the best part about this show is the none interruptive way its conducted. the host at most times give the guest all the time to speak out their minds and issues with no pressure to chime in or direct them to what they know we might want to hear. real class.
I cannot stand Alai but I support him on this. Let's the same hammer be used for mosques, churches, matatus, boda bodas etc.
What a NOISY nation we have become! The once serene rural areas not spared the cacophony either. You build a mansion and some noisy protestant church two plots away wakes you at 7am screaming till 4pm!!!
In this day and age who needs to be yelled at in some foreign language blaring from a loudspeaker five times a day ndio aende maombi? This rubbish gotta stop!
their should be no clubs or bars inside residential places only on commercial designated areas. also near schools are banned. before like kilimani area there were those small shopping centers where you find butchery, grocery store and other small stores and may be two pubs. that's ok but not inside houses or apartments.
Please close down Calypso Lounge Ole Dume Road - Kilimani, As home owners we don't sleep at night because of the horrible noise
Really good work by the 2 MCAs.
I had to move out of Bamburi (Vescon area) because of the same issue. Noise, rowdy drunkards, congested roads and prostitutes became a common feature in a once quiet and respected neighbourhood. I had counted 40 bars n wine & spirits outlets in a 1.5km stretch. Sadly a weak residents association n corrupt county enabled it to prosper
MCAs Hon. Robert Alai and Hon. Moses Ogeto what you are doing is of great importance.... Political education is vital. Asking for votes is just the start the next move is holding them accountable... Keep up the good work.
Kudos Alai, this country is rotten..we are all seating on the back seat as we wait for the ship to sink..it shall be bad in ten twenty years to come..we have had a leadership that's so selfish..we don't look at the future..it's a societal problem.
MCAs should not only focus on noise, it's laws on zoning as well. Have the laws changed to allow night clubs in residential areas?
Churches should also be put on notice for noise pollution.
God bless you MCAs
And the recent church's as well. Those that hold Keshas the whole night with uncontrollable speakers.
all miss the point, it's not about people coming for meeting or forums, just do the zoning showing the residential, schools and commercial areas and everything will be solved and everything will fall in its place.
There is need to enforce planning requirements regarding restrictions on converting residential houses into business premises. Now serene residential estates are now turned into kiosks and shopping centres.
I love the balanced discussions. It's an issue of homeowners and economic interests.
What about those loud noises from Churches in residentials?
Add Mosques and Matatus and Boda bodas - same whatsapp group. NOISE POLLUTION.
Wonderful times
Make it a quarterlymeeting with the radio stations. Let the rest of mca rise up and call these meetings.
When iam home i live in the rural area. I cannot stay in noisy places even when you need to relax it becomes impossible.
What about clubs/pubs that where there before the apartment buildings littered the beauty of the Kikeleshwa/Kilimani/Hurli areas
Bars must be located outside the residential areas. Have the clubs in the CBD or in Malls or if they have then close to the residential areas ensure the sound proofing is done properly. They must have parking in suitable areas not on the roadside. Indeed they must not infringe on others rights
The problem we have is lack of proper urban planning. These bars should be kicked out of all eststes and just kilimani, kileledhwa, etc
Such a serious issue
They did not get that proverb, sloping is going down.
sure sure
And those loud churches
We miss you in Embakasi Nyayo.
What kind of MCA did you elect? Just tell voters in your ward to take elections seriously.
Ok
MAKE BURU GREAT AGAIN…Those additional unplanned constructions have turned a once vibrant estate into an eyesore
Alai come to Tena estate and Umoja .. Even at 3 am , there's just Loud music.. as long as the MCA and local police have been greased, it's an F u to the rest of the people
What kind of MCA did you elect? Remind him to do his job.
@@georgeodhiambo598 actually that's not the work of the MCA. But thanks for the suggestion..
@@Canadian1987guy It is! County legislation is the work of MCAs! Oversighting the county Executive is the work of an MCAs! Representation at ward level is the work of an MCA! That's exactly what Alai is doing in Kileleshwa. And remember that I was responding to your comment in which you were crying out to Alai to come to your aid! If it is not the work of an MCA, then why were you begging Alai to save you from yourselves? Your comment lacks focus!
@@georgeodhiambo598 it's a joke. Its like telling Kisumu gov to come and sort Nairobi issues . Wewe to ndo umeweka kwa roho.. Weka kwa lungs and breath out.. Does my comment even make any logical sense?
I am seeing a problem of identity . What is kilimani project foundation?
Just call it Kilimani Resdention Association. Even grafe one kid will identify with. But a foundation project, i as i an adult could not understand what you are talking about. Change the name.
I'm not a lawyer, but a foundation and an association covered by different Acts of Parliament. Maybe by being a Foundation they are allowed to receive donor funding while an association the funding would have to be provided by residents which then becomes a barrier to entry.
Bars are okay but these random developers in residential areas are the bigger issue. People should stop building flats in Residential areas.
Bars are ok?. What a thought....
@@fredkangethe7497 yes bars are okay.. if you’re an alcoholic and immoral that’s your own issue .
But flats are residential structures, aren't they? Or are you questioning the transition from single dwellings to multiple dwellings?
Wow what a terrible interpretation of the proverb..
Especially that MCA comparing it and chuckling about Baragoi made me cringe
Instead of discussing thing that my change the life's of your pples you r talking about noise, alcohol
Noise and excessive consumption of alcohol changes lives - adversely!
and why were you guys asking for something yesterday? fake!🤣🤣🤣 greedy and now bitter that something did'nt come through..you were heard🙄..Alai and Ogeto yes you..
The same same MCA's went to look for votes in those bars....now they've got the seats...mnapiga vita hao wenye bar, mnataka biashara zao zifungwe.....like seriously, haya hamna!
How will it feel when you live in an area infested with bars which pollute the environment with noise? Its not always about profits.
@@shaicagates5341 .....i live in Bamburi...there are so many bars there, we're used to the noise pollution, it makes us more alert at night...did you know areas or estates which have no bars/nightclubs around have high levels of burglaries
@@williekitala6567 if that's the case, then let's turn every home into a bar and have prostitutes in every home.
@@kijana2030 😆😆😆😆...ukiaanza pia mimi nitafanya hivyo
@@williekitala6567 Say I Willie is used to the noise dont speak for everybody. I'm sure if you interview some residents there they'll wish to relocate to other less places yet they own homes in Bamburi
