Valencia has a mix of old and new buildings, giving it a real special feel of its own. From medieval castles and towers to modernist and art deco architecture, from nice little shops to big shopping centres, Valencia has it all.
I'm so happy to see Valencia get a little love. I've been visiting there for over 25 years. It's my absolute favorite Spanish city. Small(ish), warm, fun, very few tourists, cheap and great food.
Thank you! It is a city geared for locals and we loved that. From the central market to the green spaces for biking it just felt like such a livable city.
Thank you for this video. It's the best I've seen on Valencia. I am a house sitter and I'll be leaving my current assignment in Helsinki, Finland on Wednesday to go to Valencia for 5 weeks. I'm so excited because I'll have plenty of time to really visit all of the sites. I don't have to rush through them. I'm going to visit all of the places you've listed. Also, in case you don't know, there are some really cool tours and things to do with AirBnB Experiences. I paid about $75 US for an evening making paella with a chef in a home (when I get to Valencia). It includes wine and jazz. At the end, we all eat the paella together. There are similar things to do with the site, Like A Local. I am doing a Vespa tour of Lisbon with a guide for one day on a stopover before I get to Valencia. Just some fun things to add to the itinerary if you have time and a little extra cash. I subscribed!
Well I plan on moving there in a year, so I'm hoping to see as much of it as possible and figure out where I might want to stay. Valencia is definitely on the list!
I really LOVE the way you filming!! The choice of music, the contents, the imagines, the entire creation of the video. Everything is really well done. It's a pleasure following you in your travels. Hugs! Renata THANKS,
Thanks for sharing your travels. I studied in Spain my junior year of college back in the early 80's. Makes me want to go back for a visit! Love your videos!
City of Arts and Science os awesome! When you showed it, it imediately reminded me of Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã) in Rio de Janeiro, because of the design of the construction. Then I google it and found out both places were designed by famous architect Santiago Calatrava.
You visited the right attractions, only missed the roman ruins at the Almoina. The Turia gardens at the old river bed (9km) is a must, you made 40% by bike, but when you reach the 100% near the zoo , it continues on the actual Turia river bed for... don't know like 30km more?
I have a love-hate relationship with Valencia, more than once I've struggled to find my hotel in the old town after a few vino tinto ha! You showcased what the city has to offer really well though, I'm hungry now!
You’re a great couple, so sweet ❤️ Thank you for sharing this video of Valencia. I wanted to see what it was like as a cruise we’re thinking of going on stops there. Beautiful place and not what I expected. You made me laugh with your love of food! We too are foodies so for us that was a crucial part of of it so 👏🏻👍🏻. I wish you both happy travelling together and keep smiling!
It has been by far my favourite video I have seen on youtube about my lovely city! :-) You missed the beach and the harbour so now you have a good excuse to come again :-P
I live in Pula. That's how I found you, searching for some videos about my town. I'm really glad you had a great time here, Croatia is amazing. I'm sure you'll enjoy Split and especially Dubrovnik. Btw, if you have a chance, definitely go visit Plitvice lakes national park, that's a place you shouldn't miss! :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plitvice_Lakes_National_Park
"Most of our time in Valencia seemed to be spent eating" - lol - Sam, watching you guys in Spain has been one long hand to mouth experience, from the four of you.......reminds me of the punch line in Jefferson Airplane's legendary song "White Rabbit" - feed the head, feed the head, feed the head......keep em coming, bro....:-)
Hahahaha....thank you! It has more or less been a feed the head trip to Europe with my parents. If we weren't walking a lot none of us would still fit in our clothes ;)
Magnificent scenery & fantastic architecture to go along with out of this world food, what more could anyone desire! Thanks for sharing and as always love your videos & looking forward to your next one!
Love this video. Currently in Valencia, and it is amazing here, really loving it here. The Arts and Sciences building/area was superb! Leaving on Saturday to go back to miserable London, but will be returning back here again!
Happy you found some amazing food! I know exactly where this is: Tapas Bar Boatella :) Also the croquetas are based on bechamel and not potatoes! If you still have time try to get a paella in the country side. There is it's the real deal cooked over orange wood.
Are you sure? If they are the bacalao ones, in Valencia they are normally made with potato not bechamel. Not sure how they make them in Boatella; haven't been there in ages!
I'm from Germany and our Kroketten are made from potatoes - so every time I mention potatoes and croquetas people flip here. But yeah, the bacalao version we've seen in Lisbon are with potatoes.
That's weird because croquetas de patata are quite common, although it does depend on the region. Some places use the word buñuelo instead of croquetas when they are made with bacalao and potato.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos : Again , lots of love to you both and be our guests. Also , give us the pleasure to guide you around when you plan. 😊

Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos Aaaah yes, NYC was indeed rockin'. Planning to go there again. We're enjoying Porto. We're staying an hour north from Porto in a little village.
