- A bird steps into an empty skull...
...usually in a haunted house type of setting...
...and scares the Stooges out of their own skulls.

IF A BODY MEETS A BODY (1945)
THE GHOST TALKS (1949)
SCOTCHED IN SCOTLAND (1954)
I neither own nor claim any rights to this material. Just having some fun with it. Thanks for watching!
This was the gag that got me hooked on the Stooges as a little kid: the way those guys screamed in terror at a goofy skull with a bird inside had me rolling on the floor laughing. Thanks for putting these into a single video.
The bird works for columbua studios
He even goes into turkeys🤣🐦💀
Scull with rotating wheel. Lol
Always makes me laugh.
Worldless Is Absolutely Terrans And Has Beautiful Necklaces That Seem Like A Flame For Them.
"Skeleton with little feet, huh?" My all-time favorite line from the Three Stooges. If you remember, Moe never saw the thing, yet he said that line to Curly before belting him. How did he know it had "little feet"? That's what make it so funny.
Oh my God, they were good. I think Moe was the best stooge. I've been through my Curly and Shemp loving stages, and Larry is always Larry. But Moe had some of the funniest lines and his quick transition from tough guy to "scared chicken" is classic.
I love Shemp's line after he clobbers both of them with the broom. They look at him, he looks at the broom and says "It's lucky I got it away from him or he'd have killed you both!"
I love the three stooge
Same here
A feathery bit of skullduggery, that. :)
0:17 That’s a fine time to be hello-ing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
2:19 Hwk. What’s the matter? You crazy or something? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember watching these as a kid and thinking it was a perfect blend of funny and scary.
Lmao watching this in 2023!!🤣🤣
My favorite bird in the skull gag was from 1:48 !
Epic! Appreciate your editing labor of love!!!!
I really want to figure out how the prop guy made the wings actually flap. I want to recreated the skull and its got me stumped
Boy Moe was scared of the skull in that cubicle at the very end
"That's a fine time to be helloing."
The Skull n Wings, also inspiration for Avenged Sevenfold's logo.
Just want to point out that the parrot was reciting the old slogan for Gillett Razor Blades.
what exactly is it saying, all i can understand is "blade" and either "look" or "luck"
@@cartledgej The full slogan was "How are you fixed for blades? You'd better look!"
1:00 There it goes again! There it comes again!
If you’re a parrot you repeat things
it’s what you do
(Squawk) it’s what you do
The bird in question must be a parrot, obviously.
@bucky468 I was saying for the most part. The owl in question has to be pretty small, to fit in a skull.
@bucky468 my thoughts exactly. The only parts of the bird we see are the feet, when the skull is moving across the floor, and the wings, when the skull is airborne. In Scotched in Scotland, we definitely see it's a parrot that's getting into a skull.
In "If A Body Meets A Body" we see the parrot in it's cage before the wind blew it over.
Have you done "Man vs Soup" gag?
Hey how about "Go Haunt A House"!
To repeat a comment posted below..the Final line in this video is "How ya Fixed fer Blades? Ya Better Look!" It was a very popular commercial slogan for Gillette shaving products..and it featured a cartoon Parrot character that asked the question. It appeared in TV, radio and magazine ads at the time (1954), and everybody who saw "Scotched in Scotland" in the theater got the joke. LR
Thanks! I always wondered why that bird in the skull said that in the episode!
2:25 Hairs up 😂😂😂😂😂
One isnt a parrot because instead of repeating phrases and squawking it goes hoo hoo aka an owl 🦉
My first thought when seeing this gag was "It's a Bubble from The Legend of Zelda".
If you don't stop seeing things, i'm gonna gouge your eyes out!!
So that’s where the deathbat originated.
So why is there a bird in a skeleton
Same reason there's sometimes a bird in a turkey! :)
@@porflepopnecker4376 There always seemed to be a bird in any haunted house and a handy skull laying around.
That's the gag!
Do you think this gag is what inspired the mascot for avenged sevenfold?
Mayday And Olivia 💙❄💧
That’s scary 😢
