Hi sam, I was wondering when the next iPhone Home Screen setup is coming for iOS 16. I enjoyed this one so much that I copied it and put it onto my phone and it hasn’t carried across well with the new update.
This is fantastic! I don't have an iPhone, but do plan to switch when the new one comes out in a few months. I've done a lot of this stuff already on my previous iPhone, but new to the whole light/dark mode automation. Personally, it's not for me, I prefer the minimal look, but I have a problem with switching wallpapers daily 😅. It's 2022, not sure why Apple hasn't just given users more customization with the homescreen. More Android users would flock over I think.
This is truely one of the most intriguing videos I’ve watched in a long time about apple and iPhone. You showed me how much I can customise and I felt empowered because of it, I love this shit I’m so excited to try it
This video was recommended to me by RUclips and boy am I glad I watched it. I didn’t know that you could customize iOS that much and I followed your guide. But I also found an interest in learning to use shortcuts, be creative and find new way to further personalize iOS to my needs. Thank you so much for this. And also for those awesome icons and backgrounds. Bought both of them and I love them !!
@@chriswilson4962 i had the same problem and I realized that I need to use an iOS light background from the background collection of Sam and be in light mode and an iOS dark background and be in dark mode when I wanna change using the « focus mode » trick. Also you need to turn off the « dark mode darkens … » options in the wallpaper menu.
I didn’t go as far as you did but you definitely inspired me to tweak a few things! First of all I bought and love your brush wallpaper pack! And second I also started using the blank widgets and created an automation to automatically switch the wallpapers when the appearance changes! Thanks so much for your tutorial!
I’ve always had android and loved customizing my Home Screen. Since switch to Apple cuz of work I miss doing that. All these steps are to much work. I give applause to those who have the patience for doing this.

I love the idea of automatically switching between and dark modes. Would it be possible to include a third mode, say for work? Maybe a little too ambitious considering the limitations of iOS.
I just bought the wallpaper pack, but it doesn’t work with iPhone 14 pro! Let me clarify, the principle still works but the transparency app doesn’t cater for iPhone 14 yet!
Hey been a fan of your vids for a while! Your Palette app is marvellous, its so clean and premium feeling But just a thought, It would be cool if you could make an iOS version so that people can share their set-ups for inspiration and maybe even able to download the wallpapers that they feature?
The current problem for iOS 16 is that in shortcut app the function for ‘set wallpaper’ is outdated, ie. Only caters for iO5 and below. With the way wallpaper is created in iOS 16 I imagine a function in shortcut to allow you to just select a pre created lock and Home Screen set up. That way you would have remove any blur/filters settings on the Home Screen wallpaper etc. I think an alternative is to use focus modes via shortcut as you can control which wallpaper from that option. @sam.beckman this is one to consider for a tutorial 😉
Thanks for the video! I purchased your Wallpaper and Icon pack and followed your instructions. Since I am new to this and have never worked with Shortcuts before, I had to watch multiple times in certain places, but finally was able to succeed even with the Change theme automation. My home screen now looks really simple and elegant!
I use Nova Launcher on Android and it has made it so i have all important information on my Home Screen. Aside from iMessage, I just can’t find a good enough reason to go back to Apple
the wallpaper looks in the video black, but the dock is grey in the night mode. You have to see the dock in the wallpaper. How do you solve the problem or is the wallpaper just grey
I’ve been trying for over 24 hours. the Transparent Icon shortcut says unrecognized screen size and suggest I switch from zoomed to standard but I am on standard. Help?
I thought it was a tutorial from the IOS 15 default settings, it turns out to be using a bunch of apps for screen setup. It's now bad, it's just not as I expected it to be. Anyway, good video and very insightful!
Thanks for this, Sam! I purchased your Brush and Mountain wallpaper pack. I'm hesitant to buy the monochromatic icon pack because it only includes 50 plus icons. I hope you'll add more soon. Keep up the excellent work!
This just proves how customization freedom offers android, you can do this and a lot more so easily and with one or maybe two apps and a couple of minutes.
Sam, I want to get rid of this tiny little shadow pillar thing that is directly under the middle of each widget, what is that and how can i get rid of it
Can apple do customization on the caller and message ringtone?im planning to buy one but I just need to know that first and wait for the 14 series release..
