The tab for a cause link doesn't work, though
Thanks for catching that, looks like the URL is case sensitive, but it's been fixed now! Clicking the link at the top of the description or typing it should both work now 😊
Minute earth is preety cool :DD
Can you make a video on why it doesn't snow in some states anymore... like Deleware bc I miss the snow
OH crap i like winter
Me, being a tropical country dweller:
"Who is winter?"
Depressed, cold, deadly and dark, or in other words, best season of the year
Me, living 650 miles away from the North Pole: "Who is summer?"
Is it edible?
Me, being a penguin who lives in Illinois: oH BOY
Is it a plant or something l
My great aunt lives in both hemispheres and changes every 6 months to always be in summer... she's 93 and doing great
For all those saying "just go tropical" where do you think she passes spends autumn? Jajajaja
I like the cold
Wow! You can do that?!
glad this story has a happy ending!
You know, she could just live in the tropics and safe herself the trips
@@wave1090 big truth

Most wonderful time of the year
honestly i'm just waiting to die for real

Haha i want to die im so quirky
This video is a true meaning of
"Winter is coming ".
Dean Martin: Let it snow, let it snow, LET IT SNOW!
MinuteEarth: Are you sure about that
Well, he died 25 Dec, so how did that work out for Dean?
Clarification question: ~1:34 mark, you say that winter deaths are 30,000/day more than summer deaths, but the graph shows it as 30,000.day more than the average daily deaths over the year. Thank you as always for the video pairing down complex ideas into simpler ones.
How do trees feel once winter is over?
Releafed.
Nice one
Here is the door🚪
The door is on your left.
Hehe i love it
Your joke is Intreeguing......
I’m good here in Australia it’s ALWAYS HOT the only difference is in summer we’re on fire
relatable
here in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, we are on fire all year long, and in summer its pure melting point
From Thailand, we have the same issue lol The common joke here is "We have 3 seasons: Hot, Hotter, and Hottest".
Well, exactly zero winters have killed me so I think I'm good
Wow same
Me too!
It only takes one...
Statistically, you are immortal.
what if you were killed but you forgot about it
Poor Grim Reaper has so much work he's developed bags under his eyes even though he doesn't have skin

"For Death, it's also pretty grimm"
Dang that's some cold pun😂😂😂
Step 1: Live at the equator
Step 2: You are now immortal
But i wanna see winter i never experience Winter
@@rencelen5186 Eh winter's really overrated, my dude. I wish I could have summer all the time 😂
@@feynstein1004 no! I love winter! Unfortunately it doesn't really snow here, but still...
@@emilia1911 Well, to each their own, I guess
Congratulations, you have avoided flu and pneumonia. What's that fever that comes back every 3 days? Oh, you just have cerebral malaria.
summer people seeing this: now see that’s why i never liked winter 😱😱😰😰😰
winter people seeing this: well at least i’m going to die happy i guess 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
*Siberia based laughter.*
Jokes on you i like both
I'm more of a winter person, I hate summer. But if I had to choose a season, I'd choose Autumn... I love rain, wind and cold days.
Also my birthday is in Autumn, but that isn't a real reason.
(I know this isn't really related to the comment, but... yeah)
Fall and spring people: Just one more reason to hate both of these cursed seasons of extremes
Meanwhile I like all the seasons except spring:
Fun fact about tab for a cause: only around 30% of their income is donated to charity according to their own financial reports. And the charities they donate to also have their operational costs (not as ridiculous as tab for a cause's 70% but still), that means very little of the ad revenue that you generate goes to "a cause".
TL; DR: don't voluntary install adware on your devices.
I agree with you 100% because in the last winter there were 2 deaths back to back relating to strokes one was a teenager and another was kinda of an old man may they rest in piece
"Why you're likely to die in winter"
Me: because of the sub-zero temperature?
Not everyone experiences a sub-zero winter. Most of the world's population doesn't.
Me: *spams ctr+t to donate a lot*
i tried that, it only loads a few of the tabs ;-;
I know I am supposed to obtain knowledge by watching this video, but after watching it, all I can think is "Poor death, give the guy a break!"
Minute Earth, thank you so much, honestly. I’m sure that I speak on behalf of most when I say that I am really grateful for the effort you put into your videos. In these uncertain times, its nice to know that you’re out there, providing us with a sweet relief from the madness. I’m not going to claim I’m an og to this channel ,I’ve only been here since 1.5 mill, but I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. You’re an inspiration to us all. You’ve inspired me to also try to make some videos, they’re not anything special but I hope that I can follow in your footsteps to hopefully inspire more people. I’d appreciate it if you could give me some feedback on what I’ve made so far, to offer a small nugget of wisdom to help me grow, and to become better than I currently am. So I say again, thank you. Sincerely.
Me who stays home during the winter: *I don’t have such weaknesses*
Why would a goddess have to worry about disease oh wait didn't she get sick once useless
@@USSAnimeNCC- Lol
1:18 Speaking of car crashes, today in the same crossroad 2 cars crashed in different time. One crashed in the morning and other one around 3 ~ 4 pm. The first one looks like it was hit from the side, the other one crashed in to a kiosk and managed to destroy traffic lights (this might be a new record). I don't think anyone died, but the damage is there.
This is another reminder why people need to slow down and be more patient.
That idea of Death traveling for the winter has now made me envision Death as a migratory bird.
I always assumed I was more likely to die in winter. Reasons i considered:
-Freezing to death
-Slip and fall accidents on uneven packed snow or ice
-Car accidents from cars sliding across ice
-Eaten by a stray dog that I can't outrun because I'm on foot rather than on a bicycle.
-Can't see well because glasses frosted over so less warning to react to hazards (see sliding cars and sray dogs)
I didn't even consider heart attack and stroke risk.
This did wonders for my health anxiety, thanks a lot minute earth.
Yay, winter is coming!!! I can’t wait to see the end of me :D
Jokes on you, i live in tropical country
Me too
Same here xD
me too
*laughs in two seasons*
Same (but i wanna experience winter in here)
1:57 "...at least 20 open"
That's cute. Currently, I have over 1300 open, spanned across 9 windows and multiple tab stacks. Most tabs are hibernated though, but they're still there.
MinuteEarth teaches me more than my school
Grim Reaper at the end of the video: "I hope your happy"
I work in newspapers. It's a known phenomenon that obituaries dry up a little bit between thanksgiving and christmas... and then we get a lot of them in the new year. Bunch of old people trying really hard to not ruin Christmas.
Bruh the illustrations are looking much much cooler now ngl
Why do I love your Death Character? He’s so cute. Give death a break, he’s overworked. Solution? DONT DIE!
This death was much better than the previous one, I'm taking everything, he looks good, he doesn't feel like he is going to suck my soul out and thus much more friendly ❤️. Anyways, love from India 🇮🇳.
No the man needs a break
He’s really tired , so he’s less likely suck your soul
Someone:dies
Reaper: rushes to there
Another person: dies in another continent
Reaper: *visible frustration
I live in Ecuador at 2950masl, here's always a nice and warm 11.5C all the time. It's basically like being in spring all the time.
I don't usually press "Like" on videos. But Tab For A Cause as a sponsor I'll "Like" any day of the week.
You should look up their financial reports. Only around 30% of their income is donated to charity. And the charities they donatealso have their operational costs, that means very little of the ad revenue that you generate goes to "a cause".
Minuteearth: if you, like me, open up way to many tabs
Me: looks at number of tabs I have (100+ tabs open)
Poor death
I'll be sure to live forever so that I'll never add to the work load!
That's possibly the most adorable depiction of death that exists.
Damn, I’ve never felt bad for death before
Beauty doesn’t last forever but a beautiful personality does.

You forgot to account for the fact that the northern hemisphere has many more people than the Southern Hemisphere, meaning the Reaper *does* get a summer break.
Just a tip for those of us with too many tabs: you can group them together by right clicking on the tab and assigning it, and if you enable the experimental setting in chrome://flags, you can even collapse them for far more room!
0:45 Death looks so cute for some reason
Me, in front of my heater 24x7: _"I don't think so."_
What about snakes.
There are more snake related deaths in the summer.
Also people spread germs more in winter because people have runny noses from the cold.
There's also counts of deaths from swimming due to water-borne illness and pathogens.
Congrats on making death a charming subject with the paper work analogy
!!! *Dark story warning* !!!
I had a school staffmember Mrs Winter she oofed in winter. We were all very sad. :(
Office worker: I EXPERIENCE MORE STRESS THAN YOU DO!
Teachers: NO I DO!
Death: *amatuers*
because every summer i get a massive depression since it is way to hot to day ANYTHING, even doing nothing is to much... so while i stay at home cursing at the damn sun in summer, i am active and happy and full of energy in the winter and actually do stuff.
*every second a person dies*

My mood right now: minute earth and something to eat
It is late night in India so please release your videos at time 🙏🎉🎉
Loved the reference to Grim from Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy!
Winter is coming...
Germans: "first time?"
Slavs: "no, just haven't died in winter yet."
People who live in Siberia and alaska: "wait, you guys are still alive?"
Researchers in antarica: "always has been."

I love these short and sweet videos they often get shown in my science lessons and are really Gucci and fun to what he and give us loads of info
Good work
You could also use 2 fingers on the "add a new tab" and go to the "add tab group" to hide all those tabs
this channel is super amazing and good i learned more and more things each day
At least Grim got enough time to take a break for eight years to be in his own cartoon with Billy and Mandy
Underated af
Death does catch a break. Only a small fraction of earth's population live in the southern hemisphere where it gets cold enough for long enough to be called winter. Most of the southern hemisphere only sees dry season and rainy season for being near the tropics.
Edit: Percentage of human population in the entire southern hemisphere: 12%
Mostly between the equator and the tropic of Capricorn. So with a few exceptions cold is a matter of altitude (like living in the Andes).
I thought CGP Grey was making this until I noticed the voice
Someone be like:
"Bruh just stop dying 🤣"
News, death rate drops to 0%
0:31 "we're all packed together indoors"
coronavirus: "let me help you with that"
You forgot an important detail. Although when is summer in the northern hemisphere we have winter in the southern hemisphere, in the south most countries are much closer to the equator and few inhabited regions have very low temperatures, and very few countries have snow. And south hemisfhere inhabited areas have much more forests that regulates the temperature throught moisure. This way we have lesser impacts of winter on health.
Nice sponsor at the end. I hope you can reap(er) the benefits.
Poor death. If I was his boss, I would give him 1 year vacation. He is working For hundreds of thousands of years and never has a day off.
Thank goodness I'm living in Tge Philippines (Tropical Country)
Although it's true that during northern summer it's winter on the southern hemisphere, far fewer people live there.
Video comes out on summer for most of the RUclips audience, to avoid worrying them...
Me, who lives on the southern hemisphere, in a cold winter day: :'(
Someone's dying as you read this lol
Some poor soul other there got hit by truck kun
I died while watching this video
First time I feel bad for the Grim Reapper...
That cheerful music though
This makes me feel bad for death
Look, the Reaper just transfers the souls to their next stage of existence. He's not the paperwork kind a guy; The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy shoulda taught you that.
You made me feel sympathy for death
*how?*
Who knew death had so much paper work
Death: *is tired and overworked*
Sucide rates: *drops to 0%*
Reasons I know before watching
-Cold

Yeah, northern and southern hemispheres have winters at different times, but most people live in the north, the south is full of oceans, duhhhh
Decent video. Thanks for uploading!
Ummm if bugs that cause pneumonia like Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila, and Influenza survive better in the cold (say -3 Degrees C) better than in the warm (25 Degrees C), how can they stand the nice hot lungs of a human at 37 degrees C? I know the data clearly says infections of all those bugs increase during the winter and one of the complications of all of them is pneumonia. But can someone explain how they can like the cold weather and still like our lungs?
Sooo does grim reaper hate winter and death overall? More deaths mean more work for him...
Still doesn’t matter I like winter because mosquitos don’t exist
Im the same
Hey, winter is dangerous and you should value your life more! Come to us, mosquito is one thing, but we have a still-alive-after-its-head-was-chopped-for-days flying cockroach, hard-to-identify poisonous plant, can-eat-you-a-whole snake, and delicious food!
@@Durio_zibethinus ? I understand that you should value your life more part but what's the other part is there something I'm missing

*I CAN RELATE*
You predicted the corn a virus future, shit man I bow down to you all HAILLL this RUclips channel love your work!
me who lives in tropical Country: *WHY IS WINTER?*
Because of the tilt in earths rotation axis relative to the ecliptic.
I like the high level of empathy with death
This should be a video you make on the first day of spring. I'd feel better knowing I just survived winter. Now I realize that I'm potentially fucked! 😅
Well, that's great to know. With winter coming up and the coronavirus pandemic still raging.
If I was prone to paranoia, I would think this video is just an alibi for the MinuteEarth team’s plan to kill me and make it look like a heart attack
Remember that we're approaching winter right now
Ahh, my nose is like a gun when it’s winter, i like cold weather but my body seem to not like it
He must have missed 2019-20s winter pneumonia and flu season, there certainly were not any hardly reported
1:48 death: Damn those humans! Can't they take care of they're own death's for once??? I can barely remember my last vacation back in the Jurassic!
