well he does talk its just he doesn't do it much when someone ask him what happened and he makes those gestures that's him talking still I kind of like that ideal of why he's silent most of the time it shows that despite all he's gone through he's not perfect but he doesn't need to be to be a hero

I would've loved to see everyone else's reactions to Link's bond-monologue to this besides Sidon's - Makes me wonder how the reactions would play out differently; as in the scenario changed to instead of the main 4 Sages hearing Link's bond-monologue speech, it would be heard by the 4 Spirit Champions through their Spirit Power Gifts bestowed onto Link {I'd love to see the reactions of Mipha, Daruk, Revali, & Urbosa if they heard Link's speech that's directed to them}

When I saw the preview, I thought this was gonna be a comic ragging in Yona. Thank Hylia that’s not the case. This turned out to be rather funny. Link’s insecurities and lack of after thought comes back to bite him when he realizes he made Sidon sad. Classic. Love this comic.

I believe in the BOTW/TOTK the only characters confirmed to be able to see/hear them are Link and Zelda, thanks to the connection with forest through the Master Sword. It's also why no one acknowledges Hetsu when he's at the various settlements/stables, and why no one helps the Koroks looking for their friends.
Dude, the bromance between Link and Sidon is the absolute best. I appreciate Nintendo letting us summon the squad to fight together, but I really do wish they gave us the actual characters instead of spirits. Would be nice to hear some banter from them too as we traveled. Sidon trying his best to remain positive in the heat of the Gerudo Desert would've been awesome.
All the real characters (minus Mineru since she’s already real) come together for the final battle and it feels amazing, but I agree. It would be so much more amazing if they felt like actual companions, like Midna, or hell, even Navi or Tatl, having them comment on various stuff if you talked to them and whatnot. It would really REALLY make them feel more like characters than they already are, and that’s great, because I can’t get enough of all of them (except Yunobo he’s dumb).
I dunno know tho. Some characters just cant go to some places. Sidon would get obliterated by the lightning in Tabantha becoming 🎣 . Tulin would have his wings burnt in Elden region becoming 🍗. Riju would get extremely weak and sick from the cold of Hebra region considering she’s adapted to a dangerously hot place becoming 🥶. And Yunobo? None, he’s pretty strong actually. He’ll stay 🪨

This Link design actually makes him out to be an adult since the game doesn't really do a great job at making it look like half a dozen years have passed. Granted, going from 17 to 22/23 probably would not age him too drastically but the game's graphics and shader don't quite show too many facial details. So. Link visually look the same too.

I was actually wondering about this. A huge part of the vibe of botw was the solitude. When I was on the Plateau, I wasn't alone. Then my only guide and my only friend revealed that he was dead the whole time, and he charges me with what I failed to do before, gives me the freedom I'd worked for, but a burden as well. And then I'm alone. I was alone and scared, fixing my eyes to one point on the horizon, than the next, or else I wouldn't move. Then I got Mipha, and I was less alone. Then Urbosa, Revali and Daruk and I wasn't alone anymore. Then I finally succeeded in saving Zelda, and neither of us were alone. Then I lost her again. Then I had Rauru, and lost him too and then I was alone and frankly, a little bit more angry than before. Now I have Tulin, and I have Sidon. Not completely alone anymore. But I do wonder if they're really just blank avatars, or if sometimes they could hear me.
