    The Bathurst caribou herd has suffered a dramatic decline in numbers from a high of roughly 470,000 in the mid-1980s to a low of about 6,240 today.

      Thanks for pointing this out! I think an aspect I missed in this video was providing an overview of the diversity of caribou herds in Canada and the unique challenges they all face. There’s also meats are certainly herds that are seeing more population challenges than others. Thanks for watching and filling in this gap

    I'm pretty sure the Selkirk Herd has gone locally extinct from what habitat they had remaining in Washington and Idaho. It's disappointing.

    Ironically, much of that paper is flushed down toilets.

      A lot of habitat loss is for avoidable and unnecessary reasons
