Hi Karen! The milk glass compote was a fenton silver crest ruffled edge compote and sells for good $. They're coming back and people are buying them. That was a beautiful piece.
Hi, The piece that had the Tiffany look, has holes around the top which probably had chains that it hung from. Probably large could have been a light fixture or just something decorative. Lovely piece though! And I love your channel!!❤
I feel the same way about Whatnot. If I wanted to sell items at such a low price I can do that on Ebay and sometimes I do.😊 I am the same age as you and only sell on eBay as well. Sales have been great and honestly I think in part it may be because everyone jumped ship and went on Whatnot. Love your videos!
Moscow Mule and similar Vodka drinks are often served in copper mugs/cups. Many of them have a rustic or hand hammered look and vodka brand promotions on them. I currently have a large lot of shot glass size cups in my store.
The drink that goes in the copper cups is called a Moscow Mule. When you’re in the white aisle if you ever come across pottery that says ironstone the bottom that is going to go for good money. People who buy vintage items love those pieces!
Greetings from Queensland. Love your and Mellissas channels. Only recently discovered both. You are so blessed to have had both of your sweet daughters involved in your thrifting journey.
the cast iron kettle is used on top of wood stoves to add moisture to the air . I could see someone wanting that if they burn wood in your area for pick up, They are very expensive new
leaded glass hangs upside down from ceiling hook Big fern in the umbrella stand from India, thats cool! The color coding has to do with seasons and how long they have been hanging there, the tags rotate
Love the news that your Lisa will be able to list for you more days/week while winter landscape work is down. And yay ! You will be out buying more clothes and everything else. I like my clothes loose and thank you for buying the plus sizes.
I love how you have such a great relationship with your children, and they help you. I wish my daughter could help me but she lives in NYC and has an 8 month old. I tried to find Lisa on youtube but wasn't able to.
That umbrella stand is fabulous! Imagine fake tall flowers, or fill up the base with rocks and pot a real plant (in a separate pot), do the thing with fancy sticks that some people do
I loved it too. It would be great for anyone with a booth to display walking sticks, canes, large rolled up posters, and can you imagine it full of peacock feathers?
I've not purchased on Whatnot before, thus I don't have personal experience. I've read general Whatnot comments on other RUclipsr's channels about not getting product that is worthwhile from various sellers, as in sellers are clearing out junk. :( I've noticed other RUclips channels like the platform, however, I think this is because it creates interest in their channel. You and a small handful of channels on reselling are, from what I can tell, real resellers. The others are entertainment that are, IMO again, fooling the average person that they can make their fortune of easy money via reselling. Reselling is hard work and it, like other jobs, is something you have to love to do. Thanks for your channel. :) I have emulated many of your organizational techniques, it has helped me considerably with storage.
@@lavenderclothesline My very question!!! Nevertheless, it is quite the beautiful object! It's really gorgeous. So glad you picked it up - I would have, too.🤗 I'm having difficulty envisioning how the fixture can hold a bulb...??? May have to go Google it - my curiosity is killing me!
Fireking makes wonderful white bowls in a plain and swirl pattern. I have 8 Fireking bowls. Love them! The spout bowl is a part of a set and made by Pyrex for a Hamilton Beach mixer. I have the large white bowl!
The German nativity sells for 3l5.00 new on line. That is the kind of thing we purchase and my husband makes new parts for if they are profitable. Sooo cute.
Hi Karen, Happy to hear about your plan with Lisa. Also, the shade you bought has small holes evenly spaced around the open end -- those are for screws to attach it to maybe a ceiling light or something of that nature. Love the video.
Did you watch Dr. Lori last night? She was talking about doing a collab with other You Tubers. A couple of us requested you. You two would be great together!
love your new plans and loved this video.....selfishly glad you are sticking to ebay and here on yt...didn't want to go anywhere near whatnot!! haha....Great job Karen.
Moscow Mules- I have those copper mugs. I don’t drink much alcohol lately, but a ginger beer with a squeeze of lime, is very yummy. Makes me feel like I’m having a drink.
Goodwill saw you coming and after last weeks video of you giving them a no-no shame on you, they lowered their prices; after you leave the store, they will raise them back up again LOL!
Poshmark is the same way. I have found that if you need to make offers and offer lower shipping; you must ask a higher price to begin with to offset what you will net in the end. The tray is beautiful! I’ve had many request for the metal Persian Handpainted trays/ wall hangings.
I own that exact umbrella stand, I love it. It is only holding one umbrella currently but it fits the boho/industrial vibe of my home perfectly. You could use it for faux florals
Hey Karen!! I’m really happy for you that Lisa will be helping you list!! I’ve wanted to find someone that would help me list at some point in my eBay business!! I agree with you about Whatnot! It’s not worth my time, for the amount I earned after fees. But, it was fun to try. Also, loved the sign you found to hang by your desk! Have a great Monday!! ~Stephanie
Love your videos! It’s great to see you grabbing things at your GW for 2.99. Mine is pricing things that should be that price for 4.99 and up! It’s making me cringe… - I caught your whatnot show and you did great. I can imagine it’s only worth it if you’re getting things super low cost from the bins or yard sales
Maybe you are thinking of Stone Temple Pilots in the orange jacket? I am glad that your daughter is going to be able to help you list items. I am amazed at all that you are able to get done.
I absolutely love the way you change things up! You are my favorite you tuber to watch out of several .Some of the others are the same content different day boring! Can’t wait to see what you and your daughter come up with your new model.
Why did I think the title of your video had something to do with you & Roger getting married & combining your businesses? Lol. On a different note, I absolutely love the umbrella stand! It's beautiful! I'd probably put a potted plant in it (that's my excuse for everything:) or use it for a tall waste basket in a bathroom 😊
Mocow mule - one of my favorite drinks. That's awesome your daughter is going to help you start listing. I need one of those :) I'm so behind on listing. Enjoy the shopping too much.
I like your distinctive style of choosing wisely and sparingly and your organized business platform. I am not going to sell on ebay, still, I learn from your videos and wish you continued success! Love watching! 💗
I thought so too. Maybe run braided silk cords through the holes so it can hang and put a candle inside? Or no candle and just hang near a window so light shines through.
Hi there, the Mexican basket is for keeping tortillas warm. I have one in the kitchen right now. I place a thin kitchen towel inside and put my heated tortillas inside, works great.
That John Deere hat was vintage because the deer is landing rather than taking off it was a green and white hat that you totally didn't pay any attention to
@Carol Craven Thank you for that tidbit of information on the John Deere vintage hat. I did not previously know of the difference in the positions of the deer that you pointed out. Many thanks!
Rolling Cart: Now that I see it, I don't think I'd want to push that style cart around in your basement either. The companies that make the Metro style Shelves make good shelving products, but I find their carts to be lacking. The castors are too small, the carts are not rigid, so they flex and products (especially hardgoods) seem to vibrate off. They are better used in a stationary position like a kitchen island or shorter shelf. Personally, I use old high school A/V carts, from back when classrooms used overhead projectors and showed movies. Those carts were well built and solid, so the tube style TVs and video players rode around the halls and classrooms on them safely. Much larger castors, too.
For many years I worked with a local Brick and Mortar auction house, until I retired. We were the largest in the county, so we had the contract to dispose of items for the school district. Once or twice a year, we'd go to where the school district collected surplus items and hold a public auction. Carts, tables, the old wooden school chairs, shop class tools, etc would all be sold to the public. I would often buy carts and storage cabinets, while there.
You had mentioned about the inconsistency in pricing the polos also in a previous video and I’m perplexed. I live in Los Angeles and all s/s shirts are one price, l/s are one price, pants one price, dresses one price and so on. Nothing is individually priced so I can see inconsistencies in pricing can happen when Goodwill prices each item. Frustrating.
@Eva Blada I believe that the "Polo" shirts you're referencing were actually Ralph Lauren long-sleeved shirts that Karen was interested in but GW had overpriced them bc they were a well-known and desirable name brand. She thought that ALL long-sleeved shirts should be priced the same - and I totally agree!
The polystyrene basket made in Mexico could be for keeping tortilla breads warm
For sure ... Family has one.
I have the same candy dish in pink.
Hi Karen!
The milk glass compote was a fenton silver crest ruffled edge compote and sells for good $. They're coming back and people are buying them. That was a beautiful piece.
I was telling her to buy it, so I could buy it from her!! 😂
I love the Fenton ruffled pieces and buy them wherever I come across them.
I would have loved that.
Love that hand painted tray
Hi, The piece that had the Tiffany look, has holes around the top which probably had chains that it hung from. Probably large could have been a light fixture or just something decorative. Lovely piece though! And I love your channel!!❤

I feel the same way! I’m not going to try something. eBay is working good for us.
I'm older and I only sell on ebay. I tried Mercari, and it was a waste of time.
Use the umbrella stand for some tall sunflowers. My daughter just got some for a wedding she's designing and used a tall bucket about this size.

The cast iron tea pot is filled with water and placed on top of a wood burning stove to humidify the air so it’s not too dry
The wood and copper piece is for books. I have the exact one and use it for my cookbooks.

That step stool is to get up on a very high off the floor bed,
the basket is for hot tortillas, and the stained glass shade is a hanging light pendant missing the flush to ceiling fixture.

The stain glass is a hanging thing there are holes for the chain
Yes but where does the light bulb hang?

Karen, you are so sweet, friendly, and kind to others out in the stores, I can see how you met your man sourcing!
Love that Goodwill on Rt 30! Took my granddaughter to Dutch Wonderland and had to stop and shop in there first.
Always fun shopping with you. Tell Lisa I'm waiting for an update on her home. Haven't seen her in awhile.
She no longer does RUclips

The umbrella stand could hold wrapping paper.

Moscow Mules- I have those copper mugs. I don’t drink much alcohol lately, but a ginger beer with a squeeze of lime, is very yummy. Makes me feel like I’m having a drink.
Milk glass is a thing for me. It all started 50 years ago when my Grandmother gave me a pair of hobnail milk glass bud vases.
Goodwill saw you coming and after last weeks video of you giving them a no-no shame on you, they lowered their prices; after you leave the store, they will raise them back up again LOL!
That lampshade hangs from chains.
Thank you for showing the labels in better lighting. Very much appreciated!
Congratulations 🎉 on getting Lisa for the winter season ❄️
Yes the copper goblets are for the Moscow Mule drink.

I was born and raised in Mexico and the basket with styrofoam is for keeping tortillas hot! :)
Thank you Karen, you are a hard worker 👏🥰
The basked made in Mexico is for keeping the tortillas warm.
I love the twinkle lights!!!!

Moscow mules with fresh cranberries, nice during the holidays
That shade hangs from chains. It covers a ceiling light.
Sounds like an exciting winter coming up for you! You couldn’t ask for a better worker than your daughter. 😊
Maybe you are thinking of Stone Temple Pilots in the orange jacket? I am glad that your daughter is going to be able to help you list items. I am amazed at all that you are able to get done.
Karen, you are a hoot. I laughed out loud when you asked if IKEA still serves meatballs.😂
I see that lamp shade(?) had holes in the edge. Possibly it had chains to hang edge up under a light bulb or fixture.
I absolutely love the way you change things up! You are my favorite you tuber to watch out of several .Some of the others are the same content different day boring! Can’t wait to see what you and your daughter come up with your new model.

Moscow Mule. They’re from Walmart mostly and the good ones are copper INSIDE.
I don't know much about Whatnot but it seems like niche sellers do best on the platform.
love your videos, that was a tortilla warmer.
You are gorgeous. Those fake eyelashes do not do you justice
Love your videos and all you bring. Love your taste in hard goods
Why did I think the title of your video had something to do with you & Roger getting married & combining your businesses? Lol.

Use the umbrella holder as a planter?
My friend left what not and thank u for all u and I learn so much. Love u
The basket with the flowers on the top are for tortillas at your dinner table
The Tiffany Glass is a ceiling fixture. That cast iron kettle is at least $45
You needed a step stool to get the step stool!
Thanks for your content!
😂👍
Mocow mule - one of my favorite drinks. That's awesome your daughter is going to help you start listing. I need one of those :) I'm so behind on listing. Enjoy the shopping too much.
If I didnt sell it, I would use that tin umbrella stand to hold long sales items like golf clubs or rolled canvas
Yes, Moscow mule drinks were big for a while
I am happy you have decided not to go the Whatnot route, to me it is time consuming for sellers and buyers. Always love your videos
The umbrella holder I would put a dried weed arrangement in it and put it into a corner in the house.
I like your distinctive style of choosing wisely and sparingly and your organized business platform. I am not going to sell on ebay, still, I learn from your videos and wish you continued success! Love watching! 💗

That lampshade looking thing has holes in it for chains! Might be a hanging candle holder!
Hi Karen, what a great plan with you/Lisa, it sounds like it will be successful! Cheers, Pat

It’s listed in my ebay store 😁
It looks to me like the stained glass shade needs chains so it hangs up
