I totally agree. I saw that many language learners are overwhelmed with enthusiasm and start using 5 or even more resources at once. Then, they become even more confused and eventually give up. I am glad that you touched upon this issue which is greatly overlooked. This variety of language learning resources definitely backfires in the wrong hands. :)

ey man i wanna let you know something :
i been watching a lot of your videos lately and i found them really helpful to say the least.
BUT i have to say, the improvement of quality from your videos from a couple years ago to now is INSANE. and also the length is really really great now. sometimes it was hard to understand and follow the video from start to end back in the day, as im sure you know by now.
so long story short xD .... i just wanted to tell you its only a matter of time now until you blow up on youtube the way you deserve to and please stay on it bro !!
maybe you should even redo some old but gold ones. just so people who discover you now will also get recommended these videos in the quality they are used to. =)
    sound : top
    camera : top
content : top (was always top)
    thumbnails : top.
luca : top top top top
all the best to you and your team (that you obviously got now) !!
you really inspired me in my approach and my goal of learning spanish and other languages.
im looking forward to booking a class with you one day or even meet you.
kind regards from Graz, Austria ! :)
    David

I spend 14 years in school failing to learn English, if I had a language coach that had gave me some guidance and knowledge I would have saved hundreds of hours and euros, if I knew what I know now on how to approach language learning.

I totally agree with you Luca there is a coach which i like very much named Aj Hoge he is also an american english native speaker and he always said that psychology is 80% of success and the other 20% is the method is how you do it unfortunately most people are always tired and bored nowadays to study and they are always using ineffective methods grammar rules and textbooks which i hate very much they dont help you learn at all.

kcor4 well, the thing is that he spent year after year of trial and error in order to get where he is at right now. Difference is that he can save you those years of effort and teach you what's the way to go in a couple sessions. I'm not saying that you NEED a coach, but his help can be really eye-opening

Difference is nowadays "you can do whatever you want" without spending money on a language coach.
That pile of money can be spent for traveling. Which is way better than a language coach.

      Damm!
I usually read post on a financial forum. There is a similar phrase that many entrepreteneurs say: do what i preach, but not what i do. This phrase is powerful in finance cause there is a lot of sh#t that are making more lying and stealing people dream with speech like this. Of course what he's saying is not the way he mastered at 8 or more languages. But, indeed, it could help learners to realize that having someone reminding you to learn can help to your target language.

Is it better to study only one language at once or can it study three at the same time. Because I want to learn Russian , Thai , Italian and french .
I'm currently very advanced in Thai but only writing and reading.

    • @mep6302

In my opinion, I think it could be better if you start with one language. Then if you feel your level is good, start with another one and try to maintain and improve the language(s) you already know

Nobody really needs anything. What I take from guys like Richard Simcott, Luca, Tom Donner and other famous polyglots is that they did and found the ways to learn the languages for themselves. Of course, having a master hand you down best practices and stuff is great, but not at all a need, and in fact a contradiction to what has been 'preached'. I can understand the actual need to make being a polyglot affordable, but I don't like this approach. There is no need to do anything in this world.
