I picked this up last weekend, and have been playing it repeatedly. I definitely like the solo mode on this one.

Yeah, something about it has the "just one more play" going for it. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for covering this. I did a last minute playtest and rulebook test for the game and really enjoyed it.

Oh, that's great. It really shows, because I was thinking the game was well developed, especially the solo mode.

Great review! I like the aesthetic of this game and the ease of play. Curious to hear your thoughts a little more on its replayability before the games start to feel the same. That being said, I'm adding this to my pick up list. Thanks Daniel!

Thanks for watching! I'll probably make a first impressions video soon. However, to answer your question, I think there is quite a lot of replayability in the game as long as you shuffle each play. Or, after one play, take the remaining 14 spells and draw one of each color for the second play. Then use the final 7 spells for a third play. That way in three sessions, you will see all spells and have some interesting combinations. That being said, it might become samey after 20 plays or so (I've played six times), but then you may put it away for a few months and bring it back out again. Also, this game is ripe for expansions, as adding new spell sets should be easy to do. So, if they continue to expand it (even just once or twice), this game will last forever in my collection.
