I made a mistake regarding the blue meeple action. You also count the tile you ended your movement on if it has a blue reward icon. Thanks to my audience for catching that error!

Five Tribes is one of my favorite games! Which now knowing there’s a solo mode, I’m very happy to try out! Thank you 🙏🏼

I did not realize that there is a solo variant for Five Tribes. I am going to have to give it a try. Thanks for the video, Daniel!

Great play through as always. I thought you did well to get to Junior Jafaar. You would have to have a "Splendid" game indeed to get to Saladin level.

thanks for the video, it was very helpful. i just have problems finding the solo rules on days of wonder hp. could it be that those have been removed? i can only see the ordinary rules.

Huh. Well, that's a somewhat unique mechanic. Can't say as I have actually heard of this game (big shock), this looks really interesting. I may give this one a whirl.

I don't think it's well known as a solo game, since the solo mode came years after its 2014 release. It's a solid game, both solo and multiplayer. Thanks for watching!

@@RyanAshley419 Thanks, I saw that one, too. But that's a different (and inofficial) solo mode :) However, I found the correct rules in a facebook post from Days of Wonder: ncdn1.daysofwonder.com/five-tribes/en/img/ft_solo_en.pdf

Shouldn't the blue meeples the AI picked up be costing you a little more? In the rules it says to count the surrounding tiles and the one that you picked up the meeples from to determine the points.

The AI gets the normal blue worker action with the exception that it removes your coins instead of gaining coins. In the blue worker action, you only count the surrounding tiles that have a *blue* reward icon on them. I apologize if I wasn't clear enough about that in my rules explanation.

@@tabletopforone I thought your explanation was fine but from the rules on pg. 5 it says under the blue meeple action, "Count the surrounding number of Blue valued
Tiles, including the Tile you ended your turn on." So unless I misunderstand what the rules mean by that I believe you're under counting the blue tiles.

@p3ter20002000 You're right about the tile underneath. Thank you for the correction. I'll pin a correction note.
