Isle of Man TT Diary: behind the scenes practice week action

- We’re set up at the 2024 Isle of Man TT… it’s been a mixed few days with delays to track action on Monday, a cancellation of the schedule Tuesday and then being able to get back on track last night.
There’s already been plenty of action, I had a bird to the face at the top of Bray Hill (at 155mph) on night 1, breaking in the screen but still completing the lap. My supertwin bike had a technical issue meaning I had to abandon it trackside and make my way back through the back roads and Last night I topped the sulby speed trap at 205mph.
You also may have seen the announcement that the Isle of Man TT is having its own docu-series and feature film made by the same people who created F1 ‘drive to survive’ and in partnership with Brad Pitt and Channing Tatums production teams, which I’ll be part of…
So come behind the scenes as we travel to the island, set up and go through all the first thoughts and track action of this years TT

Nice vlog. Definitely agree that global coverage is improving, bringing new fans into the sport. The TT+ Pass for the coverage has been a game-changer. £20 for full coverage plus 12 months highlights and an eight part documentary, focusing on different aspects of the event , is a bargain 😀 Ride safe.

Great video. He sounds like he is struggling to find the words, but he succeeds, as he eventually expresses himself really well. His comments about wasting mental effort on nerves whil waiting to practice, instead of constructively using mental effort to process his experience on the track was fascinating. I haven't heard that before.

His attitude of slightly pushing himself a little bit further than is comfort zone seems sensible. Improve, but stay safe. I worry that some less experienced riders perhaps push themselves too far.

Interesting interaction with the local wildlife. As a Aussie, are you aware of the random fact the IOM has a wallabie population in excess of 560? The biggest colony anywhere outside of your homeland. It became established after they escaped from a local zoo in the 60's and have established themselves since. Please avoid the irony that would be an Aussie hitting a marsupial in the Northern hemisphere 😱😂
