Hopefully, this helps anyone out there who has questions about Pinpoint Pitching or at least gives you a clearer understanding of the mechanic. More MLB The Show 21 content coming so stay tuned!
If you're still doing MLB The Show content, you should 100% make a YT short with just the different traces for each pitch. I keep coming back to your video for each new MLB release to help me pick the traces I'm most familiar with.
Splitter is the pitch that I just can’t get the motion right, even when I do it properly... by the time I get the quarter circle from 9 to 12, it’s turning yellow and staying yellow, but feedback says I’m too fast regardless if I’m going fast or slow... any tips?
dude the only thing I want to know is how to slide step I have people abusing base stealing because its not shown how to slide step on pinpoint. HOW DO YOU DO IT
How long did it take you practicing Pinpoint Pitching? I practiced for about 30 minutes, and didn't do so well. Also, can Sony change batters sliding into first base. That hardly ever happens in baseball. It happens too often in this game.
It took me a few hours to get a hold of it and understand it fully. Once it clicks it goes. Just gotta do a little practice when you get a new pitcher.
why is it so hard to find a vid or timestamp just for the splitter. I pitch pinpoint on legend with good success but still don't understand how the splitter works. I just do what the thing tells me to do and it's always yellow and 25% accuracy. This is the first video that came up for "how to throw a splitter in mlb the show 21" and there isn't a splitter thrown lol
Not getting the game to the 20th so only judging what I’ve seen on stream.I can see improvements with gameplay but visually not so much. What you seeing?? Would you agree not a big difference from 2020?
Visually, not too much. On next gen there has definitely been an improvement to stadium fidelity, lighting, crowds, shading, everything stadium really. But everything else is minimal changes overall. So far though, personally, the graphics can kick rocks because the gameplay this year has actually vastly improved....so far.
@@MoreRespawn Agree gameplay is King & I am looking forward to playing on SeriesX. Still seeing disappearing grass textures when ball leaves the pitcher that I was expecting to be fixed for new hardware.

Question cause my only issue w/ it is when I try to play a friend on my console they can literally see what pitch I’m throwing

So much information in this video that was not explained elsewhere. THANK YOU. Now I actually want to get good at it
But how do you pitch the forkball/splitter? They are the only pitches I can’t get

When I figure out a splitter I will let you know. It is the one single pitch I can't get right that often.

Last time I played a baseball game was on a PS2. What happened to press X to throw lol
They actually have that too in this game lol
This is just a new mechanic.

When I figure out how to throw a splitter effectively every time I will let you know.
@@MoreRespawn that would be amazing

Yeah I hear ya there. There are some graphical things i wish was fleshed out overall as well.
Lol I love how they basically stole 2ks pitching mechanics from like 10 years ago
So it’s like the 2k baseball pitching style.
Essentially, with some more refined features.
I can’t get the timing whatsoever honestly I’ll just keep spamming ranked games
