i feel so bad for xisuma. first time he was just confused and everyone thought he was the demon. this time hes the town drunk and ends up even more confused.
I don't know, he was acting like the drunk despite not even knowing he was at the time. It (unintntionaly) fit his role quite well. EDIT: also, is there a reason you don't start the count on the playerless blocks? thus insuring that the players always have a moment after you say go to vote?
But he also seemed to figure out a lot on how to play, unfortunately he got smacked with more confusion to understand. But it's funny. Next game he'll be a pro
If they move on to next base three script, I’m betting that he’ll get Savant which is each day learn two statements from the ST, one is false and one is true.

Absolutely love the small touches and simple visual upgrades from last time Cleo. The white chestplates for ghosts, the horn and the edittable signs makes it all feel more refined. Its also nice seeing a few of the hermits starting to pick up a little on game stratergy, joe especially stood out for me in that department but that comes unsurprisingly. Hopefully with a few more games in them they'll fully understand the rules and tactics, and will all be at the same level. Poor Keralis was so lost bless him, very much didn't grasp the game in the same way impulse did last time and I just think lack of knowledge really bit him in the butt. Though having an empath which can confirm a fortune teller and an undertaker as good is so so powerful and would be difficult to overcome at any skill level of this script. Overall this game was more predictable, but it definitely showed us that the hermits are starting to get into their groove and I can't wait to watch them evolve into pathological liars :)
Impulse picked up the game quickly because he played the crap out of Among Us on "Friday Night Stabby Stabby" streams with Tango, Mrs. Tango, Skizz, Joker, EvilNotion, and occassionally a bunch of other Hermits/MCYTers like Grian, Scar, Etho, False, Pearl, Joel, Scott, etc. While the games are very different they still very much rely on social deduction, deception, and gleaning information while keeping some tight to the vest.
I feel bad for xisuma, getting the most confusing role in the script, and Keralis as the demon in his first game with more experienced players! Cleo could have given the evil team more of a chance had they pinged the mayor kill onto Joe, but still, great game!
I absolutely love watching you guys play BotC! Im always hype for hermit interaction, especially if it involves scheming. Joe and Gem were the real MVPs in my eyes. Joe was fantastic at pulling information together into correct conclusions, and Gem has a great social read. This was so fun to watch!!
I've watched Joe play Among Us before. He's very good at it. I'd love to see him get to be the demon in one of these because he can straight face bs his way through stuff really well
I think there should be a special role, just for Xisuma, called The Void. Where no matter what information he gets, it's wrong, but he at least KNOWS it's wrong, and has to put together the correct information in reverse (eg "I was told that this person MUST be evil, which means they must NOT be evil"). It would do nothing but confuse the poor man and be incredibly hilarious to watch. (This is a joke; I feel sorry for the poor man getting the drunk role on his second game, but it is. Highly entertaining.)
Funnily enough, a role like this is planned to release in the future! Astrologer: Each day, visit the Storyteller to learn a piece of false information. Once per game, it's true.
man i am more excited to watch this than decked out. not sure what i found more funny, xisuma not only having the least experience but getting 1 of the more complicated roles or how impulse went from being the leader of demons to leader of the town
oh!! I haven't watched cleo in a bit, I check back to catch up and see she's playing one of my favorite games of all time. Was not expecting BotC on hermitcraft!
Nope, they don't negate each other. A drunk, poisoned, or both player will get arbitrary information, and their power won't work anymore. It's up to the Storyteller what they learn.
Not necessarily, but you *can* give a Drunk correct information. Like when a Drunk knows they're drunk and the evil team is losing, it can be very helpful to give the drunk true information because they will assume it's false. You know, given that they're the drunk. AFAIK information only *has* to be false in a Vortox game.
It would be kind of funny if the effects actually doubled down and they got some kind of impossible number or info. "You get a 3 on your neighbors." "Wait what?" Would likely help them figure out their role if it happened at least, haha.
@@MortalAnonymous You could theoretically do that with any drunk or poisoned player haha. If you feel like the good team is struggling, make it obvious that they're droisoned
I love this, such a great idea! I was a bit confused about why Xisuma was so upset about being made the drunk, but then I went back and watch the previous game which I had missed. That poor guy, they need a hug and a cup of coco!
Cleo, i am obsessed with this game! It’s very interesting seeing how all the hermits interact with each other in their own respective roles and these types of games in general is fun. Would love to see more of it in the future (:
This is really fun. Cub not making it in time was sad, he is a fun guy to have in these games. Keep these coming! Joe Hills getting to fully participate was also nice! Would be nice to get the Spoon: Mumbo to join. Or some chaos in Scar/Grian. But otherwise, please keep these coming! Bdubs with Empath really made this game a bit too easy especially since it was Keralis's first game. :( Poor Keralis, he didn't stand a chance.
The moment X pulled the Drunk role I was like "Oh, this is NOT going to help him understand the game any better!" EDIT: Cleo's slight double-take when she turned around and Cub had just APPEARED. xDD
This was so much fun to watch! X getting the drunk and Keralis being new made the outcome even more unpredictable and interesting to watch ^^ I really hope there will be more rounds of it!
I wonder how long BOTC in hermitcraft will last. Would be really neat to see Bad Moon Rising and Sects & Violets played at some point. It'd be amazing if this lasts long enough for the hermits to dip their toes into the experimental character pool.
I've been giving comments to each D.O. hermit ep. to offer to the algorithm, but Clocktower is also a complex and fascinating game that deserves comments too. Well done, Cleo. @};-
Oh man, getting Soldier as a fake alibi is so good . Just don't kill anyone night 2 or 3, claim you were shot at, easy town cred . (Still at the start, let's see how it goes) Edit Day 2: False has got to be 100% certain it's Ren and Keralis now. I can't believe they both voted on Bdubs; the most town player in the pool currently. Edit 2: End. That was extremely unfortunate for Keralis to get Imp his very first game. False getting info on Keralis night 0 was even more unlucky. Cleo if you happen to read this, if I could make a small suggestion? Would it be possible to include chapters so the viewers could kinda play along without knowing the role information? Like I'd love if I could just see the day phases. (There's probably a bunch of RUclips reasons why that's not ideal, which is fine and totally cool) Final words, I love this game and social deduction games in general. I live watching your videos on them and I love watching the hermits play. You are doing such an amazing job.
There was so much improvement in game play and strategy between the last game, I’m so excited to see what the next one will bring. I also hope next time Xisuma can have a little more luck with roles, while I absolutely love his cluelessness I’m sure he’ll enjoy the game even more when he isn’t so overwhelmed.
Finished the video and I just wanna say Cleo, this was an excellent addition to HC this season. With all the decked out videos, this is such a delightful change of pace! A+ Content! Ms Cleo!
I love these sessions so much, I know it must be a challenge to schedule and organize so many people but thank you for doing these; they absolutely make my day!
I already watch joe and false perspective and now i just finished this video. We need more of this Hermits Interaction. The game is so Good. More Round Cleo❤️❤️❤️
These videos are so great, i get so invested in the game! I think what keralis should've done was used his first day to lie and try and confirm rendog as a good player, and then sacrificed himself on the second night. A single Imp who everyone trusts with a "dead townsfolk" confusing all the other players sounds like a winning strategy.
Xisuma was much more confident this game! He was mostly confidently _wrong..._ but, yeah. :P Him hitting everybody with essentially "I know that I know nothing" near the end was top notch. Also the excitement of Joe, Bdubs, and False getting together in the library and figuring things out! And then gem bringing false in!
Town having 4 good info roles is a bit rough for the evil team, especially since they are new to botc. Maybe having a non-info role would've been a more balanced script. I'm unsure how ready they are for sects and violets, X's brain will definitely melt lmao, but i'm excited to see it next week!
I know Hermitcraft is over so this might be a bit too late but for anyone who might play this game on the world download or even if a similar one is ever made in future I have an idea of how to make it a little easier to keep track of the player actions. I think a good idea for this would be to do an item frame grid on the wall. On both axis have the players (signified by their role) but along the rows/side it’s who is doing the effect and along the columns/top is who gets affected. So if the poisoner poisons the empath it would be in the row that has the potion bottle and the marker for the action would go in the Empath’s column. As a way to keep track of who is doing what to who that’s a bit quicker to navigate than the signs. Then the signs can be for more unchanging stuff, like what Cleo did for the red herring in impulse & labelling who is what. So a sign wall and an item frame grid wall. That way you won’t have to remember to erase and rewrite signs every time bc that can get messy or confusing. Obviously, if you’re confident with keeping track then this might be irrelevant but I know I’d get myself turned around with that.
I feel like the evil team's biggest issue was that Ren kept avoiding being in conversations alone with Keralis. If they'd been able to coordinate Bdubs being poisoned and Joe dying in the same night, that could have swung the game well into the evil team's favour. Ren learning the demon bluffs might have made him less suss as well. It was a shame about your slip-up with letting the Mayor die - bouncing that to Joe would probably have been the best move, but there's so much to keep track of as the Storyteller that it's easy to miss those things in the moment. Impulse was correct at the end though - Keralis only would have needed to get five votes on a nomination to save himself, because the tie would have meant no-one was executed. Having Poisoner and Drunk in the same game is pretty harsh on the good team though. Maybe next game have neither - they'll be so paranoid about them being in the game they'll probably invent them 😅 I wonder if maybe it would be worth having some kind of physical representation with blocks of the townfolk/outsider/minion/demon count? The outsider count can be really important for working out if there's a drunk, but the hermits seemed to forget that. Also, maybe just rig the dropper for X's pick next game 😂
I NEED MORE MORE MOREEEEEE, this is such a fun game and its just so nice seeing all the different hermits interacting and playing games together like this!
poor Xisuma. always confused about this game, then to top it off, gets even more confused. so interesting to see how the game dynamic changed from last time to this one. And very well done to the Imp. I know how hard it is to deceive your friends. once again, cheers to Cleo for emulating this wonderful game so well in Minecraft. :D
Nope, they don't negate each other. A drunk, poisoned, or both player will get arbitrary information, and their power won't work anymore. It's up to the Storyteller what they learn.
I would love to have the defendant immediately be on the block, and if the votes allow Cleo can hit a switch and an anvil comes crashing down on the defendant spot😂 Actual guillotine on the block
hey! im a more experienced clocktower storyteller and dont know if you read the comments much, but i've been loving the series so far. one thing id say that might help your players a bit - unintuitively, giving players concrete advice and strategies often isn't all that helpful, because it can make them feel like they're restricted into certain playstyles. besides that, everything has been great (i especially love the way you peer into private conversations, it is very funny) edit: also, if you're trying to really hone your ability as a storyteller, it's a great idea to choose the drunk *after* everyone has drawn their role. that way, you can more precisely control the misinformation of the game
Part of the problem is that making content also makes this a bit more challenging, I’m stepping back a lot more as they learn the rules. We’re stepping up to sects and violets next game
Spoilers: Very good game! Poor Keralis was so confused, and False getting between him and Ren really hurt. Wasn’t much that could be done but do agree with what you said that pinging off impulse into Joe or someone might have created confusion and stopped additional info that got Keralis killed. Also because of False I don’t think it would have mattered, but if Xisuma saw Ren as a demon bluff it may have helped Ren if he had known what those were, because he could have just said “yup that’s me”. Would have confused Xisuma even more though sadly haha.
I was engaged every minute of this video. Excellent content! Aside from high praise, here's to more Blood on the Clocktower sessions. Poor Cubfan missed out on this one afterall!
Great game Lady Cleo. Watching the people who totally understand how to play attempting to navigate the folks stumbling through makes for great television.
This was SO FUN!! i so hope we'll get more of these! Though I imagine getting so many hermits in one place is hard... Maybe now, while Decked out is off? Fantastic game, thanks for making hermits playing it!

What if there were a physical component added? Request a button from Admin that changes the weather to Thunderstorm and summons two zombies into every home: one in the basement, and one in the ground floor. This could be a one-time power of a minion who also must fight zombies. Players who die to the zombies become ghosts.

Maybe next game have neither - they'll be so paranoid about them being in the game they'll probably invent them 😅
I wonder if maybe it would be worth having some kind of physical representation with blocks of the townfolk/outsider/minion/demon count? The outsider count can be really important for working out if there's a drunk, but the hermits seemed to forget that.
Also, maybe just rig the dropper for X's pick next game 😂
I enjoyed both Joe's reference to Tiny Toon Adventures and the fact that Cleo didn't catch it 😁. The audience is now deaf.
I NEED MORE MORE MOREEEEEE, this is such a fun game and its just so nice seeing all the different hermits interacting and playing games together like this!
6:22 Love the "c" great touch!
poor Xisuma. always confused about this game, then to top it off, gets even more confused. so interesting to see how the game dynamic changed from last time to this one. And very well done to the Imp. I know how hard it is to deceive your friends. once again, cheers to Cleo for emulating this wonderful game so well in Minecraft. :D
Please please please play this again in this season!! I have watched this 5+ times from difrent hermits and it is still amazing!!!
if the drunk was poisoned would the drunk get more incorrect info or get the right info kinda like a reverse situation?
Nope, they don't negate each other. A drunk, poisoned, or both player will get arbitrary information, and their power won't work anymore. It's up to the Storyteller what they learn.
@@purplpasta ok thanks for the info ❤️
I would love to have the defendant immediately be on the block, and if the votes allow Cleo can hit a switch and an anvil comes crashing down on the defendant spot😂 Actual guillotine on the block
Watching through the different perspective, have to say Joe is pretty sharp!
hey! im a more experienced clocktower storyteller and dont know if you read the comments much, but i've been loving the series so far. one thing id say that might help your players a bit - unintuitively, giving players concrete advice and strategies often isn't all that helpful, because it can make them feel like they're restricted into certain playstyles. besides that, everything has been great (i especially love the way you peer into private conversations, it is very funny)
edit: also, if you're trying to really hone your ability as a storyteller, it's a great idea to choose the drunk *after* everyone has drawn their role. that way, you can more precisely control the misinformation of the game
Part of the problem is that making content also makes this a bit more challenging, I’m stepping back a lot more as they learn the rules. We’re stepping up to sects and violets next game
@@ZombieCleo makes sense, didn't want to sound too lectury with that lol. i believe in you all being able to handle s&v
Spoilers:
Very good game!
These games are a lot of fun. Nothing beats a bunch of hermits hanging out together. Thanks, Cleo!
Great game Lady Cleo. Watching the people who totally understand how to play attempting to navigate the folks stumbling through makes for great television.
thank you so much for granting us this delightful game cleo! its an absolute treat to watch (from multiple povs even)
Cleo. Please. I need the Life Series Members to play this game. You are a wonderful GM. I need more of thiiissss pleeeaaassseee.
I need so much more of this, it's amazing seeing all the chaos and suspicion.
HELP Ren's qoute of X accusing him of being the monk had me DEAD

This was SO FUN!! i so hope we'll get more of these! Though I imagine getting so many hermits in one place is hard... Maybe now, while Decked out is off?
Fantastic game, thanks for making hermits playing it!
oh man this episode. im really happy x gave it another go, its a shame he was the drunk this time around though. impulse...hilarious. i hope u host this game more, its so much fun to watch.
hire zed to make some hidey holes to spy on everyone from :)
bdubs being a town of salem fan makes me so happy
What if there were a physical component added? Request a button from Admin that changes the weather to Thunderstorm and summons two zombies into every home: one in the basement, and one in the ground floor. This could be a one-time power of a minion who also must fight zombies. Players who die to the zombies become ghosts.
Alternative is that Cleo, THE premier zombie, enters the home of one individual and must duel in a fisticuffs lol
Love love Love Blood on the Clocktower!!! I am so hyped by the amount of creativity that Minecraft and friends can foster. Between this and Decked Out, I am blown away by what can be created within an already awesome game.
Love the community and watching y’all come together. GG Cleo and the rest of you hermits 🥰
3:04 horse cleo

Ren is the minion, and even he thinks Bdubs is is the baddie 🤣
fell bad for Keralis, rule number 1 of voting in social deduction games: if you're the bad guy, don't vote with your buddies!
That was great. Poor X, I hope he gets soldier or something good next time.
New clocktower ep!! I'm genuinely so excited for this
the way keralis said "this game is broken" killed me LMAOOOOOO
I have never been able to wrap my head around these types of games. I feel as confused as Xisuma sounds when he's playing this.
Always fun to watch them all goofing off together, though.
I love these and really hope you keep doing them, it would be great to see all the players progress and learn the rules
The game hadn't started yet and I already knew that it would be chaotic. I thought X was the Drunk on the previous game, this time it happened and he's confused than ever.
Awesome episode.
Thanks for the update.
watching this so early because im obsessed with this game
I would kill for Etho to be in one of these
A shorter game from players perspective but definitely better townsfolk lineup.
I loved this so much. Hope this can be done again someday.
Immediately: Xisuma is the drunk.
Me: Oh... no.... poor Xisuma XD
38:52 If he poisoned himself, then he wouldn't be able to poison himself. He'd just be caught in an infinite loop of trying and failing.
1:06:28 What's up with the smoke?
1:21:07 Gem did a terrible job playing a recluse. I'm not surprised no one pinged on her - she came off like a total extrovert!
I thought it was so funny when ren and xisuma were talking about how there was a drunk and a poisoner in the town
