A moment arises
when dilemma compels
us to analyze.
Faced with a difficult
decision in the choice
of our friends,
we fear that they may
not deserve that name.
We can misread
our thoughts.
Our kindness makes us
forget to see
other people's motivations.
We commit folly
because of our
eagerness to please.
We forget that we are
exhibiting bursts of enthusiasm
that is disorienting to others.
But I reckon,
if we value authenticity,
we should not be thinking
about motivations or
sensibilities.
We should accept people for
what their inherent dignity
dictates them to be.
Whether they are true to
themselves, only God can
judge fairly and adequately.
Humans constantly struggle
to overcome their prejudices
because of pride.
We react,
even to our sense of justice
when our pride is at stake.
We will never learn
if we won't fight against the
prejudices known by our brain.
Let the heart suffer
no judgement.
Allow the heart
to accept the truth
without conditions.
I will love myself even after
severely criticizing my brain
for its miscalculations.
That is my truth.
The same truth
I will apply to everyone.
The same truth
that will keep me
centered in my soul.
