I don't think a lot of people get Dave's double meanings. Lost my soul when I walked out on you, I need some sensible shoes. I need to replace the soles on my engineer boots. Dave got me through the '90's.
I really like this record better than Skyscraper, even though Skyscraper has Damn Good (one of Dave's best tunes VH or not). The guitar is much better, and every song has this type of danceable grove that ages better than Skyscraper does today.

All the albums with diamond Dave are the best! But when Sammy join the band they turned into bubblegum music for young teens
