If i plug the airpod max into my gaming pc, can i use them without turning on the headphones? I'll use the lightning cable to 3.5 mm jack and connect to my pc. Do the headphones need to be turned ON for listening, or can it be turned OFF? My sony headphone connect to my pc via a 3.5mm jack, and it doesn't matter if they are off or on, it's works both ways.

you dont even have the possibility to turn them off except there in there case. So even when you pluged them via jack into your pc theyre still on, you can notice that because you still have NC and transparency mode

Disable the microphone, sounds gets terrible if you also use the AirPods microphone.

IKenKaneki Bro, IF possible check if any other Bluetooth Headset connects to your Windows PC or not. Also check the AirPods Max is connecting with any other device or not, If both works fine but only have problem with each other, Reset AirPods, and restart your PC then try to connect them it can fix the issue.☺️
