've made a point to put notifications on your videos now. I don't like missing the good content on RUclips! If I haven't said it in a while, thanks for all you do!🙏 Perfect example of your thorough approach, you even covered the Remote! I've figured most things out, but if I learn even one new thing, it's time we'll spent!

Thank you for informative video! I finally purchased one after watching your few videos of hohem isteady M6. I have a question about lock mode at PTF: My gimbal moves downward after releasing trigger (press twice & hold last) while come back again at PTF mode. Is this known issue? Is there any fix?

You are very welcome. I am not sure why this is happening to you. Once you are in lock mode, it should be holding in lock position. Try to reset the gimbal in the settings

Hi , firstly… great videos! Truly professional ( I am a professional film VFX supervisor ). Quick question with the hohem I will be using an iPhone 13pro with a shure mv88 plugin mic and a freewell Sherpa anamorphic lens….. is this going to overload this gimbal?
Thank you for your support. Unfortunately I cannot answer this. What you should do is weigh your setup and then compare with maximum payload of the gimbal. It has to stay below..

Hi, Ok you seem really knowledgeable about this stuff , The Samsung 24ultra i have has a Great mic especially in Pro video , you have 3 settings on the mic ,Front ,Back and Omni , It records and sounds great ,OK this is my issue > I play guitar to backing tracks small room 11'x12' i put the phone on a stand pretty much in front of the backing track speakers , BUT when i record and play back the backing track its TOO Low .. That's my problem .. that's why i was thinking of using soemthing like that mic

Compared to Osmo 6 which one do you all prefer (assuming you have used both) I just bought the Osmo 6 but I am thinking about returning it to get this one.
Great video dji osmo 6 for their dynamite zoom feature which is the dolly zoom feature on this gimbal which can you continuously film in that setting? or do you have certain time diameters to work between that you have to set up beforehand

Hi, great video. I have a question though. I am interested in creating hyperlapse using this gimbal. The way OM6 handles this is that you select an object to track and start the hyperlapse. Do we also have the same functionality available in hohem joy app as well? Thanks in advance

Wonderful tutorial!! I love the AI tracking, But seems to be so much headroom, I've tried to get it to frame down but to no avail! The frame gesture seems to only work for side to side framing, any thoughts? is it possible?

I have an android galaxy s23 ultra and was hoping to get the most out of it's video capabilities but by the sounds of it the company have restricted the record quality for android.
Yes, this phone is difficult when it comes to making it work on gimbal’s. Companies can’t access the cameras because they are blocked by the manufacturer or so it’s difficult to enable all that.
After nine month is the battwry still holding its charge . I have 2 gimble from diferent comapanies one battery doesnt hold charge the other cant calibrate it anymore . Thanks nice video

You are very welcome… just long press the button on the wheel. It will turn on and off the light
@@ZdenkaDarula Yes, but when I turn it back on it's still in the RGB mode. I want to return to normal light if that makes sense.

You said turn the remote on and then press the Mode button seven times. Doesn't work. You have to have the remote OFF, press the Mode button seven times, and THEN turn the remote on. Pairs in a microsecond. I do wish Hohem's documenters were as good as their engineers!

very comprehensive gimbal tutorial, probably the first video to watch before operating this device. i do hope they will have more video resolution for the new s23 ultra. i have the x2 and i can tell the so many limitations unlock by this gimbal. if hohem do update the firmware, would be great to have the zoom or focus independent of the app.

Very helpful overview! Do you have a video dedicated to using this in portrait mode? I cannot get it balanced correctly, or figure out how to avoid the phone bumping into the back when I need to move it down to film lower. Everyone's tutorials on portrait mode are too fast for me to see what they're actually doing to balance it, or they're using a small phone.

Just got mine and I absolutely love it. Question, is there an extension phone clamp for larger phones? My s23 ultra with case fits very tight. Also can you manually start tracking without the gestures?
Unfortunately I don’t think there is extension clamp. You can track in Hohem app by sliding with fingers across the screen selecting the subject you want to track

Hm.. I will make a real on that one and post it on Instagram. I remember that you have to also press something on the remote to pair. Let me find the manual for both and work on this one. I have three remotes and work well but I just can’t remember right now out of the head how it was done.

Thanks for the video. I bought one. It really appears to be designed primarily for video, not still photos. Example, if you want to take a series of photos in rapid succession it is not realistically capable, at least I have not figured out how. This is puzzling, I would think pulling the trigger button (or holding it down) would take photos rapidly.
Yes gimbals are primarily made for video. Photography is limited there

Fantastic video thanks you. I have this gimbal and the app, the only issue I have with using the app is that it does not give the same wide angle as the phone app does and so for my RE videos this is a problem, otherwise it seems very comprehensive.

ZDENKA! You CAN change modes with the remote "M" button. Its a bit unusual. Press it once for Pan Follow. 2x for Pan Tilt Follow 3x for Lock, 4x for POV. As noted this is different than the M Button on the Gimbal handle but Hohem loves those press X times functions.
One more amazing festure. Press and hold M on remote for 5 seconds. The LED on remote turns blue momentarily. Now the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons ZOOM in and out. Press M 5 seconds agsin and it goes back to tilting gimbal up and down with Arrow buttons.

Great video!! I’ve owned this gimbal since shortly after it was introduced (which I found out about from this channel) and watched tons of videos about it. I still learned some new features in this video! This is the first time I’ve heard about pressing the mode button 3 times for inception mode. Everyone said it had that mode, but always referenced the Joy app Moments section to use that one. There were a few Joy app settings that you clarified for me too! Thanks so much for this video!!

The Magnetic AI visionsensor is only used to film people. The sensor is useless for objects, correct? So, for those who want to use the gimbal to film landscapes, monuments, trees, animals, everything except people, we don't need the AI sensor, can you confirm?

You are very welcome. I am not sure why this is happening to you. Once you are in lock mode, it should be holding in lock position. Try to reset the gimbal in the settings

No, I did not have mechanical issues. If you study your manual first, then you’re OK. If you just randomly press buttons, you can break it.

Hi, Ok you seem really knowledgeable about this stuff , The Samsung 24ultra i have has a Great mic especially in Pro video , you have 3 settings on the mic ,Front ,Back and Omni , It records and sounds great ,OK this is my issue > I play guitar to backing tracks small room 11'x12' i put the phone on a stand pretty much in front of the backing track speakers , BUT when i record and play back the backing track its TOO Low .. That's my problem .. that's why i was thinking of using soemthing like that mic

Great video dji osmo 6 for their dynamite zoom feature which is the dolly zoom feature on this gimbal which can you continuously film in that setting? or do you have certain time diameters to work between that you have to set up beforehand

I am using a Pixel 7 Pro with a case. The clamp on the M6 is a bit hollowed out, so no problems with the buttons on the phone.

You cannot paid it. The gimbal is just there to stabilize your footage if that makes sense

Yes, they recently added this feature in the app. There is no other gimbal at the moment.

I have an android galaxy s23 ultra and was hoping to get the most out of it's video capabilities but by the sounds of it the company have restricted the record quality for android.
Yes, this phone is difficult when it comes to making it work on gimbal’s. Companies can’t access the cameras because they are blocked by the manufacturer or so it’s difficult to enable all that.
After nine month is the battwry still holding its charge . I have 2 gimble from diferent comapanies one battery doesnt hold charge the other cant calibrate it anymore . Thanks nice video
