Agree entirely with you Frank. Town clearly punching above their weight, although without any hint of disgrace. I really doubt if dealings in the January transfer market will make a big difference at this stage. It will be no bad thing for Town to be relegated, taking with them the parachute money, and allow this group of predominately young talented players to improve and gain more experience together under the unsackable McKenna before returning to the Premiership with a more solid and experienced team.
I am not convinced Jack. I think some will leave but if McKenna really wants to re-invent himself then another promotion as winners of the Championship is a good starting point.
Hi Frank. I agree 100% with your analysis. I think the premier league is too tough for us. Although we fought hard today but for once again our keeper made a terrible mistake. Hope for better upcoming results.
The Premier League was always going to be a massive challenge but it is even harder than that for us now Insane and unless we can grind out some home wins, then we have no chance of survival.
For us, Frank, i think we are still in the building process for the premier league, so i am just taking it game by game and forget our position , and if we do go down, so be it. I will support ITFC in whatever division they are in. Take care ☮ mate, l❤love to Rung
I was never convinced we would get over the line because this sort of thing happens too often, Andy. We have dropped 15 points from winning positions so far this season. If we hadn't, we would have found ourselves in 5th place in the table.
I have said it for some time our business in the summer transfer window was questionable, it is clear that the team/squad are giving 100% in terms of effort and commitment, however, we lack the real quality to win enough games to survive. I cant see many players wanting to join us in January and I’m afraid to say that relegation is looking inevitable. For the first time in his tenure I thought KM took far too long to make the substitutions, it was clear to see that Delap was absolutely knackered after 55-60 minutes. As for Muric another awful decision to add to his increasing collection, he just does not instill confidence. KM is not afraid to drop/rest outfield players and now he needs to make the right decision next Saturday and bring back Walton.
I agree Shaun. Walton deserves his chance again and he did little wrong against Liverpool. What does Aro Muric bring to the table? He has lots of height but is far often behaving like his feet are drying in cement and when he does race out to address an attack, he is not quick enough to make an impact. How I miss Hladky. If he is available in January we should try and get him back. Mckenna made some strange decisions again and as you suggest, Delap was knackered with more than thirty minutes left but it took our manager until the 81st minute. We are short on strikers and it shows.
Good attitude as always Karl but it seems as if we already need a miracle to stay up. If we do, then we will probably need at least 7 more wins from our last 23 games.
Overall a real feeling of gloom descended over me after this one. I thought we had managed to hold on for a 1-0. Agree with all the comments, but I’m going to try and enjoy whatever we can still do this season in the premier league
We have to Andy. McKenna will not have given up, so nor should we.He hinted that it was one very poor individual error that cost us yesterday, so we can expect to see Christian Walton back for Wolves.
Muric, right back, and an under-par Morsy, not good today. Taylor looked afraid, Delap was avoiding a red card and looked injured. Omari holds the ball too long , I could continue but we are a top championship side playing way above our belt.
Feel so sad for you as a pompey fan. You are getting so close to getting greats results but slipping up near the end. You can do this Frank. We in same position. Too early to make a decision. Up the tractor boys. PUP!
Oh dear Frank we find a way to throw away the points. Muric makes great saves but is error prone and we can't afford that in our position. He is not as good as Hladky and he can't get in the Burnley team who must be laughing all the way to the bank. I can't see anyone of premier class signing on a permanent in our position probably going to have to be loans
Yes, Trevor. Things are looking decidedly bleek. Hladky wanted to stay but we would not give him the three year deal he had requested. This was a monumental error of judgement on our part. Aro Muric is a Matteo Sereni two!
Up The Town ( We Must Drop Muric ) he has cost us points a lot of already this season Championship Here We Come back to I really hope not but get him out the goal and we will WIN games at home and away COYB
I cannot see where our next win is coming from after Wolves, and on current form we will do well to get anything there as well JD, but we must try to brush ourselves down and move on.
We look very likely to go down now Frank. You can't give away games like that and expect to stay up. Very disappointing and a tad surprising after last season.
If Kieran Mckenna had not delayed signing his contract Graham, then he might just have brought in better quality players than say, Muric, Ogbene and Philips.
He was obviously hedging his bets wasn't he? It looked likely that a bigger club would have come in for him. I wonder if it will affect his chances of managing a bigger club if we are relegated?
He has effectively done a Burley in his second season in the Prem. With homegrown players and relative unknowns taking us up to 5th in our first season back in the top flight, Burley then offloaded and replaced them with expensive, overpaid players like Finidi George. He could still run 100 meters in 11 seconds, but not with the ball. McKenna has let the money go to his head and if he had not dawdled for so long before resigning, he might not have needed to panic buy Robert; this is another reason why we have been left looking toothless.
Muric is a calamity.
Agreed Michael.

McKenna will be off if we get relegated, as will a number of those talented youngsters. Davis, Delap & Hutchinson will almost certainly all leave.
I’m not sure if KM will be off, at the moment his reputation is decreasing - only 1 win in 15 and he spent £100 million!
I suspect that is what is likely to happen Brian.
I am not convinced Jack. I think some will leave but if McKenna really wants to re-invent himself then another promotion as winners of the Championship is a good starting point.

The same applies, Greg. Up or down, we support the Town!
I was thinking wow frank will be getting excited looking like Ipswichs first. 3 point's, of the season
.
I was never convinced we would get over the line because this sort of thing happens too often, Andy. We have dropped 15 points from winning positions so far this season. If we hadn't, we would have found ourselves in 5th place in the table.

Keep the faith frank....believe..we can still survive...up the town 🙏.. 👍

I agree with the goalkeeper time to change and give Walton a go.
When will McKenna learn that Muric is only good at one thing, and that is getting teams relegated!
Gormless goalkeeper, has to be dropped. Morsey poor. Relegation looms.😢
Muric was poor again and there is always a mistake waiting to happen. Christian Walton must come back, Michael!
Muric, right back, and an under-par Morsy, not good today.
Taylor looked afraid, Delap was avoiding a red card and looked injured.
Omari holds the ball too long , I could continue but we are a top championship side playing way above our belt.
That sums it up perfectly, Mike. We look like a Championship side who are trying to punch above our weight.
Keep calm and carry on kieran mckenna blue army 💙 up the town
I like you resoluteness Jem. It is far easier to be critical than supportive at this time but good on you for trying mate.
@BeingFrankOnIpswichTown-jt2my hurting 😢
Me too Frank ...Muric ,I'd made my mind up at City with him, liability. 30 mins excellent after that poor ,gave them too much possession I'm afraid .
And Muric was not only time wasting when we were leading but also when we were losing! He is not up to it.
Drop muric how many times!!!!
When will the penny finally drop for McKenna though Paul. He is an expensive waste of space.
Feel so sad for you as a pompey fan.
You are getting so close to getting greats results but slipping up near the end.
You can do this Frank. We in same position.
Too early to make a decision. Up the tractor boys. PUP!
Thank you Loka. I have a friend who is a Pompey fan so I am rooting for you too mate!
Absolutely no hope of staying up. Just the spectacle of big teams coming to Portman Road until May which it's all about I suppose.
Just big games to pack out Portman Road with very little hope of victory. It is so depressing rockthegorilla.
Only watched the 1st half ( had an early start today) and thought Ipswich looked good .
In the first 30 minutes, we were on top JakJim but goals win games, and we are not scoring enough.
Got to get rid of the keeper or get another proven Prem goalie in.
No sentiment.
No bullshit.
Gotta act in Jan.
Kind regards,S 🎅
Agreed, Stephen.

I am in complete agreement Brent.
Not looking good Frank what more can I say ! Up the town !
I cannot see where our next win is coming from after Wolves, and on current form we will do well to get anything there as well JD, but we must try to brush ourselves down and move on.

Yet again no settled starting 11 , some players start one week and not even on bench next game
You need continuity Darren and with so many team changes we have no chance of accomplishing it.
@ wish he would settle a bit , It will come
I would let him waste anymore on players

Ugh.
Yes.
I hope mr blobby isnt in goal on saturday!
LOL! Very funny that one, Paul!
Sorry its not good enough the players mckenna brought in are not premier players I hate saying this it's time for mckenna to go
What on Earth are you talking about? And McKenna will probably be going whether we stay up or not.
How many times has that keeper done clangers!
Bloody drop him!
He should not have deliberated as he did when he extended his contract Robert. That cost Ashton a lot of valuable time.
Don't be idiotic
Not sure why the boss brought on two attackers when we needed to defend the last ten minutes , even muric didn't want to defend
That was a strange one, I admit cheapdvdstore.
