It is a fine piece of songwriting, performed with an attitude and energy that was honed from Simon's years of touring with some of the finest in the business.

I went to see deep purple on stage, this guy is not just an excellent guitar player, he is a monster, it looks he can do everything !!! And with an incredible speed and accuracy. Probably one of the best guitar players

Amazing player
Well, this is better than most of the material in the last DP album Turning to Crime. But it doesn't mean that the last DP album was bad. Nevertheless, now I'm exited (or not so worried) about the future of DP. I saw him live last year 2022, and I think that he is still warming up with DP material and the band. So the best part is yet to come.
And I'm also happy to say that I had listened a to Simon (with Don Airey projects) also before his new DP post, and I noticed that he is a really solid musician already then. So I was not surprised on the choice.
Just for discussion, a propoer term for Simon would be a musician and a guitar player.

Just a great guitar player, Little bit of old school in there which is good to hear rather than a normal shredding from most of the other great players,
