Try the super death hooks behind the dodgers. Maglips work great there as well as trolling flies. Nothing compared to collins lake the first few days it reopened after closing to covid.
I do like the super death hooks. Use them often. Ya after covid was silly. It fishes well in January and February believe it or not when the water is brown. I’m assuming due to the cooler water. Thanks for the interest 🤙🏼
I wouldn’t say planted. They are grown. They raise and grow there fish to trophy level. Then release them. You won’t find a lake in Ca that has huge trout that has never been planted. But with that being said, every lake has its own trophy! 🤙🏼
I wouldn’t give it up. It’s a Great Lake. If your in a boat, troll small rapalas, crank baits, cast masters, flasher and worm. Anything that wiggles really. If you’re on the bank. Fish near the beach. Important that you go early before the people get there. Use power bait. Also the dam is very productive casting cast masters or using power bait. Anything that is off the bottom should work. Jan-April is the best months. Price to get in is the only draw back to the place.
Love your setup, especially the boat. Your videos are awesome also, no fluff.

@@fowledfinatics Looking forward to it! 👍🙏🎣⚒
Ha!!! Worked there as a teen. Good trout and bass fishing
Ya great fishing all around for sure. Cool place
Nice day.
The big 15 pound fish are planted that size and not growing that big in their pens.
OK; Not to be picky, but when the "Trophy Trout" are planted.......

Hatchery fish are tasteless mush. 👎
I caught a 4 1/2 pounder off the dam on a big O it had a tag for a free ice-cream after drinking 🍻 beer lol
That’s awesome. Their ice cream is the best!
Collins lake I fished it for last 30 years
Fun lake to catch fish 👍🏼
I give up on Collins lake... been there so many times and never catch a trout.... Lake amador is better and they always stock up trout
I highly disagree with this statement from a trolling standpoint.
