      Honestly. I just spent forever customizing my front screen and now I’m probably gonna have to swap it back. I’ve been considering android for a while and honestly this might be the straw that breaks the camels back. I’m sick of their awful software. They really fell off with Steve Jobs. This is a such a stupid issue for such a large company… just like not allowing me to install software from outside their store, or have an animated wallpaper, or customize my photo widget, or remove text from beneath my apps/widgets, or having a USB C port… apple is now boomer tech.

      Apple, they are so obsessed with their brand image they rather you have stock icons so it’s easily recognisable as an “apple device” and if you wanna have custom icons then they’ll want to make it annoying and inconvenient for users to have custom icons

      @@ShadyRapture coming from an android user that recently bought an iPhone, "iOS sucks balls." Like why are files and gallery separated? Why aren't screenshots separated to photos taken on the camera? Why isn't there a dedicated back gesture that works everywhere, not just in specific scenarios? Why are scrolling screenshots limited to such few apps? Why does the phone have to show this banner each time you use a shortcut...? I am switching back to my old android and returning my iPhone. iOS as an OS is not dynamic AT ALL (this is coming from a myself, a developer).

    There is a much easier way to hide the Shortcuts banner. All you need is to add the “Focus” line and set it to Do Not Disturb as your first line in your Shortcut. Then in the last line of your Shortcut you can disable the Focus. In fact, you can first check what Focus you are currently in and save that to a variable so you can set it back to the previous Focus.

    • @sambeckman
      @sambeckman  Год назад +26

    Watching this video really made me appreciate the little things we have on Android especially much more granular and finer controls. Holy shit Apple really made iOS users jump thru a lot of hoops just to get their desired look. They don't want users to have an identity of their own but rather be sheep to a flock. Something that can be as simple is so tedious on iOS I can't imagine how many iOS users actually gave up customizing their iPhones even before they started.
