Man, you deserve a lot of more views, likes and everything! I am Czech myself that every year visits Prague and you said everything correctly! Good job!
Thank you so much for this video. My husband and I will be going to Prague next May and this is a timely video as we will be doing public transport and walking only! so helpful.
Thank you for all of your incredible videos on Prague. They have really helped me plan my trip to Prague and book accommodation. Keep up the good work :)
To be honest, exactly 6 years ago my girlfriend and I were those tourists using trams in Prague without paying for them. We didn't know how to do it, but we also didn't bother. I went well. As soon as you released the video, I shared it with her, and only now we can be aware of what we got rid of. Nash & Tereza, there's so much generosity in the learnings you share! Can you imagine finishing at least 6 (x2) years of ignorance with one single video?! That's public service! I am going to move from Lisbon to Brno in February 2023 and have been watching your channel as much as I can. For sure, it was way easier to take this decision and prepare for the journey with your support videos. Thank you so much for your insights; I deserve you all the best!
It's great to hear that you've been enjoying our content and that it's been helpful as you prepare to move to Brno. We appreciate your support and we hope to continue providing useful and informative videos for our viewers. Thank you again for watching and we wish you all the best in your new journey!"
At 0:39 secs u have shown us a ticket dated 17 nov 2022 with time 17:27 stamped. I think this ticket was prevalidated when u bought it. Maybe from the yellow machines. Am i correct ? Btw- the quality and content of this video is excellent.
Thanks to you Nash and Tereza You guys have help a lot with your videos about living in Prague my name is Kingsley I will be moving to Prague next year for my diploma.
Thank you so much for watching our videos and for your kind words, Kingsley! We're happy to have been able to help you as you prepare to move to Prague
Isn't true that you have to pay for a separate ticket for the funicular, unless you have a 24 or 72 hour ticket? Also, isn't it true that you don't have to validate 24 or 72 hour tickets? Please clarify.
We will go there this summer and we have set up app and purchased a monthly pass for just 550kc... and we'll be there a few weeks... so I think really the best deal. I'd like to see it in action, so I hope it works well Also, I wanted to ask.. if we are bringing someone over 65 years of age... do they need anything, or just show a passport for no fee riding for seniors? Thanks and nice video!
As long as you have a valid pass its ok. The ticket inspectors have got a scanning tool to check your ticket. According to the website from the transport department, make sure the senior passenger has an ID to get the possibility to travel for free *Senior from 65 to 70 years* Prague - special price 0 CZK Seniors from 65 to 70 years of age can travel in Prague for free, if they have one of the following passes: - National identity card (only for European Union countries) - Passport pid.cz/en/discounts/#senior
A single person can carry paper tickets, and show to the inspector as needed, thats fine. According to PID Liticka app website FAQ, in that appliction you can activate multiple tickets at once from one account, and extra ticket can be for a fellow passenger. I could not find an answer for Pubtran app though.
You can use the same ticket within the time period on different transport modes. If you validate twice the same ticket, it automatically makes it invalid and you would be fined if stopped.
Hello, I saw in the yellow machine for buying tickets "BAGGAGE 20 CZK", Do we take also a ticket for each baggage ? Is it applicable for all sizes of baggages ?
You're supposed to buy one for each piece of luggage around the size of a suitcase or larger. If I recall correctly, the 1-3 day tickets give you a free single baggage pass. Either way, I'm saying "supposed to" for a reason. Most Czechs have no idea that this ticket exists.
Yes , that is sufficient. They accept "a document that is issued by a legal entity and contains the name, date of birth and a photo of the child (passport, ID, etc.)"
If you buy from the big yellow vending machines, shops or app. Yes, , , exception is when you buy from the tiny yellow phone looking machines where you dont need to You can tel if you need to validate by arrow on ticket pointing to the validation / stamping area
Very good, but as I lived in Prague for a long time, there is only one thing regarding tickets you should also know. When you get to the age of 65, travel in prague is free, just have a photo id, like a driving licence or passport to prove your age... hey hey all good....
Hi, Great info. I am planning to carry 2 suitcases (L×B×D = 55cm × 25cm × 15cm ) capacity of around 49 each and 1 backpack. Can I carry this in public transport. Specifically from airport via bus 119 and then tram 26. In case i need to buy lets say 3 tickets for luggage and 1 90 mins for me, what is the validaty of these 3 luggage tickets?
Ofcourse you can, why you wouldn't? I think you don't need special ticket not even for bike anymore, in the past yes, but not anymore. 55x25x15 cm is just a small suitcase, people carry much bigger things to public transportation.
For example in PID Liticka, you go to tickets tab, and there is an Activate button there. Do so 2 minutes before entering the transport (as there is a wait time before its valid)

Hope you enjoyed Prague. Thank you also for watching
@@NashTereza Thanks again for the advice in the video. What a city, loved it. Can't wait to back again. Four days is not enough.
This was the best of all the videos on this theme. It would be nice to see how the app tickets look, but otherwise VERY helpful. FOLLOWING

Howdy - your video is very informative. I plan to visit and possibly buy the 72-hour to experience your country:). Thanks for sharing!
I'm one of your fans from Nigerian African
I think it a great ideal that one ticket can be used on all transportation
Can we buy ticket inside the Tram train also ?
Or need to buy prior ?
Actually they introduced such machines, so cards are accepted inside nowadays too.
Thanks to you Nash and Tereza

Can you please do a vlog on affordable accommodation (hostels, Air B’n’Bs etc.) in Prague, if you haven’t already? 😊

This is great! 🙏
If you buy a 72hr ticket via the app do you need to validate still ?
I'll have to come to Prague very soon for my education do you have any useful tips regarding how to get by wisely when it comes to leaving an airport?
Of course , here is a full guide of the 3 best ways : ruclips.net/video/uOVNpRCRpNo/видео.html
Thankyou sir. That's useful.

Can a single adult carry 24, or 72-hour tickets for two adults? My daughter and I are traveling together and I purchased two tickets on my mobile app.

hi, was wondering if you are on the bus and get off and take a different bus or tram does the ticket need to be validated again? thanks so much!

@NashTereza Whether other country passport , will be agreed as valid ID for Kids Age? In Prague public transport..?
Yes , that is sufficient. They accept "a document that is issued by a legal entity and contains the name, date of birth and a photo of the child (passport, ID, etc.)"
@@NashTereza Thankyou
How many times do you need to stamp? Once or twice?
Once , if stamped twice it becomes invalid
Hello Nash, how about buying from the old machines, does the ticket require validation?

Is the 72h ticket valid throught all tariffs / zones of Prague?
yes ok for trams , buses and metro. It excludes regional buses going to the villages as that needs different ticket type
Thx

Ironic how "Invalidovna" station is not wheelchair friendly
over 60- half price
over 65- free!
Sorry, kind of strange with this added music to a tourist video showing Prague...
